that’s why i left wawa, now i do way less making more

-_iv-

Apparently nobody agrees w me on that one lmao

bwoodgang

Yeah idk why you’re getting downvoted, idk who expects anyone to be okay with making just about what the new hires are making

-_iv-

The older generations, tbh that’s what my manager told me. Older people are okay with getting treated like shit and putting up with it cuz “respect your elders” but yeah this generation isn’t the same if I get disrespected by a manager I’m leaving 😂 sorry I’m not like the older generations and working my ass off for jack shit when it’s our generations fault for causing the inflation lol. Soo Probably true but when you get corrected by a younger person people tend to get mad. It’s just an age thing (most)people who are older don’t like that. I constantly see things that could be improved on like switching stuff around and your not even allowed to make your job easier for yourself 😂 w other co workers agreeing with you

Love_my_min_pin

Not all the techs are guys so jot that down

tiffanysugarbush

Minimum $15/hr entry level, management depends on experience.

-_iv-

Literally such a joke I worked my a*s off for 4 raises last year and make about the same as hiring rate lmao Let me clarify this includes the one we got in the end of dec early jan

madcatzplayer3

Don't get upset at wages going up. It's a good thing that wages are going up.

-_iv-

Don’t get upset? Mine isn’t going up I can’t afford an apartment at 40+ hour a week at 16.75 lmao a joke😂 people like you are the sole reason wawa is still in buisness I wanted to know if I could talk to somebody about it not just take the bullshit 😂😂😂

It sounds like people are okay with getting paid a dollar more than hiring rate to pick up the entire stores slack 😂 thank you guys gave me just what I needed to quit People like you will always be the backbone of wawa, a sad non caring about the employees environment that works the shit out of you for barley any money at all See your corporate men? That haven’t worked up they get hired from the outside so they don’t know what it’s like to work your job

TifftyT

No shot you’re a regular CSA and complaining about 16.75 right?

-_iv-

Huge shot.. Do regular csas run around the store all day covering people, making sandwitchs for ows, backing up register, spoilage? Whole management talks and sits around all day? Do they deal with the customers problems because your manager won’t step up or help you? All while being the ONLY person in deli and you have to be on boards and running deli all by your self? probably not. That’s too much for what I make I’ll get help here and there when it’s a busy time and need help making Sammy’s

TifftyT

That’s literally what probably 70% of CSA’s do especially if they aren’t strictly a register associate. Chances are any good CSA that’s worked more than 4 months has done/ does do exactly what your describing outside of entering spoilage. I know tons of CSA’s that actually check in vendors. If you had a better attitude you could be lead and with your ridiculous pay already you could probably make $18ish.

TifftyT

Pretty sure Regular CSA’s job description is literally everything you said outside of the spoilage. And you might think management talks and sits around all day but they’re trying to understand trends and plan for the next weeks to make the most money to be able to still make money off your insane pay as just a CSA

ImScars

You live in Florida and can’t afford an apartment making $16.75 an hour working 40+ a week? What the hell are you wasting your money on then cause when I was living in Florida making Florida’s minimum wage I was able to afford rent

-_iv-

Lmaoooo look at the rental market rn in west palm beach 😂😂 can’t find anything that isn’t a dump for under 1500 a month, sorry I don’t have mommy and daddy’s help. I want to foster care lol I pay all my own shit. People nowadays wouldnt know what that’s like😂 sorry not everyone is not privlaged and grew up with support and have a place to stay for *free 😂

-_iv-

High key what part of Florida are you from? Also prices of things depend on where your living.. believe it or not…

[deleted]

4+ years. I’m at just under $18/HR. I work overnights as a CSA…

jacqony

Most CSAs do everything you described and make things like . . . 3 years $15.19 4 years $15.23 7 years $15.49 Do you deserve more than $16.75? Yes. But you are getting paid a lot more than the rest of us that are doing the exact same understaffed job.

sotasara4

Email an exec in a fit of rage

-_iv-

More worthy it to just look for another place to work and quit, but honestly why would I waste my time trying to get something fixed that never will? lol it’s jus a corporate thing the corporate people don’t even work their way up.. they get hired from the outside w “assistant general management expirence from chipotle” but these people can’t even roll a burrito man, I’m more qualified for this, rather than the people who don’t know turkey from ham

sotasara4

🤷‍♀️ look for another place to work and quit lol. Honestly if more people would leave this trash ass company for similar jobs w wayyy more competitive pay, better chance that the people who actually can change things, might.
