Worldbox is a god simulator game, where you can build or generate a world and place animals and stuff lon the world, there are 4 races that can create civilizations that will advance.
Yes, both things would be great. I mean, that's what the romans did. Sure, they enslaved people, but as far as I know the class difference was "slave" and "non slave" independent of race.
It’s ironic because the person who is whipping a orc looks like a Roman slaver/solder and Romans (like everyone in the ancient world) had slaves and slaves were heavily diverse.
I'd not mind having slavery getting added, after all it's one of the things that characterized civilization for ages.
And no, slavery wasn't a racial thing, at least for 90% of human history. For example, in ancient Rome a slave could be a Carthaginian POW to a captured Gallic civilian.
And here im not justifying slavery, but why would we ignore such thing that characterized us as soon as we began civilization?
It's because it's tye same thing on a different scale, if the Roman empire or ancient Egyptian empire still existed in the 1800s there slavery would jave been like that.
It’s so fucking tiring seeing this shit brought back for like the fourth or fifth time now. It always ends up with the sub splitting and causing a big commotion. Plus it doesn’t matter because the devs have literally said they won’t add slavery to the game. Logistically this game would need a complete overhaul of the economic structure and who does the work vs who doesn’t. Which isn’t worth it just to add a slavery feature so people can finally have their plantation simulator they’ve obviously been dying to play.
Exactly. Why do people here want such controversial and fucked up features so bad when we already have plenty. Its genuinely strange. Many of them are kids who don’t know any better as well. Most of the older players you will see siding with the anti-slavery. (Anyone also realize how fucked up pro-slavery sounds?)
It will make it a more realistic and historically accurate game, also part of the reasons people play games is to escape reality to do things they could never and often would never want to do, I play GTA but I'm not going to rob a bank irl I just want a fun experience.
“Historically accurate”
Worldbox is a *fantasy* game. Are mages realistic? Are dragons realistic? Are orcs, elves, and dwarves realistic? Are necromancers realistic? Are druids realistic? Are giant crab monsters realistic? Is immortality realistic?
I could go on but i will spare you
Also people dont always play games to escape reality. There are a few other reasons and one is passing time. Another is just plain having fun and progressing. But still, you are right that people play games to escape reality a lot.
Edit:This comment was ment for another argument but I won't delete it because I stand by what I said and what dragon did u/oddad6995
There having fun by escaping reality... also you corrupted what the guy who commented said just to fit you're own argument. Pretty petty.
Who did i corrupt? And how. If you are talking about u/Imgoingtoeatyourfrog he wasnt supporting slavery. He is actually mature and sensible unlike slavery “supporters” 🤢
Making false accusations now are we eh?
Sorry this comment was supposed to be on are other argument were the guy said that is a good idea for the game and you said he's saying slavery is good irl
u/Oddad6994
He was saying slavery was good, and irl/video game doesnt matter. Its still fucked up either way. It baffles me how people can be so dense that they don’t see how fucked up it is, and instead only want more features.
Either way, Maxim, being the absolute legend he is, fortunately already confirmed slavery won’t be added.
I wouldn’t like to see slavery as like a feature all kingdoms share, but I do like the idea of there being multiple variations of kingdoms with their own philosophies and the way they work, they can even change depending on the leader. So while I don’t think slavery as an overall feature would work, I think a slavery KINGDOM or like a kingdom that does attribute slavery is an interesting idea of adding unique traits to each kingdom
I mean slavery used to be about just slaves, regardless if you were white, black, Asian or whatever. Europeans just generalised slavery for blacks & Africans.
Naw I really don’t care to have that feature. I feel like having a setting you can toggle to allow races to take other races towns would be awesome. There could even be migration so people will still travel to other towns even if it’s not their race but it is owned by their empire.
If you replace “this” in your comment with what you are referring to then it is very much not good.
You literally just said slavery is a pretty good idea. Like bro get a grip and step back do you realize how fucked that is? Especially wanting to add it in a game with many kids that play.
“Hey billy what you up to?”
“Im playing the game you let me get”
“oh yeah what do you do in it?”
“Well one of my kingdoms just made the one they killed into slaves and burnt all their houses down”
💀do you not see the problem here
Also fortunately maxim already confirmed it isnt happening
You now you're making a bad argument, you could literally sat this about most games. GTA teaches you to commit criminal acts, Call of Duty trains you for war, and funny thing is none of olits true
4.4/5 audience review for gta and its in the top 15 games sold around the world
Call of Duty is a long series with new games coming out each couple of years but averages out at a 4/5
Both rated M
I heard slavery and thought it would be a way for races to survive and then later start a revolt and restart their nation. Guess I just wanted races to always have a chance of coming back instead of being wiped out completely.
They could be used to cut down trees, mine resources and build structures for the kingdom. Or they could be pushed to the front line in a war as meat shields for the army. Many ideas and options you just have to use your imagination really.
I agree with you, it would be really cool if they allowed mixed races in a kingdom. But maybe not a culture, maybe it should depend on who owns the kingdom for example if they are a militaristic leader they perhaps don't want anyone from another kingdom/race to be in their kingdom? Something like that, it should be some political card/view that may be accepted by some leaders and declined by others.
Exactly. So many younger kids here that don’t understand how bad it is. And then for the few mature people who have somehow got no grip on reality and they support slavery (“support slavery” jeez) they dont understand what will happen when a parent hears their kid talking about one kingdom enslaving another after killing everyone in their cities.
i mean it would be cool if like one kingdom conquers another and some of the citizens in the conquerd kingdom become slaves and i wish civillions run away from the army instead of just standing there 💀
I’d rather more games just don’t, especially asthis one doesn’t even have the excuse of being historical.
Like it’s always bad, it never goes well. The amount of people saying they should in the comments terrifies me
For the first time in WorldBox History…. SLAVE LABOUR

So will the real Slim Shady please stand up? Please stand up?
i mean the game already has mass infanticide
Lol There’s ten year olds in military in this game
I saw a 10 year old king once
not too unrealistic by medieval standards
fun fact: the youngest current monarch in the world is king oyo of uganda, who ascended to the throne at the age of 3.
I’m pretty sure one of my kingdoms once had a infant king because the plague was killing them all but it might be a false memory lmao.
I saw a seven-year-old general once
How else am i supposed to roleplay North Korea?
Anakin Skywalker with the younglings simulator\*
I just want multi-racial kingdoms
Their was a mod on pc that did something like this to an extent, don’t think it’s been updated to support new versions of WorldBox unfortunately
I'd love to see kingdom traits like Xenophiles, Xenophobes, Slavers, Melee Only, Ranged Only, Raiders etc.
Stellaris and rimworld come together in the medieval era lmao.

Adding xenomorphs from alien sounds not very good
Xenophobia = Hate other races/aliens. Xeniphilia = Love other races/aliens.
>Xenophiles, Xenophobes What are these?
Xenophile = Likes aliens / other races Xenophobe = Hates aliens / other races
O, ok, thanks.
It'd be hilarious if they added a race whose main shtick is slavery.. like for example... dark elves?
[удалено]
We already have humans in the game...
We already have orcs in the game
They are the hot ones
I don’t know who downvotes you, but I’m guessing they are some self righteous hypocrite
Twilight elves would sound better, but I’m guessing you are an elf hater too, I’m not
[удалено]
They already exist. In the human category.
what was written?
>Africans. It's historically accurate.
On a serious note I like how everyone always says every ethnicity was enslaved but always bring up Africans
Because Africans were enslaved on the largest extent
and in first world countries, the most recent
The Irish were enslaved by the British for hundreds of years.
.........ok was that more recent than the end of African slavery in first-world countries?
Insert old white guy emjoi here

Worldbox is a god simulator game, where you can build or generate a world and place animals and stuff lon the world, there are 4 races that can create civilizations that will advance.
That would be pretty cool, as a way to have other races in a knigdom
I think if this is added let them enslave from the same race
It should be kingdom based not race based and it should also be based on kingdom power and culture advancement. And power of military. Thats’s all ;)
I think it should be based on class too.
Agree!
Just make multi-fucking-racial kingdoms! Why do slaves HAVE to be a part of that?
Cause I want my Roman empire to feel as Roman as possible
you can have slaves too, but why not actual multi-racial kingdoms as well as slaves
Yes, both things would be great. I mean, that's what the romans did. Sure, they enslaved people, but as far as I know the class difference was "slave" and "non slave" independent of race.
Multi-race wouldn’t be cool though
I want to enslave some Elven scum
Get revenge on the Thalmor
The golden age of Mer has passed the age of Men has only just begun!
beasts > men > mer
Kinda ironic how the dude with the whip looks like a Roman soldier and the Romans well they were big slavers.
Ave, true to Caesar!
How is that ironic
It’s ironic because the person who is whipping a orc looks like a Roman slaver/solder and Romans (like everyone in the ancient world) had slaves and slaves were heavily diverse.
That still isn’t irony
Because I said so
That is not irony, thats called allusion, an image that brings something to mind without directly stating it
Degenerates like you belong on a cross
Woah there looks like I pissed off a emperor
We shall see how brave you are when nailed to the walls of Hoover Dam, your body facing west so you may watch your world die.
The new slave girls be lookin thicc
Degenerates like you belong on my bed 😳
It's only a sin if you're a bottom
pls don't caligula
Hold your tongue, wastrel.
No please my liege, I am a worthy Roman unlike those real wastrels you call barbarians please spare me emperor.
Thats not ironic tho
Oh well that's cool
It is
İt isnt
That's not what irony means at all. Irony would be if the roman soldier lookalike was the slave.
Dude, I think you're using the word irony wrong.
Worldbox players realizing elves can be enslaved:
I'd not mind having slavery getting added, after all it's one of the things that characterized civilization for ages. And no, slavery wasn't a racial thing, at least for 90% of human history. For example, in ancient Rome a slave could be a Carthaginian POW to a captured Gallic civilian. And here im not justifying slavery, but why would we ignore such thing that characterized us as soon as we began civilization?
Many people from the modern era choose to ignore and try to rewrite history.
It's crazy bc the 1800s slavery still has wide spread effects today still
Yes and it is utter insanity that modern people compare 1800s slavery to the earliest practices of slavery
It's because it's tye same thing on a different scale, if the Roman empire or ancient Egyptian empire still existed in the 1800s there slavery would jave been like that.
now this is epic
Oh boy... We're going to do this now...

No you removed all context, he's talking about a game ots fine, don't stiffle art
Worldbox can be 2 things fantasy and history because it gives you a choice whether you want a wizard in the world or not

We do a little tomfoolery
Ok ok but like hear me out-
*Abraham Lincoln has joined the chat*
Out of all the many ideas for updates why is it fucking slavery that makes a resurgence.
make it
Good idea tho
We should add fucking Karl Marx to the game
It would be useless in my opinion Edit: nevermind I just realized it could be fun.
Alright why would it be useless?
Well what use could it have?
They could be used to cut down trees, mine resources and build structures for the kingdom. Or they could be pushed to the front line in a war as meat shields for the army. Many ideas and options you just have to use your imagination really.
Workers already do that, however, it would be fun seeing this + an rare knowledge in culture which would allow races to live togheter in kingdoms.
I agree with you, it would be really cool if they allowed mixed races in a kingdom. This used to be my favourite game 🧓🏻
It’s crazy that maxim had to post a full formulaic essay about why he’s not adding slavery into the game
Exactly. So many younger kids here that don’t understand how bad it is. And then for the few mature people who have somehow got no grip on reality and they support slavery (“support slavery” jeez) they dont understand what will happen when a parent hears their kid talking about one kingdom enslaving another after killing everyone in their cities.
Ayo your dumb
Man cant even bring a valid counter so he just resorts to personal insults 💀
You're writebim to busy on you're other comment
Let's be real, that orc could have taken out the entire human population with just a whip standing in they way
Ayo? 🤨📸
You better stop right there, profligate! Degenerates like you should belong on a cross! Ave, true to Caesar!
Didn’t the Legion actively take slaves from conquered tribes and even the Mojave?
Yes
I always wonder how often I find NV fans this much
if you want to harass slaves in an rpg setting just play rimworld. You can do a lot more messed up stuff than just own a couple slaves
But I like WorldBox.
no not again - 👨🏿
The Original Video Link?
Hes got a point, just said it in all the wrong ways It would be nice if kingdoms could take over other race kingdoms and have them live together
i mean it would be cool if like one kingdom conquers another and some of the citizens in the conquerd kingdom become slaves and i wish civillions run away from the army instead of just standing there 💀
I’m down
