I remember an episode of cops when they arrest one guy trying to rob a convenient store but there’s suppose to be 2 suspects. They search the whole store and can’t find them. All of a sudden second guy falls through the paneled ceiling trying to find a way out lmao
I've found that, unless they've done or been exposed to renovation or construction work, most people passively view things like walls as invincible. I don't think it's really a conscious thought, just that they've spent their whole lives going around walls and the idea that they could destroy one with items found in the room just never occurs to them.
Those are firewalls. Double 3/4 in sheet rock. You’d break your foot before you kicked through them. Might be 2x6 studs also. You could bash your way through but it would take a hammer.
We worked in a little strip mall where the tattoo shop expanded, and all we did was knock down the drywall move the studs over and reapply the new drywall and electrical.
I’m a firefighter and shit is often not as it appears or should be. People break the law and cut corners frequently. Could be they are firewalls with lots of studs, or something else making passage hard. Could also be electrical wiring and stuff making it impassable. But worth trying at least. And if it was drywall I wouldn’t be shocked depending on where this is.
I'm curious with you being a firefighter and all. Could he set off a fire alarm to get out. I mean surely, if there's a fire, the door should open and not just stay locked and burn everyone alive inside, right?
FF here. The doors i have seen that unlock are the red fire escape doors that are locked but unlock when the alarm goes off. These are usually in offices or hotels etc and not used as an exit other than in case of emergency. I’ve never seen them as the main exit or entrance to a store. Of course you can also customize alarms for a home to unlock your doors in case of an emergency and let’s say you are asleep and also allows emergency workers in.
there’s several types of alarms for businesses but most are really only intended to alert others to exit. Most are not connected to a fire department and you still need to call for help.
There are also alarms that release doors so that they CLOSE but not lock. This is to to keep fire isolated and decrease the amount of oxygen.
Legally there should be two ways to exit in all buildings. Of course often this is not the case due to remodeling and whatnot.
The way he just casually walks in there and doesn’t even try to coerce them in compliance tell me he is used to getting his way on petty things. Reminds me of the thugs that would walk in the middle of a hallway and expect everyone else to walk around them.
If hes in Florida hes fucked. We have a 10, 20, life law thats going to get shoved right up his ass. This video is old. I should try to find out how it ended.
https://www.cga.ct.gov/2013/rpt/2013-R-0067.htm
I love hearing him beg like that though. He went from Billy Badass to a little bitxh fast as hell.
According to your link, 20 years. Double the initial sentence because he shot the door. Half of his life by the looks of it…
Edit: [5 years, in Houston.](https://abcnews.go.com/US/robber-shoot-pray-store-staff-locks-inside-video/story?id=52119743)
no sympathy, he's only sorry cause he got caught...
What about the stress and fear he caused for others..
Let's not forget who the real victims are here
Please, I have nothing. I have nothing. Please. I only shattered your door and damaged the frame trying to escape and would have totally run off leaving you to deal with the damages.
It's probably a Hi-point, so maybe like $74.99, used at local ye Olde greasy pawnshop. Apparently, having a shitty welfare handgun does not make an arch-criminal. I only counted four shots. He could only afford four? Damn, dawg.
Video is grainy as shit, so it’s hard to tell, but it almost looked like a snub nose to me. Also sounded like he clicked on an empty chamber/bad round at one point. Either way, he still had something.
This is amazing cuz he went through all stages of grief in this clip
1.) Shock: realises
2.) Denial: tries to open the door, thinking he can get out using his gun
3.) Anger: does everything he can do open the door in frustration
4.) Bargaining: begs to be let out
5.) Deppression: "Fuck I'm going to jail bro"
6.) Acceptance: can't do anything so just gives up
Armed robbery, in Canada, probably 2 for the gun, 4 for the offense. Will spend at least 1 year potentially 2 dead time earning time and a half. Plea deal will probably see him sentenced to 5, time of sentencing he would have to serve an additional 1 and half to 2 years.
The people that do these sorts of things lack the critical thinking skills to plan that far ahead...probably a contributing factor as to why they find themselves in such a desperate situation to begin with.
Yeah. Not saying he didn’t earn it but I also don’t feel good seeing someone beg to god. Dude fucked up his life. Wonder why he did it. You don’t just wake up one day and rob a place.
I have nothing please.
Well he only shot the door and caused thousands of dollars of damage on top of the trauma to the employees and customers. Wonder how much time he got?
"I have nothing, please! I only tried to rob you and brought a loaded gun just in case, and likely would do it again to you or somebody else. Please don't let me go to jail for my crimes so I can continue my crimes. I've not taken anything of yours so now we are all good, right? Please!"
Lol dude for every 1 person saying the police aren't harsh enough there are 1000 saying the opposite. There no reddit hive mind asking for harsher punishments like the guy you replied to. In face I'm quite sure that's the first time you've ever seen someone saying that on here, so you're just making this embarrassing comment about something that you've never even ween before.
Says he was on deferred adjudication. Does that mean he has to complete the original 12 year sentence and after 5 years?
“Bell was on deferred adjudication for 12 years from a 2015 aggravated robbery charge at the time of the April robbery.”
In the modern day robbing a store seems to be the dumbest thing you can do. Figure if you want to make a dishonest living why not just do credit card fraud or scam elderly people via email or something.
That involves too much thinking. These people are too dumb even for that. Chances are that the most advanced piece of tech they have is the phone in their pocket and even that is often overwhelming them. I'm not complaining tho, a world with dumber criminals is a better world to live in.
Your right. But dumb criminals tend to turn to violence. A smart criminal doesn’t even leave their desk, if they hurt people it’s via their pocketbooks only lol, dumb criminals will shoot someone over a wallet.
Some quick Google search work for background shows he got 5 years (and already had another robbery case hanging over his head). April 2017, Houston TX. Lucky the store owner didn't shoot him...
https://abcnews.go.com/US/robber-shoot-pray-store-staff-locks-inside-video/story?id=52119743
Yea it sounded like there were a few pings of the bullets hitting metal
probably thought real life was like a movie where he could just shoot the lock and kick the door down
LMAO DUMBASS GOT WHAT HE DESERVED! 😂🤣
Really glad everyone got out so this dude can't make things much worse. That person in charge of place needs a raise!
In NYC, which has some pretty stringent building code, a commercial space with less than 30 occupants and 75 feet or less travel distance can have a single means of egress as long as it discharges directly to the street.
Sometimes I wish this would happen to some of those stores in California right now like. if you seen those videos it's like what the hell. They just casually Rob stuff out there and sadly it's usually people of my skin color and I'm like why who raised you.
Um, the customer just standing there with her baby in a stroller while he’s committing a robbery ONLY to since the urgency when the other people start to flee? Wth
> Please, I have nothing.
Maybe not, but soon he'll have (another?) charge on his criminal record, so that's something.
> Help, please.
Thankfully the police showed up pretty quickly to help get him out of the area that he was stuck in.
EDIT: [Robber tries to shoot and pray his way out of store after staff locks him inside: Video](https://abcnews.go.com/US/robber-shoot-pray-store-staff-locks-inside-video/story?id=52119743)
And [here](https://inmate.tdcj.texas.gov/InmateSearch/viewDetail.action?sid=08995390) is his inmate record.
Just adding charges for every shot fired at the door, thinking this a movie instead of real life. Only thing that would’ve made it funnier is if the bullet ricocheted in his direction
Got real "humble" and "honest" when he needs something from someone. I'm sure he's a reasonable guy who would have made a positive change in the world if they were to let him out lol
Lmao what did he think would happen? "I have nothing, please."
Understandable I'll unlock the door and you can go on your way. We'll just pretend this didn't happen
What I don't understand... why shoot the lock if you aren't going to try to turn the core?
Like even *if* you manage to shoot it in just the right way to shear the pins... it's a deadbolt. It still needs to be physically disengaged, doesn't it?
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

Predator to prey in 30 seconds.
Has anybody ever considered kicking the drywall in to get out through the next store over? Being that it’s a multi store building.
The wall. The roof. A backdoor. He doesnt even try.
People who need to resort to this sort of behaviour don't tend to be the smartest
Plenty of smart criminals look at all the worlds elite, theres just a lot of dumb ones too, like all people
The smartest criminals lobby lawmakers to make their crimes legal. Or they are the lawmakers *cough* Congressional insider trading *cough*
Pelosi’s husband is that you? The stock market Wizard that never loses?
Smart ones rob you with lawyers or a pen the dumb ones rob you with a gun.
There is definitely more than one way out considering this definitely took place in either the US or Canada.
room temp iq
Didn’t look like this was on a patio in the Arctic.
This is what I always wonder too! Like...surely there's a back door, no?
Me too. A fire exit at least no?
Backdoor was my first thought
My first thought is also always anal. Edit: Guess it's spelled "thought", not "though"!
The video had time-skips, for all we know maybe he did try other things.
I remember an episode of cops when they arrest one guy trying to rob a convenient store but there’s suppose to be 2 suspects. They search the whole store and can’t find them. All of a sudden second guy falls through the paneled ceiling trying to find a way out lmao

Depends. But could be. If so There might be something he could use in the store to help.
That was my thought. He would be lucky if it was only 2x6 could easily be a block wall to get the firewall passed
Drywall is not what's separating buildings. You're kidding right?
We worked in a little strip mall where the tattoo shop expanded, and all we did was knock down the drywall move the studs over and reapply the new drywall and electrical.
Yep, in many cases it is.

Looks like this door was locked with a physical key so I doubt it.

You'd be surprised, when you look
I was thinking that. Literally was trained in survival tactics like that when I got RIT certified. Luckily this guy is a pos and not a firefighter!
Most criminals aren’t that smart to begin with so I don’t think he would’ve thought of that.
That’s what I was thinking.
What a privilege having the store just for yourself only celebrities enjoying this kind of service
The way he just casually walks in there and doesn’t even try to coerce them in compliance tell me he is used to getting his way on petty things. Reminds me of the thugs that would walk in the middle of a hallway and expect everyone else to walk around them.
This is one of my favorites.
Nobody got hurt, thats good on it.
True. I might even have felt sorry for him, if he wasn’t packing a loaded gun.
Which he used to shoot at a door multiple times. What if he missed? Or a ricochet hit someone walking by? Fuck this guy.
If hes in Florida hes fucked. We have a 10, 20, life law thats going to get shoved right up his ass. This video is old. More like 12, due to his prior sentencing. Assuming they ran concurrently.
He's due to be released in 2028. Got denied parole last year because of this incident and his behavior while behind bars.
This was in Houston. You “almost” feel bad with the apology, until you look up his COLLECTION of mugshots. Something like 17.
I've seen this multiple times, I think it's in Houston. Still... No surprise, there.
no sympathy, he's only sorry cause he got caught... What about the stress and fear he caused for others.. Let's not forget who the real victims are here
But he has nothing. Please. Please. Please bro. Frfr no cap.
Good news, he's about to have 3 hots and a cot.
Please, I have nothing. I have nothing. Please. I only shattered your door and damaged the frame trying to escape and would have totally run off leaving you to deal with the damages.
Nothing except a gun he probably could have sold for a couple hundred bucks.
It's probably a Hi-point, so maybe like $74.99, used at local ye Olde greasy pawnshop. Apparently, having a shitty welfare handgun does not make an arch-criminal. I only counted four shots. He could only afford four? Damn, dawg.
Prolly jammed and he didn't know how to clear it
Video is grainy as shit, so it’s hard to tell, but it almost looked like a snub nose to me. Also sounded like he clicked on an empty chamber/bad round at one point. Either way, he still had something.
Fuck that. Even if he didn't have a gun, he scared the living shit out of the people in the store. Dude doesn't deserve an ounce of sympathy.
And used it.
Don't feel bad for him at all. He made the decision to rob the place, gun or not.
[удалено]
Same, I knew it the moment I saw the title. His immediate freakout is a classic
Yeah this is a good one. He is a total piece of shit. Deserves worse than what he got.
It’s a good one. This shows more reason why not to rob stores or anyone.
This is amazing cuz he went through all stages of grief in this clip 1.) Shock: realises 2.) Denial: tries to open the door, thinking he can get out using his gun 3.) Anger: does everything he can do open the door in frustration 4.) Bargaining: begs to be let out 5.) Deppression: "Fuck I'm going to jail bro" 6.) Acceptance: can't do anything so just gives up
5 years
Yeah except that's a very arbitrary interpretation and not chronological at all. E.g #5 came between #2 and #3.
[удалено]
Most convenient stores here hold a max of $150. Anything over is dropped in a wall safe.
Its a cell phone store.
Even more worthless as the carriers will just mark them as stolen and the Sim cards won't function
He clearly wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. This was his second time robbing this store too.
How much prison time will he get?
This is so old hes probably been out and robbed 5 more stores by now.
[He’s locked up actually for another 5 years.](https://inmate.tdcj.texas.gov/InmateSearch/viewDetail.action?sid=08995390)
His offense dates are mine and my sister's birthdays. So weird.
Good riddance
Armed robbery, in Canada, probably 2 for the gun, 4 for the offense. Will spend at least 1 year potentially 2 dead time earning time and a half. Plea deal will probably see him sentenced to 5, time of sentencing he would have to serve an additional 1 and half to 2 years.
This was in TX what are you talking about
The people that do these sorts of things lack the critical thinking skills to plan that far ahead...probably a contributing factor as to why they find themselves in such a desperate situation to begin with.
He just went through the five stages of grief
The five stages of thief.
Yeah. Not saying he didn’t earn it but I also don’t feel good seeing someone beg to god. Dude fucked up his life. Wonder why he did it. You don’t just wake up one day and rob a place.
5 years isn't that bad honestly for his history
I have nothing please. Well he only shot the door and caused thousands of dollars of damage on top of the trauma to the employees and customers. Wonder how much time he got?
"I have nothing, please! I only tried to rob you and brought a loaded gun just in case, and likely would do it again to you or somebody else. Please don't let me go to jail for my crimes so I can continue my crimes. I've not taken anything of yours so now we are all good, right? Please!"
South America has the right idea of how to deal with these people.
They don't take any shit for sure
And how is that working out there?
Peak Reddit libertarian comment, when it's not REEE POLICE BAD, it's REEE POLICE NOT HARSH ENOUGH
Lol dude for every 1 person saying the police aren't harsh enough there are 1000 saying the opposite. There no reddit hive mind asking for harsher punishments like the guy you replied to. No they don’t
Hopefully a lot, especially after firing off rounds

Says he was on deferred adjudication. Does that mean he has to complete the original 12 year sentence and after 5 years? “Bell was on deferred adjudication for 12 years from a 2015 aggravated robbery charge at the time of the April robbery.”
He should get extra time just for his rank stupidity alone
yeah extra time back in school
They don't catch the smart ones.

Ofc this is Houston
That article is annoying, he wasn't praying, he was appealing to the store worker.
What a little bitch. Thug enough to stick a gun in someone’s face, but turns into a complete pussy when faced with the consequences.
With a baby present no less.
Is that bulletproof glass?
Don't think so, it sounded like the glass shattered. But it had metal bars in addition to glass.
Jesus, if it’s not bullet proof glass than those bullets traveled well outside of the store. Remarkable that no one was hurt in that case.
Yeah, I assumed he was shooting the metal lock but who knows. Either way super dangerous like you said.
Yea it sounded like there were a few pings of the bullets hitting metal probably thought real life was like a movie where he could just shoot the lock and kick the door down
Exactly haha
LMAO DUMBASS GOT WHAT HE DESERVED! 😂🤣 Really glad everyone got out so this dude can't make things much worse. That person in charge of place needs a raise!
No back door??
Where I live it’s illegal and a fire code violation to not have another egress
In NYC, which has some pretty stringent building code, a commercial space with less than 30 occupants and 75 feet or less travel distance can have a single means of egress as long as it discharges directly to the street.
This is true for 99% of the US
I'm guessing there was another door but probably also locked.
Oh, he'll be seeing some backdoor.
Don’t threaten me with a good time.
Hello my name is Bubba I'll be your cell mate
Ben Dover
At least he already felt what it was like being behind bars.
3:05 of r/JusticePorn
Only sorry because you got caught lmao
I’m not locked in here with you. You’re locked in here with ME
I thought the same but it should be "I'm not locked in here with you. You're not locked in here with me"
Where is the quote from
Fuck this guy. He had lives round in that gun around a baby, who knows what could have happened.
“ I have nothing “ welp, you’ll have three hots and a cot soon 🥸😂
I love this video. Nothing more satisfying than a rat piece of shit getting his comeuppance.
Niiice. Its fantastic when stupid pieces of crap like this get caught by their own stupidity.
Well well well, if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions…
It's funny cuz what idiot robs a place without casing it first. Not that I enjoy thievery in the first place but being stupid wins really dumb prizes
Right? Is there no back exit? He should know this, beforehand!
Sometimes I wish this would happen to some of those stores in California right now like. if you seen those videos it's like what the hell. They just casually Rob stuff out there and sadly it's usually people of my skin color and I'm like why who raised you.
Yeah, I've seen some vids of the most casual, blaśe robberies out there, like wtf?!
“I have nothing” well good news! You’re about to have a roof over your head and 3 meals a day!
I guess he was probably too panicked to think about trying the back door?
At that very moment, he realized that he fucked up 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂 fuckin dumbass get a real job
A job is good enough!
Cmon let him out he said he’s sorry!
Man there’s a kid in there
Nostradamus right here seeing the future. that's right, bro, you're going to jail.
STUPID FUCKER
I don’t even mind that this gets reposted all the time, it never gets old
Maybe try the back door? I'm glad this POS got caught.
As a black man, I have ZERO REMORSE watching him get arrested. Scum of the earth.
Cool but what does skin color have to do with this tho
As a Puerto Rican Mohican I'm wondering this too.
as a black man i'm wondering the exact same thing

Why would you feel remorse? Watching a video isn’t a crime.

The fact that the gun is loaded means I have ZERO sympathy towards him
“I have nothing” other than the a gun.
Probably there was a back door
MORAL OF THE STORY, ITS TOO LATE TO SAY PLEASE HAHAHAHAHA
No matter how many times I see this clip it brings a smile to my face
“Let’s rob the place that has bars across the entire front, nothing can go wrong.”
Notice anything familiar about this criminal? I'll give you moment..
Bruuuuuuhhhhhh
Just adding charges for every shot fired at the door, thinking this a movie instead of real life. Only thing that would’ve made it funnier is if the bullet ricocheted in his direction

Quick thinking......the trash got taken out.
Dumbass - Red Forman

Watching this guy devolve almost makes you feel sorry for him. Almost.
Funny seeing someone discover that guns don't work like they sometimes do in movies - they aren't skeleton keys.
Imagine being this stupid. Begging for mercy when he did that to those people.
Don’t these people have insurance? I’d rather get robbed then murdered
So entertaining to watch this scumbag squirm in his own regret and self pity.
What I don't understand... why shoot the lock if you aren't going to try to turn the core? Like even *if* you manage to shoot it in just the right way to shear the pins... it's a deadbolt. It still needs to be physically disengaged, doesn't it?
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuck it

Suckaaaaa!

Enjoy those meal trays
Bitch you were already going to jail, your face is on camera
Bitch you were already going to jail, your face is on camera
He gonna cry in the car
Fuck, I’m stuck 🤣🤣🤣
There was an attempt lol
"I have nothing." Should have sold your gun bro.
Armed robbery what a fool, what if he would’ve shot the owner or the woman & her baby. This shit is getting way out of hand.
The "Fuck, I am stuck" and "Fuck, I am going to jail" part was so satisfying to watch.
Get used to being locked behind bars scumbag.
Bet that gun isn’t registered. What a loser.
It would of been funnier if he was taken off the census via ricochet
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
At the very least this idiot should have hidden the gun and claimed he only brought a toy.
Don't worry, this dude will be back on the street for breakfast the next day.
