xD that‘s hillarious. Hang in there guys, all my love from germany.

iCanReadMyOwnMind

What did he say?

GuterJudas

Nothing that made sense really. Something with he loves a yacht and the stereotypical Ja Ja. It‘s funny because it really sounds german partially and he‘s in good spirit. Must be a chill dude.

Jeffdrait96

Im laughing everytime when I see a video where they speak german 😂 hope they like our Haubitzen 2000

Informal-Tadpole-926

They DON'T speak a lick of German. Only make funny noises to imitate German speech cadence and sounds. They probably watched one too many WW2 themed movies and I guess they are not sympathizing with the Allied side. Good luck dealing with the millions of Ukrainian refugees in Germany! They will add as much value to the economy as the Afghans did.

MrTomash

>They will add as much value to the economy as the Afghans did. It's still more valuable than russian immigrants 🤣

iCanReadMyOwnMind

Why will people flee Russia? https://youtu.be/70ScZMh144w?t=9m55s

GuterJudas

Yeah right? Is not like all the intelligent people left already and/or there‘s already 2 million russians with us in germany.

Informal-Tadpole-926

Russians are Ukrainians are pretty similar, you won't be able to tell them apart. Racially, culturally basically the same people. Many ethnic Russians live in the Ukraine and many Ukrainians live in Russia as well. And the Russians who are leaving their home country now are the highly educated ones, IT professionals, doctors etc. Meanwhile mainly women and their young children are leaving the Ukraine at this point in time. They will only consume resources for the coming years. Kindergeld (child benefit) in Germany is higher than what a lawyer or a doctor makes in the Ukraine so I don't think those Ukrainian migrants are ever going to return to the Ukraine.

MrTomash

>Russians are Ukrainians are pretty similar, So if you insult Ukrainians you also insult Russians. Thanks for your opinion 😀

Informal-Tadpole-926

Nope. You can insult them separately. But denying that they are two Slavic peoples closely related is lunacy. Especially if you are talking about ethnic Russians living in the Ukraine or ethnic Ukrainians living in Russia. They are pretty intermixed ethnic groups.

Constant-Recording54

They are related so fucking what? One of them chose fratricide and now they can go and fuck themselves and die. Death is the only way out of UA for moskals. They are related and almost inseperable by your fucking eyes because the one who attacked did 300 years of eliminating Ukrainian nationality and identity but what the fuck do any of us know. *THEY SIMILAR MUST MEAN THEY SAME!*

senHenrik

Quit saying "the" Ukraine....its Ukraine

Azerd01

What..? Its obvious they are doing the german stuff as a joke. Potentially for numerous reasons, one being that russia calls them nazis. If you’re gonna be called a nazi and potentially killed regardless of your actual political opinions/actions, you might as well speak a little german. Maybe scare a Russian, or confirm their bias? You’re either gonna kill them or they’re gonna kill you anyway, who cares what they think.

Jeffdrait96

Didnt know youre a native german speaker. Please tell me more about my mother language

XelaMcConan

*"Oh no ppl who talk another language are scary wuaahhhh. Im scared that someone might say bad words about me wuaaahhh. I cant take a fcking joke in these times wuaaa."* Man what is your problem. Ppl get pushed into other countrys where they speak other languages. Where do you come from that you can spout that shit about ppl losing their homes and others trying to help them.

Informal-Tadpole-926

Hard to comprehend what you were trying to write. Give it another try. These guys in the video think it's funny to do some WW2 roleplay and blabber in fake German. There have been several videos showing this kinda cringe wannabe Nazi behavior. If you don't see the problem with this you are beyond saving.

XelaMcConan

Its not that hard but im trying to break it down for you, so you have your little bits Its not like ppl have always made fun about other languages: russian, german, british english, american english, arabic, italien, australien english, france. Who are you to say that ppl who fight all day all night cant do that as well? Its obviously a joke and for me its funny to see ppl enjoying my language, be it stereotypical or not. If you think spouting shit like: "I dont think they are not symphathizing with the allied site" you are the exact same as every russian propaganda shouting channel. Just disconecting yourself from reality and taking everything as an offence.

Informal-Tadpole-926

On the new Eastern Front it seems like the Ukrainians are willfully taking the role of their forefathers from WW2 who fought on the Nazi side against the Soviets. That's my problem. This is not the first instance when Ukrainian militants pose like this.

XelaMcConan

Well then its more complicated for you bc nazi germany liberated ukraine from soviet ruzzia. They literally cheered and helped them. Gave them food and were generally happy to be released from ussr tyrany. Saying that the unkraines see the germans as their heroes might be true bc they literally protected them but saying that they are the exact same, is wrong. He didnt even form a proper german sentence and he prolly doesnt even know what that means. Ukraines got shitted on multiple times from the ruzzians. Germans didnt even touch the civillians while z‘s are bombing villages who have nothing to do with infrastructure. In this context germans where like angels(not trying to justify their actions against ethnic groups). If german „culture“ gives them a confidence boost or maybe scare the russians then so be it. Bc the z‘s kill captured soldiers, civs, children, even ppl who literally helped them.

Rollrmayteeee

Nah I think you just don’t find it funny and someone else does there’s no problem here. because they are making a joke out of a shit situation shitter than anyone can comprehend. so you can’t really judge these soldiers because this is making em laugh and smile when not long ago they’ve probably lost a friend or two.

Disastrous-Leek-7606

"Cringe wannabe nazi behavior" ? So imitating speaking German language is considered "wannabe nazi behavior" ? Makes perfect logical sense /s. Only ones who've been not acting, but behaving and doing actions worse than the actual nazi's are the ruZki naZi orc rashists.

MistrSmth

"Lighten up Francis"

Allister-Caine

Erkläre mir mal was daran nicht Deutsch sein soll? Es ist sehr schlechtes Deutsch mit wenig Kontext, aber es ist definitiv Deutsche Sprache.

Informal-Tadpole-926

They are making fun of Germans conflating them with Nazis. I don't think you Germans should be proud of this.

PsYcHo4MuFfInS

Thank you for talking in the name of all germans, even though youre not german... As a german: Fuck off

kosky95

He is probably an American with a fifth grade German relative that thinks that is enough to take the joke personally

BrexitHangover

He also drives a VW and has seen a Rammstein video. Can't get more German than that.

ImpressiveCell

I'm not proud of it, but I do find it funny. I'm certainly not mad. Unlike you obviously for them making fun of Rushists.

Bisquits_222

Dude shut the fuck up already you have the dumbest takes on everything

bravotw0zero

for context, he was asked from the background to say "hvyntokryl", he replied and asked to say "palyanytsya" in return, both are Ukrainian words that are, somewhat jokingly, used as a checkpoint passphrase to filter out orcs (hard to pronounce for non-Ukrainians without noticeable accent). The guy in the background replied deliberately "wrong", so author went on pretending speaking German referencing the WWII.

thehoneybadger-x

Thanks for the explanation! You're the man!

GermanShepard95

that "jaja" touched my german heart

Registered_User666

You know that’s going to be cut up and plastered on Russian TV. Too funny.

Damned_orcs

Who cares lol. Can’t concern yourself with what Russians will do. If you tell them bless you, they will take it as a curse.

FATalist818

Winterkrieg! Ich liebe deine Hose 🤣

MacaroonNo1

Und was drin ist.

russianguyaux861

Och nö

tesat

You’ve ruined it.

Bazzo123

How can they laugh even under artillery fire… jeez you’ve gotta have some balls

Snoo93079

Anyone who's serve in a combat zone knows that's the ***best*** time to laugh.

Bazzo123

Yeah that’s crazy shit

DroidTrf

Indeed they have some heavy load down there. But I'd imagine you get eventually quite unaffected by the explosions after this being their daily routine for months.

Bazzo123

Yeah of course… still crazy tho

Chester_Money_Bags

I served in two wars and really you just learn to make peace with your mortality. Also laughing helps release the buildup of serotonin that builds up because of adrenaline.

he81eich01

Doesn’t actually say anything in german though right?

jdaiquiri

Nothing that makes sense

PsYcHo4MuFfInS

Just some random words it seems... doesnt souns like a sentence or anything to me...

he81eich01

I also am fluent in German but didn't understand much or anything

DarthHaruspex

So Steph Curry wrapped up the finals and went to fight in Ukraine? MVP fo' real.

etienne_bro

Ja chtefan curry wurst

Spudlyduddlee

Vhat ist funny abouts zis?

Firm_Friendship_7808

When he said " ja ja" I felt that

Turicus

At the start, he says "Palianytsia" and the other person repeats it back. It's a type of Ukrainian bread that Russians can't pronounce properly. At the start of the war there was an incident where a Russian saboteur was allegedly identified cause he couldn't say Palianytsia properly. One of my Ukrainian staff was stopped by the Ukrainian army during evacuation and told to say Palianytsia, in full earnest, even though she had Ukrainian documents and kids in the car. It's gone from password to sort of a running gag now.

Vano_Kayaba

Yeah, we got kids with toy guns and toy armor stopping cars, and asking to say that word

JustASt0ry

Can we get a translation from someone please, I want to laugh too

StreetTrial69

Some of the words sound kinda german, but I wasn't able to understand them. But I'll try: Background Soldier: Winterkriel (not a german word, maybe his pronunciation is off and he means "Winterkrieg" or winter war. Could also be a name) POV Soldier: Winterkriel (same as before) POV Soldier: Sie drei schwätzen also deutsch? Ich lieben Yacht ich (You three speak german? I like yachts, I) Background Soldier: Jaja (Yes yes) POV Soldier: Natürlich (Of course) Background Soldier: Jaja, gut Position (Yes yes, good position) schlosen schlosen (some gibberish I couldn't really understand, maybe they mean "schießen" shooting or "schließen" closing) Doesn't really make sense what they are talking but it sounds like that typical pseudo german accent from hollywood movies about ww2

JustASt0ry

Haha thanks, I like yatchs classic

Ritalin189

I think he said 'ich lieben jagd' (i like hunting)

StreetTrial69

That would definitely make more sense then yachts

jdaiquiri

Schlossen means, completed, concluded or closed

JJ739omicron

Standalone you'd use the participle, that would be "geschlossen" (as in "dieser Laden ist geschlossen" = "this shop is closed"), just "schlossen" is the simple past plural form of "schließen", to close, i.e. "we/you/they closed", so it doesn't make sense in this context.

jdaiquiri

Agreed, nothing he says makes sense it’s just out of context psuedo German. I used to have a German officer IN and OUT tray set that was labelled ANFÄNGEN and SCHLOSSEN.

JJ739omicron

but that was made in China, right?

jdaiquiri

I don’t believe so. I meant to say office, not officer, it’s not a military item or anything.

JJ739omicron

yes, I assumed that. Still, it is gibberish, it should say something like "Eingänge / Ausgänge" for the files that the office messenger brought respectively is supposed to take away.

Damned_orcs

Probably a lot of Ukrainian words distorted to sound German lol

Sansabina

Thanks!

JJ739omicron

To read the signs in the Panzerhaubitze 2000, they'll need a bit more German ;) Or they have to write the translation with a marker beside the button... However, the software in the howitzer was translated into Ukrainian by the manufacturer within the last few weeks, so that won't be any issue.

PriscillaRain

Didn’t even flinch at the artillery going off…

BDGirl9327

Translation plz

Informal-Tadpole-926

They are blabbering in fake German, making sounds that are similar to German speech but they obviously can't speak German. Kinda cringe IMO

OXBDNE7331

Sad part is Russian propaganda machine will edit this to prove their Ukrainian nazi theories

ProfessorZhirinovsky

Well, that’s part of the joke though, the Russian grasping at any straw to provide evidence of their nutty claims that their opponents are all Nazis or foreigners. They’d probably think it was hilarious if the Russians aired this video with thick Ukrainian accent as proof. There was an earlier one like this with Ukrainian troops pretending to be US soldiers and Taliban, united somehow to fight Russia.

SnooTangerines6811

This is where russian "truth reports" take their inspiration from: [inspiration](https://youtu.be/_8uM0zOBuSw)

WillyRosedale

That’s an old video. There’s no leaves on the trees.

Hahaha 😂 love from Germany ♥ slava ukraini

Aiass

I like to think that these are some of the guys that trained in Germany, on those artillery pieces. And now they returned to the front, and are getting ready to send some German greetings to the Russians. Written on 155mm shells.
