Yeah they made a manga for Nexus, and recently it got a digital re-release because of the popularity boom of Nexus! Because of that I imagine it was easier for them (the translators) to get the scans, and then release the chapters.
Probably a combination of his reappearance in mainline Ultra thanks to UGF, and a resurgence in interest for ULTRAMAN THE NEXT, being the last major reboot attempt for Ultra before Shin Ultraman
The comic adaptation of *Ultraman Nexus* was originally serialized in [Terebi-Kun](https://televi-kun.net/), the children's entertainment magazine published by Shogakukan, concurrently with the airing of the source material in 2004\~2005. It was drawn by [Takashi Shiina](https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%A4%8E%E5%90%8D%E9%AB%98%E5%BF%97), the manga artist who is famous for his own works like *Ghost Sweeper* or *Psychic Squad*. The manga itself was very serious and full of intense moments although it was adapted for the little kids in a very limited page count. It was unfortunately cancelled because of the cancellation of the television show, but [later collected as a book form](https://www.shogakukan.co.jp/books/09126159) [in 2015](https://m-78.jp/news/n-3108), with the exclusive all-new 28-page final chapter and a few bouns material such as a producer's interview.
