i never thought i'd see the day when I got warm fuzzy feelings due to Alador and Odalia...
To be fair, awkward hands-on nerd x career-oriented, professional witch?
Alador x Odalia sounds like OG Lumity
All this time we assumed Raeda was the Lumity of their generation, but it was actually Odalador.
Huh, I never thought of that but they do make a pretty good shadow counterpart don't they?
please... stop... this is hurting my soul...
Except they grow up to be abusive shits
How much you wanna bet we get an episode that shows us why Odalia did what she did, and it is honestly a good reason. Doesn't excuse what she did, but was still a good reason.
I'll give you ten thousand bucks if that actually turns out true.
Except amity is nice and Luz doesn’t look like Belos sucked the soul out of her body
Not yet she doesn’t
Alador is a working man with 3 kids and little sleep. I think it’s more life doing the soul sucking than anyone else. He seems to be the only person Odalia respects because she wants to respect him.
>ywn have a business savvy bulli gf
Origin stories are great, canon until proven otherwise.
All MoringMark comics are canon until proven otherwise and I am willing to fight people over this.
I agree 510 percent
The mantra of not only r/TheOwlHouse, but also r/gravityfalls and r/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil.
"Now tell me human. Where do you think you are?"
... maybe leave that one as 'extra canonical' or 'alternate universe' until proven otherwise, eh?
Canon in the sense that her mother has it as a nightmare?
There is some love in Odalia, just buried deep down.
Deep, deep, *deep* down.
So deep, it's near the planetary core.
It *is* the core
Only Alador can reach it, with the right equipment..
Well, hello there
And it move on to posessed a nerd that have been stabbed by salamander King.
Oops, wrong show
Yousa be needin' a Bongo ta get dere.
You forgot about 67 deeps mate
I had assumed 97 deeps, actually.
Like REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY DEEP
I think it's so deep that isnt actually in her
She took the love out and put it in her necklace like a horcrux
Season 2B features Amity and Luz going on a quest to find the horcrux and put the love back in Odalia.
She buried the love deep within
The deepest a being can ever get into
I honestly hope she gets a redemption arc. She has potential to be a good character
I kinda hope she doesn't. Redemption arcs are all well and good but sometimes you do need character's who exist just to be hated, and narcissist mothers are very fun to hate.
We have kikimora
Consider this, two characters that are made to be hated
I mean we have boscha also Bria. To a lesser extent King’s father (he’ll likely get redemption, we still haven’t seen much of him). Also belos but he gets a pass for being the primary antagonist
King's Father seems really nice so far, from what little we've seen of him.
That’s why I said to a lesser extent because we still don’t know much about him. All we know is he left his child for unknown reasons. Also why I said he’ll likely get redemption
Happy cake day!
Thank you very much. =\^.\^=
I actually like Kikimora. I'd rather keep hating Odalia.
Agreed. Like Pacifica's parents in Gravity Falls.
or Sniper's biological parents in tf2 comics,
they both left him and like 5 others to die, for literally no reason when everyone could've fit in the submarine.
oh also they killed the entire population of New Zealand, minus 3.
Exactly (and apply this to Boscha too)- esp when you take in the fact that she's literally an abusive mother- and I feel like it'd be a bit insensitive to redeem an abusive person, especially when there's so much room to get it wrong.
They're also pretty cliche tbh. I'm hoping for a more nuanced take. Like, Odalia realizes she's a shit parent, but by the end of the series, doesn't really understand what to do about it, and admits that fact. Amity and the twins understand that she *wants* to be better, but the series ends with them being in that awkward place where the problem has been identified, but they haven't yet done any significant healing and none of them are sure that they forgive her.
A bit of a loose thread, but relatively harmless one and the audience can draw their own conclusions, plus gives the lesson that you don't *have* to forgive family who hurts you if you're not sure about it.
Mabye Alador gets a redemption arc
> She has potential to be a good character
I've never understood when people say something like this or wasted potential. Every character has potential to be a good character or a bad character. It's just how they're written. Doing more with a character doesn't necessarily mean it will be good or not.
Highlight the shit out of that deep
Season 2B is talking too long so Mark is expanding the Owl House cinematic universe himself.
If 2B features content that contradicts MoringMark it will be non-canon.
I mean, how long do you except shows to get made?
As long as it takes I guess. I just think it's cool how fans are sort of expanding the lore themselves.
Odalia: "Congrats. You just got yourself a business partner."
Alador: "What I have...is an overcompensated apprentice."
*Takes a shot of apple blood*
[So who's the bartender?](https://youtu.be/GimrxP2U0ZE?t=177)
That's a good question
Ladies and Gents this is what you've been waiting for
Well, *now* I wanna see someone animating that whole sequence with Alador and Odalia, so thank you
You're welcome lol
Eda was the one who buy it. And she stole the money from Odalia to do so.
Eda is on the potion track, the one who bought it had red outfit
She disguised herself
Technically she can't, those outfits are magical. Only Bump can change them
What about paints
Okay still, why would she disguise herself? And other than that, Eda is 4 years older than Odalia and Alador.
Uh didn't willow change hers herself when she told Luz that bump was impressed and decided to switch her over?
Bump allowed her to change the outfit
Also also- that guy's skin colour was not accurate to Eda's. Her skin is way brighter
Funnily enough, it's not, her skin just got a lot lighter the more she aged for some reason, maybe the curse.
Compare the images of her younger self to her older self side by side to see the difference.
So why did Lilith also have bright skin?
A have no idea, maybe she just didn't got out that often or some other thing like that
I just checked young eda on google, her skin colour was almost identical to old eda's
Uh, sorry, maybe I confused because of the flashback effect
It can't be them, either. The skin color is way too light.
Raine bought it, knowing Eda would want one. And that she'd steal the money to pay them back later.
Read the other comment
Shit we really need a scene with Odalia and eda
I refuse to believe otherwise.

Thanks for always posting the source
Delightful couple, horrible parents.
*Perfectly balanced as all things should be.*
Horrible and neglectful parents if you ask me
You are correct
Can't wait to see more fan fics about the past!
This is what I'm looking for. As much as I hate Odalia's gut, I just wanna see her and Alador have some actual married kind of interaction.
***And thank Titan we have MoringMark, our Lord and Savior***
I've always wanted to see an origin story of the blight parents because tbh they're some of my favorite characters in toh
It's stuff like this that reminds that she's had 3 kids with the guy...
This is canon in my head
So wholesome, but damn, Alador is kinda hot though
First panel is Apple
I love how they’re talking about the sticky launcher and then there’s basically the Direct Hit in the background. Pretty cool to see TF2 easter eggs here!
Welcome back to another episode of “God this family needs some therapy”
All of us
Alador always has that face you cant quite describe even in their wedding photo
And that night they make the twins.
interesting take, but I can't imagine them getting three children as bussiness partners.
On the other hand, maybe it works a bit different in the Demon Realm...
It's not that strange, marriages where largely economic arrangements until pretty recently
Yeah, yeah, they like eachother and fuck this comic is actually cute... But that doesn't mean they aren't still abusive shits.(this is directed at myself, you can direct this at yourself if you want)
Yeah, I don't feel like this version of Alador would blackmail Amity into cutting off Willow.
idk, people can have sweet moments and still be elitist snobs
And then E&E happened.
I head canon that the twins were conceived within a week of this
Good comic and all but the concept of Odalia and Alador's relationship starting as business partners and then staying that way for the next like 10+ years is so wacky to me lmfao
I remember it like It was yesterday. I still have the slingshot.
DID SOMEBODY SAY STICKYBOMB LAUNCHERS?
Why do I find Odalia cute in page 6, panel 3. I can't think of any logical reason why I should, but yet..
Me cry now
Why do I get the feeling that those who simp for Odelia is going to go crazy over this.
Alador could've done better. #changemymind
He definately could have. Thing is, he didn't want better he wanted her.
This, this is beautiful
This is actually heartwarming. It made me smile.
I feel sad for Alador
Wonder who was the witch who bought it?
I hate how much I love these two. They’re horrible abusive parents (well, more just passively neglectful in Alador’s case, but still) and don’t deserve to be happily married.
*So why do I love seeing them be adorable with each other so much?!*
I love the idea that they were fake-married lol
When I read "Sticky Launcher" I immediately heard bagpipes...
don’t humanize the enemy you fools
If you are fighting people always acknowledge them as people, but don't let that stop you from doing what needs to be done.
This is canon. I refuse to believe otherwise. Odalia already on the lookout for making profits makes me think her parent(s) were business people as well. Cycle of abuse, perhaps? Amity's comment about always looking for opportunities proves that Odalia has tried to drill this into Amity as well, but fortunately, Amity has found like Luz that stands up in the face of abuse. I'm not saying Alador is a bad person, but he is more or less apathetic/ignorant to the way Odalia has manipulated Amity.
i am not crying you are
Welp, now I’m kinda sad. Time to go hide in a blanket cocoon until I am in-sad.
Awwwww so sweet
Wow. Odalia *does* have a heart!
A very tiny one but still a heart!
This would be cute, if it weren't for the fact that they're abusive parents and Odalia is an attempted child murderer
YEAH, sure, as if she even HAD actual feelings
She does have feelings, she’s just an asshole
So good, so plausible and so weirdly sweet.
Their terrible people, terrible parents and everything, but I honestly really like that they do genuinely love each other.
Okay, how many people are loving the image of Odalia being a greedy little gremlin? BECAUSE I LOVE GREMLIN ODALIA!!! SO MUCH!!!!!
Girlboss and malewife
Aldor is my favourite mystery character in a long time.
I still think he's masterminding something behind everyone's back.
GOD MY HEART Y U DO THIS WE MEANT TO NOT LIKE HER alador we love hes wholesome dad
Not the best parents. But probably not the worse
Heart warming still hate her but heart warming
Odalia, you get a pass. But, only for today...
I do hope Odalia gets some moments like this in season 2B. Not a full on redemption per se, but just something to show us she actually gives a damn about her family, at least a little.
Clearly false. Odalia is not capable of love
Ah yes, my favorite Trope: "Horrible people, wholesome couple".
So who payed for that slingshot?
I love them so muchhh 😩😩😩✨✨💜💚
This is great, and I can easily imagine it happening this way. Please someone do a fan comic anthology and include this in it.
Moringmark TOH comic number 188
he got business partner zoned
YEEEEEESSSS, VILLAIN CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!!! YEEEEEEESSSS!!!
I can see this being canon
