Imagine coming home someday at the end of the war from the frontline, or being a refugee in Poland or elsewhere, or somewhere in western Ukraine, and you find two used MANPADS just sitting on the floor in your bedroom…

OoRI0T_P0LICEoO

Wild. Would make a cool corner lamp though

Sassh1

Probably use them as furniture. They are cool enough to be new statues

Terminator857

What weapon is that?

Intelligent-Lawyer58

Igla manpad

OoRI0T_P0LICEoO

u/StolenValourSlayer69 said they are [MANPADS](https://www.google.com/search?q=manpads&source=lmns&bih=751&biw=428&rlz=1CDGOYI_enUS594US594&hl=en-US&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjCnPyi5-39AhWdlIQIHV4HBFwQ0pQJKAB6BAgAEAU) man-portable surface to air defense system. Possibly a stinger or something similar

StolenValourSlayer69

You’re right that they’re MANPADS, but they aren’t stingers. Although I did see another video from what looks like the same building/unit and they did have a stinger. These are a Soviet design, and I’d guess they’re 9K38 IGLAs or some variant thereof, although I am by no means an expert in this kind of weapon.

OoRI0T_P0LICEoO

I was gonna assume igla’s but I assumed Ukrainian forces just have stingers from the US. I’m pretty sure they got javelins or something from US forces. After looking at images to compare I definitely think these are igla’s

StolenValourSlayer69

That would be a fair assumption, but you’ve got to remember as well that Ukraine was basically _the_ manufacturing powerhouse of the Soviet Union, and they still have, or at least had before the war, a lot of that industrial capability. Meaning they can still make things like IGLAs on their own

chanuka7891

RPG

FromHeroTo_0

not RPG, this is IGLA manpad, an anti-aircraft handheld system

chanuka7891

How are they filming those things?

Sassh1

Probably using a gopro or a phone

DawnaOlson

😅shoot then scoot‼️
