I love how easy the bed lights are to install. Such a great feature to have.
Edit: also MGM gang!
LED bed lights are a no brainer. Got mine from BAM. Easy peasy. Just wish there was a gate down detector for the open door circuit.
Oh man a gate down detector would be amazing.
what do you mean by this?
There's a little switch at each door to know when it's open and to trigger the lights (and dash indicator) accordingly. Tailgate lacks this
Got it. I was concerned that when it was down and you had bed lights it was keeping them on. Anyhow I see what you’re saying now.
Dropped a propane tank this way….oops
Bed mat has been so useful, you can actually sleep in the back without breaking your spine
I want to be like you one day.
I’ve def wanted a dash cam. Please lemme know you feedback on the garmin
I always wanted one but could never get over the power cord and how obstructive they were on the windshield. This Garmin mini with the adapter solves both problems. Video is high quality and the app is easy. Just connects to the phone via Bluetooth and writes over a micro sd card.
This is the best option for a clean install...
Fitcamx 4K Dash Cam
The adapter he bought actually makes a pretty clean install as well
1. Front window tint
2. TRD Praux grill
3. Garmin mini 2 dashcam
4. Bed mat
5. LED bed lights
How is the dash cam? I need one, San Antonio has shit drivers. I also thought the TRD came with bed lights like someone else mentioned? Or did you swap them out? My MGM SR5 has a set
Thought the trd came with led bed lights?
It did not. Maybe the pro. Or premium package.
Still an upgrade even on the pro. 🤷♀️
My '22 TRD off-road came with bed lights 🤷♂️ Got the blackout package with bed liner and mats but didn't see a mention of the bed lights...
Tasteful, common sense upgrades. Nicely done
Very nice! I have a deposit paid on this exact truck. How hard was the grill to change out? Cost?
Also, are you happy with the truck overall, thus far?
$150 on Amazon and less than 30 minutes. Super simple.
Love the truck so far. Only had it a couple weeks and haven’t gotten a chance to take it out for its primary purpose yet (family camping rig) but it’s driven great and is very comfortable around town.
Nice. I'm super pumped. I've always been a chevy guy. Looking forward to something different. Got any other mods planned?
Man I sold my 94 Chevy k2500 to help with the down payment on this.
Next big thing is a soft topper. Keep the rain and snow off our gear but lighter and less expensive than a hard top. Plus a few little accessories. Gashole, center console organizer, and windshield sun screen.
Gonna be dope! Keep us updated!
You can get a Hard top for about 400 on amazon. I have that one.
[A link to the one i bought on amazon](https://a.co/d/8ODwqod)
Link or description for the grill on Amazon? I’ve been looking at a bunch so why not add one more grille to go back and forth on
Which specific grill did you buy on Amazon?
Not OP but he lists the 5 additions above
Hey there, I JUST bought the Exact same truck last friday. I also got the bed lighting kit, and was thinking about getting the bed mat you have.
I installed LED headlights and fog lights, and hard bed cover. I plasti dipped my V6 and the door badges.
I want to get 5% tint all around, and some raptor lights.
I have heard that the trd pro grill has the TSS sensor in a lower position to account for the TRD lift kit, so unless you lifted it, the Tss sensor should be miscalibrated. Let me know if you see any differences.
Came here to ask about this. Got mine used and the previous owner added the same grill, and my TSS sensor freaks out about it every time I drive it. I like the appearance and don't want to replace the grill, but the 'hacks' I've seen so far online are either a/ unplug the thing and live with the alert light and risk insurance issues should a crash happen; b/ leave it plugged in and live with the alert light; c/ shim it and rig it so it can see forward but your alignment will be off but who cares; or d/ pay $700+ for a dealer to move and recalibrate it.
Not jazzed for any of those, really...
The trd 2 inch lift works too. Or idk
I'd assume the lift is more expensive than the dealer recalibration, albeit far more rewarding. I'm having to take baby steps on this thing, so the lift kit is inevitable but in the same way that the heat death of the universe is - likely far off.
Trd pro and Trd off road have the same lift I believe or at least very close. My sensor is still working fine. Used it for cruise control on the highway yesterday.
Came here to ask about the sensor - good to know! I also have a 22 MGM off road, haven't done a grill upgrade yet...
The dealership won’t sell you just the grill for the same reason. They sell it only with the extra lift kit. Apparently the trd pro is 1-2 inches taller
Nice mods on your Tacoma Off Road.
Pro grill on the stock truck for the extra 15 hp I see?
Yea don’t drive with your dog in the bed. It’s incredibly irresponsible
U put ur dog in the open back?? That’s horrible
Hot take bud
I can tell you the Fitcamx is such a clean install... I guess I'm not the most techy person because I see no benefit of GPS stamps...
Don't forget to get a cover for the front radar sensor as well right know is expose to weather and plus calibration.
Just installed the sensor garnish last night!
