Kim’s face like “These mother fuckers craaazzyyyy.”

Imagine if thats how Kims mind actually talks like the average curly haired tiktok highschooler "Yoooo fr they really be built different, bruh lessgo USA aint got shit when they see this, we be flexin!"

[most of Kim's childhood was spent hidden from the public eye in Switzerland. He's a fan of former NBA player Dennis Rodman, married to one of North Korea's cheerleaders, and calls his relationship with US President Donald Trump "special."](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/kim-jong-un-life-and-family-north-korea-health-coronavirus-2020-5%3famp) I mean… maybe?

Imagine he has this one childhood friend from Switzerland that he still keeps in touch to, but the catch is that the friend has the most mundane life there is like a normal job a family and oh an asian dictator for a friend

Bedt friends.. Cashier in a gas station or something. Brags about it while drunk and nobody believes him

"Fine! I'll video call him! "

"Pfft I can't believe you have a friend willing to impersonate him for you" "you still don't believe me?" *pushes button and a missile flies over bar*

Seems like something that would happen to Kramer in Seinfeld

can confirm, Switzerland might do that to you if you‘re long enough here.

It should be " if you're here long enough"

nah, he had it right the first time ;)

It's kind of funny to think that I lived 6 years in the same country as North Korea's dictator, and just one canton away at that.

>[In Switzerland, canton is the name given to each of the 23 states comprising the Swiss Confederation.](https://www.britannica.com/topic/canton-European-government) TIL Switzerland is a confederacy.

The Swiss will rise again hell yeah bror

Well of course... Everyone has to have a slice of that pie. Switzerland don't make bank for no reason.

> I am writing this letter to you as we are nearing the first anniversary of our meeting in Singapore on June 12 -- the historic moment of great significance that captured the attention of the world and left an imprint still indelible in my memory -- as well as to congratulate you on your birthday, which is just days away. I take it as a great honor to be able to send such a letter to Your Excellency. > > I extend my sincere and warm regards to Your Excellency on the occasion of your birthday. My regards also to the First Lady and the rest of your family and all your people, and I wish everyone good health and happiness and hope that everyone's dream will become a beautiful reality. > Like the brief time we had together a year ago in Singapore, every minute we shared 103 days ago in Hanoi was also a moment of glory that remains a precious memory. Such a precious memory that I have in my unwavering respect for you will provide impetus for me to take my steps when we walk toward each other again someday in the future. > > > > I also believe that the deep and special friendship between us will work as a magical force that leads the progress of the DPRK-US relations, clearing all the hurdles we face in the process of bringing about the developments we seek to achieve. > > > > Your Excellency Mr. President, I still respect and lay my hopes on the will and determination that you showed in our first meeting to resolve the issue of our unique style that nobody had ever tried, and to write a new history. Today's reality is that without a new approach and the courage it takes, the prospects for resolution of the issue will only be bleak. > > > I believe the one day will come sooner or later when we sit down together to make great things happen, with the will to give another chance to our mutual trust. Such a day should come again. It may well be recorded as yet another fantastic moment in history. > I assure Your Excellency that my respect for you will never change. > > > Happy birthday once again, Your Excellency. I hope Your Excellency will always be in good health and achieve success in your work. I extend my best wishes on behalf of my family to the First Lady and the rest of your family. > > > Sincerely yours, > > Kim Jong Un

I never knew it was possible to receive a happy ending via letter. My first thought is satire, but nothing makes sense anymore so it’s probably real.

Dang, he was counting the seconds and the days he was with Trump…

He can drop all the tiktok *spill the t*, *people love my drip*, *sus it out* slang he wants but the minute he says "ion" instead of "I don't" we're letting fly with the nukes.

I mean I wouldn’t be surprised that the Glorious Leader would be such a trend setter and create the slangs used.

*cries in Mohammad Bin Salman*

As much as we want it to be true, Randall Park’s rendition of Kim in The Interview is not based on a true story

Is it though?

“This pleases me”

There's times when he looks like Horatio Sans trying not to break character

He's like "bet this will be on reddit later" he def has one of the 1024 ip addresses they own for the prons

Also "they strong, what if they turn against me"

This was beyond hilarious to watch Your entire country is starving minus these few steroid idiots and you put it on display What a pathetic joke

To add to this: South Korea and the States have sent food aid to the country several times because it’s citizens were literally starving to death. Kimmy boy redirected all the food to his military.

To be fair, the United States has used charity groups and aid groups historically to sneak weapons and anti government policies into countries in the past. North Korea is the most paranoid country on the planet, they probably did a quick Google search and said no

As one does.

I can't deny that it's a smart play to keep your military fed and happy. You *kind of* need those guys in your pocket if you want to be a successful supreme leader.

Good point and very true

>Your entire country is starving minus these few steroid idiots and you put it on display I'm not sure famine is as much of a big deal these days. I just recently had to read interviews with dozens of more recent defectors and they dont mention food scarcity all that much anymore (compared to defectors from the 90s and 2000s). The famines happened after the food shipments from the Soviet Union stopped in the 90s but the situation has apparently been improving. Most of the complaints from the defectors had to do with the lack of civil liberties, the obvious corruption of the elite, and the repressive policing of even minor offenses.

Yep. Also, the rise of Chinese economy definitely helped. Compared to 90s, 2020s is easy mode for North Korea in terms of famine.

The best part is that its all parlor tricks and theatrics. Dude cracked some sugar glass and thought he was macho when he laid on it. I feel like Kim's reaction was literally "WTF, I know this shit is as staged as an AEW match, why is this impressing people?!"

It's a performance, not a military demonstration.

If North Korea was just a dictatorship and not a communist state, they would have already fallen, without support from Russia and China Kimmy boi has nothing.

He was raised and studied in Switzerland. I'm sure he realizes the absurdity of these situations but puts up an act for the rest.

[I should learn kung fu.](https://i.imgur.com/qEr3x2Y.png)

[I must see if I, too, possess this power](https://youtu.be/Y5Peo3Nt4eM)

"These mother fuckers are even crazier than me."

kimmy yelling "hulkamania's running wild on you!"

Lol yep

It’s like a Britains Got Talent audition.

except there is only one judge

Judge, jury and mainly executioner

He’s not Judge Judy and executioner!

I fuckin love that movie.

Simon Cowell would be a great dictator.

What kinda roids you think they get up there

>What kinda roids you think they get up there The very best drugs their government could get their hands on.

One of North Korea's main exports are actually illegal drugs. They cook meth etc. And ship it out through China iirc.

Drugs, and weapons.

And counterfeit bills so good they just go into circulation.

It's okay, at least they know if they ever get invaded while lying on a bed of nails or glass, they'll be able to take a hit from the enemy sledge as long as they have a giant block on concrete on their chest Am I the only one who wasn't really impressed by any of this so much as just... Disturbed and kinda sad? It looks like a twisted masochists idea of an impressive display of strength and I think we all know that at best refusing to participate ends up with you and your family being knocked down into absolute poverty as if I remember correctly in NK being in the military is one of the few ways to actually live a somewhat okay lifestyle in that country This stuff just looks like borderline coerced self inflicted pain for the entertainment of a psychopathic dictator

Their fake bills are so good, they're actually *too* good. They fix a few minor errors that happened to sneak past whoever does the examination of the master printing plates. For example, the minute hand on the clock tower on independence hall, on the back of the $100 bill, extends slightly past the border of the clock face. The fakes don't.

Those men aren't roided. That's standard martial arts demos combined with some carnie shit like glasswalking/nailbeds. Chinese shaolin practitioners do identical stunts without a needle. [Here's a man](https://cdn.images.express.co.uk/img/dynamic/4/590x/secondary/Eddie-Hall-World-Strongest-Man-1398136.jpg?r=1533204745683) on a large steroid cycle next to average person. Im sure they have bodybuilder squads for "look how big they are on camera". In fact IIRC, for the border guard, only people above certain height are chosen.

Don’t waste your time talking about fitness, bodybuilding or steroids to the average redditor

Yeah I always forget that 6x World's Strongest Man competitor genetic-anomaly Eddie Hall is a good example of the average steroid user.

Meth, mostly meth

North Korea has really shitty building materials.

North Korea has poop thieves. The government made a mandate that every person has to deliver 100 pounds of poo a year, which is basically impossible. So those too poor to bribe their quota away, steal their neighbours or even family members poo. Before dogs were banned families would fight over their poo. Anything not to be sent to the labour camps.

100 pounds of double AA batteries could start a medium sized car about 8.4 times.

When the Soviet Union fell they and China stopped supplying very cheap subsidized oil. Millions of North Koreans starved to death in the 90s. As the fuel was used to power virtually all manufacturing, including the production of fertilizers. So poo was a cheap, and terrible, replacement for the failing crop yields.

How the fuck hasn't that country collapsed yet lmao. There's gotta be smart people making sure things are running right? Engineers, mathematicians, etc. I wonder what their day to day thought process is.

>How the fuck hasn't that country collapsed yet Think of the country like a strategy game, and international aid as a cheat code.

It's like risk.

one word, China.

For fertilizer, but I thought human feces made horrible fertilizer?

It does. The human digestive system is actually one of our finest traits as animals. The fact that we can eat such a wide variety of things and extract so much out of it is remarkable, though necessary when you consider the caloric requirements of having a huge brain. There are methods to transform human waste into fertilizer, known as biosolids, but it's a pretty complex process and you have to break it down a lot. It's most certainly possible at an industrial scale, but if you just shit in your garden, you'll poison your plants and kill them. Even just making regular compost is actually kind of tricky. It's not as simple as just dumping lawn clippings and food scraps into a plastic barrel and waiting until it becomes a festering rot-pit in the corner of your yard, as so many people try to do stateside. There's a decent amount of chemistry going on.

If these people eat like very basic unprocessed foods like simple grains or fruits would they make better fertilizer or is it all bad just different on how bad it is

It doesn't really matter what you eat, the effect is that your raw sewage is never safe for fertilizer on plants untreated. Hell, this is true even for fresh chicken guano. You need to go through the process to begin breaking it down before it's safe to throw onto your crops. It's probably like, a little better if you have a healthy diet, but bear in mind that the production of biosolids starts after your sewage has gone through a sewage treatment plant, so lots of different processes and bugs used to eat certain compounds, settlement, all of that good stuff. And bear in mind that just gives you the raw biosolid waste and that's just the starting point before it's categorized and processed further out of the wastewater treatment plant.

Probably even more horrible if it's from malnourished people.

Actually it's probably mostly just water. If there's no matter going in, then there isn't going to be much matter coming out. Though if you're starving, you're probably not going to be having a lot of bowel movements to begin with.

…Source? …?!?!

Are they on METH

Finest and Purest Los Pollos Hermanos METH!

that's what I was thinking.

As every good soldier should be.

Found this right below a comment on how north korea is actually a big exporter in meth

1 in 2 is! https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1345333/north-korea-crystal-meth-kim-jong-un-drug-epidemic-north-korea-drugs-trafficking-spt

I think they sell all the meth they make to the "west".

Actually, yes, they are. Look into it.

They are trying very hard to make it seem like they have a serious military.

Too bad all their faux enemies have ranged weapons.

-fury of fists. . . . . -shot in face....how did that work for ya

Did they even see Indiana Jones?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say, "No."

Hell, even Harrison ford with a hat, a whip and a revolver would trump this one.

not if he has to fly there

Or if they have snakes there.

If we go to war with these dues it's going to be like big trouble in little china where the dudes does all that crazy Kung Fu and jack dolton just shoots him without even thinking about it.

I don’t remember Big Trouble too well but now I’m wondering who did it first: them or Indiana Jones?

Raiders came out before big trouble in little china so I think it gets to claim that one.

Brought a broken brick to a gun fight.

This makes it seem more a joke. I mean they are in great shape and tough, but using limbs as a bar and hitting it with a sledge hammer to break bricks is just ridiculous

I mean think of how idiotic that would work in a western country. "Sir, we were rehearsing for a display promo and 2 GI's broke small bones in their wrists due to sledgehammer blows, they can never hold a weapon again. The payout for disability is X0,000$ a year in therapy, benefits, not including re-training for non physical career" "damn, I really wanted to impress supreme leader" This shit only works in a slave state where the individual is discarded as soon as they're useless to the state.

Don't assume the VA would cover it lol

"Pre-existing injury"

Well, thank god a socialist paradise like NK does not have to deal with degenerate capitalist ideas like disability payments (or food). /s

Better train hard for when your enemies put stone tablets on you and break them with hammers

The Great 2 x 4 wars of 2032 are gonna be wild

This battle sponsored by Home Depot

The loss of life in the next total war will be unfathomable.

1000 years ago, it would be considered scary

this reminds me of the Indiana jones sword scene, at the end of the day a gun is deadlier than a dense skull

We demand to be take seriously.

They're gonna totally kick ass if they go against the brick, chain & rod armies.

This is borderline some children's karate class expo

such an interesting country. i hope they get freedom someday.

America also had no Seoul and it shows.

Lol good one 😂

With their entire population being brainwashed into wanting to destroy the United States, I don't ever foresee a peaceful ending.

You know North Korea invaded the South, right?

You’re getting downvoted but 100% right

Isn't nationalism fantastic?

yeah poor north koreans brainwashed into nationalism

Idiots, I can't imagine being brainwashed into nationalism. That shit doesn't happen in the **GREATEST FUCKING COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, THE FUCKING YOU-NITED FUCKIN' STATES OF FUCKIN' AMERICA!** All other countries can suck my red white and blue balls, cause they're all shitholes compared to us!

I get annoyed by these types of comments. North Korea is a small and isolated nation who is largely cut off from the global market because of the USA The USA says if North Korea disarms then they'll remove the sanctions North Korea says if the US lowers their sanctions they'll demilitarize Can you not see the insanity of the USA? They have historically overthrown as many possible socialist and communist governments that have existed and destroyed Korea, and now are demanding a similarly small socialist nation disarm themselves in order to gain access to the global market. Besides what news about North Korea is blatant propaganda, real criticisms of the North Korean government can largely be tied into its inability to access global resources and are instead limited to a forced autarky. It's just not fair.

They look like a bunch of clowns doing known fake feats of strength. Those brittle bricks made of chinesium that can snap with a flick of a finger. A thin chain with a weakened link. etc

Bro they're getting their bare fists smashed by a sledgehammer. I don't care how brittle the bricks are.

The first rule of someone showing you something they want you to be impressed by is assuming they're faking it and trying to figure out how. Fake hammer. Fragile tiles.

A lot of those bricks clearly didn't break the first time after taking full force elbows. I find it more likely that North Korea trains these guys to death for the showcase with no regard for their health rather than it all being staged.

So this is where all the food goes!

Exactly what I was thinking

Old lame "martial arts" tricks, not even the dictator buys it.

Right? His face was like "meh" sometime. Even he knows this will do nothing to stop a bullet.

Curious which are tricks (and what they are because I don't know any). Some seem real and also possible with good training.

basically it looks entirely choreographed, like a fight scene from a movie edit: not the stone-hitting though, that looks legit

Dude loves movies though so seems like whoever choreographed it knew his audience!

‘Brick no hit back’

An old co-worker who competed on an Olympic level once told me they soak the bricks in water overnight so they're easier to break.

i mean, which military display wouldn't be choreographed? You expect them to just beat the shit out of each other until the dear leader gets bored?

Make bricks with aggregate and a poor binder will get you slabs that you can break apart with your fingers. There's no trick here other than subverting expectations. People see bricks and think strong but there's a myriad of ways to make a slab like the ones the guy runs through that have zero structural integrity.

Laying on the nails while the brick is broke on your chest is a prime example. Anyone can do it, the number of nails distribute your body weight, as opposed to one nail that would pierce you. Then the rock is taking the force of the hammer blow, the person under takes very little. That's a simple physics trick we did in high school physics class. The "combat" part was very obviously choreographed. There is some skill and strength training to some of the other tricks, but its nothing super human by any means.

Thanks, great answer! I Also vaguely glass can be made of sugarwater or so?

I do know glass can be made of sugar water. There's also safety type classes that when break aren't necessary as sharp, the glass in the video didn't look like that type of glass though. I'm certain there is a trick there, just don't know the specifics.

We do all of these in sideshow acts. It's real glass but it doesn't matter if you spread your weight out on it. It's pretty funny watching this because almost all of these are sideshow stunts and gaffs. They basically turned their military into a 10in1.

Likely real glass. Sideshow way to do this is 1) shuffle the prebroken glass about in a bucket or bag to file off the razor edges and 2) don't slide on the glass. Direct pressure is way safer.

Weak materials are chosen. That wood is light color, leading me to believe it's cheap pine, there's no way in fuck they would stop a hickory/oak/toolhandle wood to the face. It would cave a skull. Boards can be precut and arranged at a weak point. When I did TKD, boards for kids were precut with an XACTO knife so you were punching equivalent of 1/4" of soft pine with the grain. As hard as breaking a pencil. Same with boards, bricks, tiles, etc. Nails/glass are spread out over a large surface area, and don't penetrate your skin. It's completely different from stepping on one nail. Ol' Bruce Lee also had a good saying: Boards don't hit back.

Yup. When I was 10 I was breaking 2-inch thick pine without a problem. It was hilarious when my sensei decided to bust out a cedar board and try to have people break it.

All the brick punching is really nothing. The gloves their wearing are most likely very rigid/strong to allow them to not hurt themselves when they're doing that shit. That and combat boots. And getting whacked with big sticks? So what? lol look at the boards, they're long and awkward so they'll break when they connect with the guy. This is all just a stupid display. Might as well have 'eye of the tiger' blaring in the background while we all watch local highschoolers put on this display at the local strip mall. Props for being able to commit to diving sideways while kicking rocks, but again... so what?

The blocks also have the "tear a phonebook in half" trick to them, where you bend the pages to tear one page at a time instead of the whole thing. They're not breaking a thick brick, they are breaking thinner bricks with spaces in-between. Cinder bricks are also fairly fragile because of how porous they are, too.

The Power Team! Those phone books never stood a chance.

With the power of God and Cocaine on their side

Amazing how none of that matters when you’re standing at the business end of a stealth bomber’s payload.

Exactly, you wont even hear it coming. Quite scary.

Or, you know... a gun

If that's your fullest potential ... u weird.

Tapeworms make you do silly things.

I would hate to be the brick army they face off against

Ooh, propaganda! Fun!

Haha it’s all just one guy! He is their military

wow, they are great dancers.

That are the side effects of the other vaccine.

The amount of internal bleeding in this video is high key out of this world

This pro-North Korea headline…

Well now they will be ready if any bricks or sticks invade them.

Like the far side comic where the alien invaders made of bricks and wood land in front of the karate dojo

That’s so great.

Would that mean that WWIV will be won by NK?

it's just machismo bullshit guy. Cool jumpy flip kicks mean shit all in a real war. these wouldn't even be primary targets they would just be a drone strike on the way to a real target.

This is why they applause so much; https://www.disappearingman.com/communism/men-wouldnt-stop-clapping/

Exactly. Seems like odd behavior, unless you've ever lived under a Communist regime, then you completely understand it. It's laughable how the word "courage" gets thrown around nowadays. But the people who stood up to Communism in the 20th century had legitimate courage.

>It's laughable how the word "courage" gets thrown around nowadays. It's almost like stuff is relative.

Good read but I wonder if that actually happened or how embellished it is.

Impressive. Truly. Now, I'm gonna stand here and fire this 5.56 NATO round out of this M4, and you go ahead and try to bat it out of the air or some shit. Any serious offensive against NK would be wrapped up by lunch, which we would then feed to them, cause they're fucking starving.

I'm pretty sure even with their outdated artillery (which they've been mass producing for decades) they could level huge swabs of urbanized Korea within moments of the beginning of conflict, which is why "wrapped up by lunch" is kind of impossible. There is no question of an NK loss, the question was always the conventional weapons which are constantly primed and aimed to fire. The weapons pointed between Seoul and Pyongyang alone only need to fire one volley to do extreme damage. They don't even need to be nuclear. Rubble and tens of thousands of smoldering bodies don't get cleaned up by lunch. But yeah bro you and your m4 got this one Go figure, the weirdos over at RAND wrote a book about it: https://www.rand.org/pubs/research_reports/RRA619-1.html "North Korea maintains nearly 6,000 artillery systems within range of major South Korean population centers, which it could use to kill many thousands in just an hour, even without resorting to chemical or nuclear weapons. Researchers assessed the magnitude of this threat across five attack scenarios, using estimates of the number of North Korean artillery systems, the population densities of potential target areas, and assumptions about the locations of people at the time of the attacks (outdoors, indoors, and below ground). The strike scenarios assessed were (1) five minutes against a major industrial target, (2) one minute along the DMZ, (3) one minute against downtown Seoul, (4) one hour along the DMZ, and (5) one hour against downtown Seoul. Estimated total casualties from the attacks ranged from about 4,500 to more than 200,000. The authors conclude that because so much harm could be done so quickly, the United States and South Korea should try to avoid military provocation cycles that could lead to these attacks. This document presents a series of visualizations that helps bring into sharp relief the danger posed by this threat, providing a useful tool for defense leaders, policymakers, and the public in understanding this important aspect of the complex situation on the Korean peninsula."

Pew pew ? ![gif](giphy|164G4BQmtJ2GXRbml3)

North Koreans: Love watching full sprint head butts into concrete slabs. Hate watching cute South Korean K-pop stars dance and sing.

the duality of man

In all fairness I’d rather run head first through concrete before listening to kpoop

That's what it feels like sometimes

I’d rather run head first through a K pop star

I just rewatched this but imagined all the dudes saying "FUCK BRICKS" or "FUCK WOOD" or whatever they were smashing at the time and I gotta say 10/10 much more palatable propaganda vid Edit: "FUCK THIS METAL POOOOOLE!"

Propaganda, obvious propaganda at that

Think I seen this same group at church one time

Useless as this all would be in a modern conflict, I gotta say it's super dope

So you're tellin' me that if you were an armed soldier and an enemy troop broke concrete with his elbow, you wouldn't drop your gun and run away immediately? 🧢

I mean, I'd drop my gun and applaud, lol

Whats funny is that you actually think that is solid concrete they are breaking with their heads and elbows. Notice how it breaks into almost powder and doesnt have solid parts but rather breaks to almost nothing. Its all part of their brain washing system to keep their hungry people believe that they are all mighty.

I like strippers and stage magicians and professional wrestlers, and I'm not under any delusions that what they do is at all real either. Performance art is awesome.

I have to agree on that...

That's what I call Domestic Terrorism! LmaooxD

What is this boomer ass title

do you not know what /s means

Hahahaha this means literally nothing in an actual war

Bet he can't stop a bullet
