Varsho and Belt gotta be excited! Lazy fly balls to right field got a real shot to be home runs. 359 feet, shit that's close. Bo and Kirk often hit the ball the opposite field in the air. Gonna be some high scoring games at Rogers center for both teams.
I especially love the bar that is located at the visitors bullpen. It’s going to make for some interesting heckling all season. Get into the pitchers heads before they even step into the field.
Cringy is fine, but just keep it PG. I don’t want to hear about any racism, homophobia, slurs, death threats, beer throwing, no making fun of personal mental health disorders, and definitely nothing about family members of the players. So basically don’t be a Yankees fan.
Love how the outfield features are now asymetric, with all that partying space out in right field. It's just overall a much more interesting space to be in now, and this is just the start so very encouraging. I've always loved the Dome but it totally just felt like sitting in a concrete bunker with a baseball diamond in it.
I'm 6' and with my arm straight up the tip of my glove is at 8'. Combine that with the fact that Jays fans are notorious for not being able to keep their hands off BIP... this is gonna be wild
Edit: Ahh, no fans there right? Just batter's eye?
Damn, my 15 foot height for walls was pretty accurate.
I'd also say CF going from 10 feet to 8 feet is a bigger change than Matheson is suggesting because of potential excitement... now we have KK and Varsho (and Georgie) there to rob guys of HRs
Gonna be a lot more home runs.... the 14 foot wall will knock down line drives, so probably more doubles. But the 16 feet difference is huge. 359 feet is not very far in right center. Lazy high fly balls caught near the warning track in the past are all dingers now. Fly ball pitchers will be shitting their pants in rogers center.
That's going to look and play quite different, with the shorter dimensions but higher wall (in most places).
The CF wall lowering from 10 to 8 ft is going to produce a lot of exciting home run-robbing catches.
One thing I noticed: Davidi and BNS both had the new CF being 397 ft, but this has it not changing from 400.
I could see these changes resulting in a lot more doubles and triples with crazy bounces off the higher walls, which baseball in general could certainly use.

Our team modelled these adjustments, and we anticipate they will create a similar neutral environment while providing a modernized experience for our fans.”
Berrios gave up 29 homers last year, I was hoping for a bounce back season, but shit he can't be too impressed with the new dimensions. The hitters I'm sure are pumped.
We’re officially a quirky ALE ball park!
no more compass drawn outfield

Big Citi Field vibes in that render. Big blue wall gang.
Ohh a render of the ballpark. I was hoping for a render from Ben’s devienart page

Put it in the ROM
Well time to replace ace it seems…
The new sub image
We could have had Kirby as the Blue Jays mascot in 2021 when we had both Snead and Yates.
We didn’t so much as have Yates, as we payed him to exist

Children, that's not very nice.
😢
When the Rays come to town I'm hoping people just line up over the bullpen with pride flags
That's an awesome idea.
I love a good heckler but it has to be done right. Knowing SOME of our fans, I think there's going to be some cringy situations
As long as its doesnt escalate to beer cans

Haha free drinks right!?

Interesting that the wall in center is only 8 feet, gonna be lots of chances to steal homers for CF's

I thought they specifically said there would be no gap in CF any more, suggesting there will be seats right at the wall?
Not in dead CF. Not in any park in MLB.
Right... can't believe I've been watching baseball for over a decade and only now realizing that lol
35 years...
True, except for dead CF where the wall dips down to 8'. From the renders that are available, it looks like there are no fans in that section at all.

So with right centre moving in 16 ft does the increase in wall height offset it adequately?

An extra foot of wall is worth about two feet of distance, so no.
Wow, it's going to be very different. A homeroom. Edit: *homerdome

Let's get weird!
Are the CF seats gone??
Always have been...
The batters eye was always empty but it looks like the sections beside it are gone too.

How many Vladdy HRs turn to singles/doubles with the taller wall
The walls are taller where the fence is closer so it should be about the same as now.
More than offset by Kirk fly-outs that turn into HRs.
Kiermaier going to go up and get a few.

Looking forward to another decade of 3 true outcomes ball, yay...
Has the wall down the LF line always been 14 feet? Or is that new, too?
New, I'm pretty sure the wall was just 10' everywhere.
Please home runs
They need some mousehole spots for homers along the bottom of the wall. Vladdy would rake!
