Expectation versus reality
By - My_Memes_Will_Cure_U
Why does every husky i see look so dumb and goofy, my old husky use to sneak out of our house and kill geese next door.
My husky liked to try to kill smaller animals too but he always acted absurdly goofy
And just like Goofy, he'll do it again.
I'll hyuckin do it again
That sound scary and kinda cute.
On point portrayal. My Husky is the biggest derp that ever derped.
This is fabulous!
I SO needed those giggles...!
I prefer reality
They really are the biggest derps! My neighbor has two of these goofballs and their antics brighten my day. They are hilarious! And I love how vocal they are. Those weird husky sounds are so freaking funny!
Reality isnt often perfect but it is in this case
Great. Not I really want a husky.
Just remind yourself, owning a husky is a lifestyle... literally, if you don't devote yourself to taking care of and entertaining a husky they'll destroy everything you own out of boredom and and starve themselves out of protest, that and they're more bullheaded than bulldogs...
Yes definitely. The husky tantrums subreddit has made me fall in love with huskies but I know that right now it wouldn't be fair to get one because I can't give it the attention it deserves. Hopefully one day though!
Has your husky really done that? My family has had three and none of those things have happened.
They require more work than most breeds but IMO the internet exaggerates this so much.
Former vet tech here. Its really the same as any working dog. Usually they can be fine anywhere with back yard and kids but alot of idiots get them in citys and only interact with them an hour a day.
What do you do now? I'm a current vet tech looking to change careers and always curious where people go
Currently work as a lab technician for marijuana producers but I'm trying to get a job in cancer research.
Did you go back to school then?
They responded under main thread. They had a bs in ecology.
I went from human EMS and ER tech to emergency vet medicine. My skills transferred well (but it does not work the same going from vet to human EMS work, pay sucks anyway) Went into occupational health after that (for humans...lol). Most interesting call was a guy who gave himself a unilateral vasectomy on the line, ran up 3 flights to my office. Ouch! I would have come to him, but he panicked an ran to me instead.
I really wish vet tech skills were more transferrable, or that employers knew what we actually do. I don't want to go back to school, but I find it impossible to find a job in another field with same pay or better. I'll probably bite the bullet in the next couple years, I just dread going back into student loan debt.
You can look up things like EMT, or ER tech, those courses are only a few months long, so way more affordable. It would get you into human medicine if that interests you, and you can then check out more permanent careers like nurse or paramedic. My other half is a Critical Care paramedic, handles the sickest of the sick (mobile ICU is the best explanation). Have to become a medic (2 years), then 2 years street experience, then can do helicopter work or CC medic.. I have done both jobs U mentioned,, both are not bad, and the courses are not hard, and will not put you in major debt. ER tech course was shorter last I checked, but EMT, if you live in an area where they work paramedic with EMT vs medic/medic, the work is super exciting, and you will be really hands on. Have to be ENT before can go to medic school in mist places. Check to see what they pay in your area if interested. If you think you would like to hear more about neither of these, message me, happy to discuss both. Years ago, both jobs paid about what vet tech did, but you would need to check.
It's most likely to happen if they're alone, I think. So if you had multiple at ones it's less likely.
Mine ate shoes when she was alone when she was younger. Now she just goes to sleep to wait for us to come home.
But she does NOT like to be alone, that's for sure.
Nah, we only ever had one at a time. One of them chewed some stuff as a puppy, but that's nothing surprising for a puppy of any breed.
I had to change my dogs food due to it being discontinued. She starved herself for 3 days before she ate the new food. She’d pick it up in her mouth and spit it out. She doesn’t destroy anything but damn does she let you know if shes pissed. I need to go outside bite the shit out of my hand and drag me to the door. She’s a great dog but huskies are something else. That and talking it’s hilarious.
Honestly don't compare a greyhound to a husky..
That last second of video should be the icon for this subreddit. It epitomizes the subject well lol
This is epic!!!
Can confirm. My auntie had huskies when I was growing up. Majestic as hell. Sitting there. When they did, literally anything, it was the derpiest way possible, every time. Always talking to you too. Loved those big bois
Toilet training a dog sounds like a great idea
Reality always trump's expectations
The whining and talking... one of ours always said, "I don't wanna".
At a sled pull, one attacked the dog next to her, the other sat and whined loudly.
Honestly if I don’t get one like that I’ll be disappointed
the original with sound makes it even funnier
Totally made my morning
Agreed except we need to stop calling dogs with neurodegenerative disorders Derpy or Goofy. It’s not a personality trait and not something they have control of. That’s like calling someone with Tourette’s derpy and goofy. It ain’t right
Needs more yodeling
The version with sound that was posted yesterday is much better.
Nah I already had a bs in ecology. I was a tech last year, worked in a lab this year, and am seeing interviews now.
Oops, you replied under main thread, the vet tech asking the question likely did not see your response, and they would not be notified.. This is about 15 comments below, under general comments vs that specific conversation.
They all look great 🤷♂️
It's better with audio https://www.reddit.com/r/AnimalsBeingDerps/comments/opyiz7/dadadadadadadada/
Makes me like reality.
This is my Arlo. Every single thing. He is a true weirdo and makes us laugh every day. Huskies are professional derps.
This husky represents my dog at another level
I love it. My dog is part husky, and he is such a durp meister .
The first part of the video is showing what a husky’s environment should be since they’re bred to be walking dogs
The second part is just clips of dogs that don’t belong in that environment or are untrained
Loved it..made my day..lol
And that's why I want one.
Can confirm. Mine is an absolute goofball
Reality is much more fun 🤩
