I live by an island the navy had sorta planned to bomb in two.. never made it across but left a chunk missing and lots of forest you can't walk through now due to unexplored bombs..
I was just thinking about how many seabirds probably used to live and breed there. Perhaps they did a survey before hand to make sure it was rather desolate.
Well they started out by [taking a cargo plane and putting three rifle calibre miniguns on it](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_AC-47_Spooky), it just kinda snowballed from there
Got to see an AC-47 and an early AC-130 during Vietnam up close. I was stationed in Thailand, close to the borders of Laos and Cambodia. They were used to stop the flow of arms on the Ho Chi Minh trail among other things. You didn't want to be on the receiving end of either one.
For a time it was 105 mm and 40 mm…. If Sweden does manage to join nato I think a couple of new 40 mm Bofors guns with fire control should be gifted to the US.
Check out the Harvest HAWK package for USMC KC-130J’s. Putting boom on target then able to top off the tanks of whatever jet comes to take over once the day is done.

I think this is the first time I heard the live sound of 30mm cannon firing in AC130 captured by the camera also flying in the air next to the AC130.
The chase plane was flying close enough to capture the sound!
I was visiting my uncle in Florida when I was a kid. We were fishing late at night near the AF base where my uncle was stationed, and one of the AC130s were doing a live fire exercise at night. I would see flashes in the sky and hear booms seconds later. That was by far the best fishing I had.
We haven't just been sleeping for 70 years.
Whatever Fat Kim has, he'll die the moment he tries to get it out.
The reason the son of a gun is still alive is because we're keeping him alive.
Once the war starts, we'll kill them all. There is no mercy.
It's no use begging for help. We'll kill them all and take the land. We don't need humans.
My dad was career Air Force and on they used to allow families to see all sorts of aircraft close up.. I was inside one on display and was absolutely giddy about it at the age of 12. It is my 2nd favorite plane after the A-10.
I'll never forget the day I didn't get to play with one of these while in the Marines. We were going to do call for fire drills on a range, but weather came in, we waited all day then had to leave. As we were leaving the range, I get a call on the radio, it was the gunship ready to go, and I was like ugh sorry we're leaving 😕
"You are not authorized to level the church. Do not fire directly on the church."
“Fires on the strobing lights instead”
"Clean up that signal."
Awesome video!
What has the poor island done to deserve this.
Exist in the vicinity of a gunship
That island didn’t stand a chance
How long before the island is gone?

Does this hurt the island ?
It was within weapons range

"Woah they made that aircraft from COD to a real thing!!"
Legit though that’s how I learned AC-130’s were a thing. I was kinda shocked they said “ok let’s take a cargo plane and put artillery and 30mm on it.”

Those swedish 40mm's are sick
Goddamn, that 105 hits like a truck.
Dumps like a truck, truck
, truck, thighs like what, what what
Like a brick shithouse
Absolutely brutal
Whew, bad luck, eh? Our boat sinking? Good thing we managed to swim to this island, let's start foraging for something to eat. What's that noise?
RIP
made me visibly laugh on a work call, damn you
F to Robinson Crusoe and Friday
Fuck that rock, in particular
Respectfully Bro, of course.
This bitch even got wing mounted hellfires
And AGM-176’s. They just said give me everything at the munition store lol
Literally a flying Swiss Army knife. So cool.

Check out Harvest HAWK package for USMC KC-130J’s. I prefer to think of them as AKC-130’s
r.i.p birbs
😰
We all waited for that 105 amirite???
Holy crap an AC-130 post that is actually an AC-130.
Negative ghost rider, the pattern is full.
Because why wouldn't we have a howitzer on a plane
Closest thing to Rods from God that we have.
I mean c'mon, how could anyone seriously say no given the opportunity?
Surprised at the bombs. That shit seemed like overkill.
It's a cargo plane with a 105mm howitzer on it, we're well past overkill
Nahhhhhhh, there’s always room for extra boom.
Oh they're just getting warmed up...
I did not realize the new 130's carried so much varied ordinance. Very cool.

Mean machine
Who needs multirole fighters after all?
This plane is pretty sick but it seems like it would be utterly useless in any conflict where AA exists.

Is there any risk of a gunner pulling a Henry Jones Sr and shooting a wing off?
I am going to guess that the gun mounts have a pattern that prevents the gun from firing whenever a part of the aircraft is in the line of fire.

That island must’ve messed up real bad to get this treatment
Huh, I didn't know they mounted external munitions on AC130s
Useless in conventional war though. They were too afraid to fly them in the day time even in gwot times.
If the war starts, North Korea's air power disappears within hours.
So does South Korea's. Every runway on the peninsula is within range of their 600mm artillery missiles.
We haven't just been sleeping for 70 years. Whatever Fat Kim has, he'll die the moment he tries to get it out. The reason the son of a gun is still alive is because we're keeping him alive.
That's nonsense, the reason is that you can't get away with it without SK being destroyed.
넌 한국 전체에 공군 활주로가 몇개나 있는줄 아냐? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Do you know how many missiles the North has?
Once the war starts, we'll kill them all. There is no mercy. It's no use begging for help. We'll kill them all and take the land. We don't need humans.
Must have discovered oil below the surface. Time to liberate that island. Just kidding....kinda.
Since the title says it was filmed in SK, I'm assuming this is just a little reminder for NK on what kind of firepower there is in the area?
If my memory is correct, that island is Chik-Do Bombing Range, near Kunsan AB, RoK

Absolutely impressive! Now let's see it dogfight? Hopefully they have air dominance and good countermeasures.
The C-130 is like the fat kid. Slow and low, but hits hard. If one ever got in a dogfight it would just sit on the enemy fighter.
Dumbest "war" plane ever. It's just a goat-farmer-in-desert-thousands of miles away from US soil-oppressor 3000.

I'm fairly certain SK could roll Russia right now if it came down to it
One flew over my house
yeah, fuck that island
"Glad they're on our side"
Pretty soon there won't be any islands left in the Pacific
"You're firing too close to the friendlies!"
My dad was career Air Force and on they used to allow families to see all sorts of aircraft close up.. I was inside one on display and was absolutely giddy about it at the age of 12. It is my 2nd favorite plane after the A-10.
Great footage! All I think is f u in particular to the island 🤣
That is so cool
>AGM-176 I LOVE THE GRIFFIN I LOVE THE GRIFFIN I LOVE THE GRIFFIN idk why, it's just so cute and smol.
I didn’t knew the AC-130 had wing pylons! Stop! I can only get so erect!
First time I’ve seen a 130 drop AGMs and GBUs. All this time I thought it was guns only.

ENEMY AC-130 ABOVE!
Damn, that little island got f'd up. It looked like it was trying to blend in but nope.
Imagine being stranded/ship wrecked or just camping on that island and this happens! With the cameras they have maybe they check for humans first.
