My opinion that no one asked for: they both have high highs, but Lover has more lows/cringe tracks. If she had an actual editor for Lover and they cut the 3 or 4 worst tracks, the two albums would be very equal

Fully agree. 1989 is fine but there is only one song on it that I will go feral for (Out of the Woods) and a lot of songs that are kind of meh. Lover on the other hand has some low lows but some HIGH highs. Like I could live with never listening to most of 1989 again but my soul cannot go without Cruel Summer, DBATC, Lover, or Cornelia Street
