Ah yes, that was my last trophy too. Congrats!

Lucky_cooper

Thanks. Such an irritating trophy.

cardboardbelts

Indeed. Also an amusing way to finish it out. Congrats, you beat the game on the hardest setting! Now spend a few hours kiting guys single file through a door so you can shoot them in the face.

UncivilPixel

Ha I remember this! Bloomin crossbow! 🤣 i will be going back to finish the dlc and start the GOTY edition. One of my favorite games!

Lucky_cooper

Yup, that damn crossbow. After a break I’ll probably come back for the DLC as well.

HolyMenard

That deadeye trophy was just trash. Took me 2 hours. Hardest one of the list.

Lucky_cooper

Yeah it took me 2 hours as well. Why did they have to make it 50 kills haha?

HolyMenard

For torture

The crossbow and Gwent card trophies were my last 2. I think I went back to it after 3 years and finally got them but MAN they were both a grind…congrats!

Chabby_Chubby

Impressive. Very nice! Congrats on the platinum. Was death March difficulty hard to get through?

Lucky_cooper

It was hard at the start as I was still figuring out how to properly fight. Once I’d played enough it became fairly easy, even the last boss fights weren’t much of a challenge (maybe I was just too prepared).

I started a death march run recently and I've been getting killed so often that I'm saving constantly to avoid losing progress. Any specific build tips? I've got active shield and I do decent in combat, but playing is nerve wracking.

Lucky_cooper

Yeah i got used to saving very often. I feel the best tip I can give is to learn the attack patterns of enemies, and to roll and dodge often. For drowners, for example, they always charge at you so you roll to the left or right. Then you can get like 3 or 4 hits before they attack again so roll to the side before that. Rinse and repeat. Enemies become most problematic when they’re in groups, such a bandits, so just keep wary of each enemy and keep them in screen, avoiding the centre of the group. I found a good way to deal with groups is to use igni or bombs. These help to control the group such as by setting them on fire, temporarily stopping them from chasing you. I don’t think I really ever had a specific build but just try to level up as much as possible by competing quests or exploring. However, pick your battles, it will never be worth it to try and kill some monster that is a much higher level than you. Finally, make full use of alchemy! Try to get as many oils as you can and upgrade them to increase damage. Also, use swallow potions as a general healing potion. For alchemy, you need LOTS of formulas, which are found in chests. If need be, you can look at interactive maps on the internet to find the locations of unmarked chests, this helped me a lot to get lots of good recipes and such. Not sure if you needed all these tips but good luck!

Nah, these are all great! It's been a hard time going so far and I really appreciate the tips. Thanks?
