This is great to read right now as I wonder why I’m slipping into hyperfocus and staying up late! Not enough time to write things down and feel mentally organized and no rewards at all = overwhelmed. Time to stop and reconfigure.
I don’t see me eating a piece of the elephant until it’s gone. I will forget after day 6 that there is a whole elephant to eat, and I won’t feel like eating elephant. 2 months later when there is a rotted corpse of an elephant I will be like ‘damn. I forgot I was supposed to be eating an elephant.’ Even though I walked by it on my front lawn every day I had to go to work.
