If they’re your friends or siblings or someone on that level then tell them to F off and deny everything if they snitch. If it’s someone that feeds you or may harm you then you have to lie your way out. This happened to me once and I said that I was debating religion with people online and saved their “hardest arguments” so that I learn more about my religion. This usually shuts them up quick because you seem like you’re learning. What are they gonna do? Force you not to learn?

I am thinking of ignoring the whole thing but it will ruin the relationship we have because they have been reading it for months and acted like they knew nothing or should I initiate talking about it denying everything? > This happened to me once and I said that I was debating religion with people online and saved their “hardest arguments” so that I learn more about my religion. This is great idea!

If they haven’t brought it up then just ignore it. I’d also lock up everything from now on since the trust is gone.

Depends on your situation. The relationship you have with the people you are exposed to, your level of safety etc. You can either outright stand your ground and hold your believes or you can play I only had doubts that I was seeking answers for game depending on your level of safety. If you don't feel safe please get away and seek help.

I don’t think they will use it against me, but it’s heartbreaking they were very close to me and this will ultimately ruin our relationship for good.

If they will not use anything against you. don't acknowledge anything! for now fake the relationship with them, and wait until you can get far from them. Cut them off!! Change the password. Makes me sick what they did. They have no respect for privacy. Worst type of person just bottom of the barrel behavior!! This happened to me by my sister. She went to my chats with friends it was a mixed group, and everyone was friendly and flirty with each other. After reading all my chats she decided to threatened to tell on me, if I didn't get out of the groups. At the time I couldn't do anything but do what she Said. But I hated her for it!!! Even though she said it was for my best interest. I didn't like that. She did that quite often we are not on speaking terms.

That’s sad. I hope you are doing better now.

riri808

Never better, you just have to cut them out. wish the best for you

How old are you? How safe would you be if they were to expose you? How does your family react to rumours made about you? If you’re going to be safe no matter the outcome, confront them and tell them that you’re done being their friend.

[deleted]

I was really worried but the situation is pretty chill now. Thanks 💙

SomeInitiative93x

Phew, that’s good. 💖

Godlyeyes

You can always beat their ass if they expose you

Main-Anything-1184

unless you outright said you're not muslim anymore or you can just play it off as doubts and shaytan whispering in your ear and your imaan being weak or whatever

Andromeda-Native

Just speak to that person directly and tell them you’d appreciate if the did not tell others your personal life. But if they do, I’d say simply deny that you completely left Islam and rather that you were using it as a way to collect your thoughts and try and find answers in order to raise your imaan or something along those lines. And regarding the insecurities I think most people would look down on the one exposing you for stuff like that so try and not worry about that part too much. Hope you’re okay

[deleted]

Yes, I am okay. It didn’t escalate to anything. Thanks 💙
