Damn I used to live there, right down the road from Orchard. I did have some unusual sushi in Singapore, including matcha chocolate “sushi” at a place in Ion
"Thread cut" 糸造り is one of the traditional sashimi cuts, and squid noodles イカそうめん are a well-known Hokkaido specialty, so this really isn't *that* weird.
That truly is an abomination. It looks like intestines. I honestly thought part of the appeal of sushi was that it was a small bite. The thought of people slurping this cold fish flesh makes me want to jump off a bridge. I hate this so much
Next: eat fish straight out of the aquarium. No washing no descaling, straight up live and bite that shit.
God people are disgusting. (I also like sashimi and sushi but not like this)
that salmon is probably farmed, and there’s plenty of it to go around. starving families aren’t starving due to food scarcity, there’s plenty of food, it’s the distribution that’s fucked up. a person eating less wouldn’t make a difference
also very likely that she’s just posing for a picture and didn’t actually consume that entire plate alone
The part of me that loves sushi hates this idea.
The part of me that is on a diet thinks this could very much stretch out the amount of sushi flavor I get per calorie is intrigued.
I've had salmon sashimi that was cut too thick. It was gross after a few pieces since salmon is fatty and oily. With these noodles, I'd imagine it would be similar to taking a huge bit out of a salmon which is disgusting.
Sashimi needs to be cut to bite size for balance. I can't imagine anyone slurping this since it would just be too much fish.
I love bluefin tuna and chu toro but would never want to eat a huge portion of it at one time.
yo i live there, would you guys be interested if i tried it out?
Do it please, I'm super intrigued
Do it for science and document for us lesser beings

This place is at Ion too haha, maybe the place is cursed with weird food
Go for it, dude, tbh it's probably pretty good.
Yep reviews have been positive, since a lot of people want me to try it out I'll grab a friend and make a post about it when I do!
Make a post about it, pls!
So how was it?
Please send some to Ny
Probably costs like $150...
It costs $35 SGD! After 10% GST and 7% service charge that'll be $41 tho
If it’s THAT much sushi, that’s cheaper than I thought.
Yes please
Do it
How was it dude?

yea if the salmon in the photo was cut A LOT skinnier like how they do it with squid i would for sure eat this with a side of sushi rice
IM GOING TO SINGAPORE THIS LOOKS FUCKING DELICIOUS and also probably very expensive

Ngl, I would smash the fuck out of this. A nice side of sushi rice and we are *talking*
I love how divisive this is. r/SushiAbomination is a house torn asunder!
I can’t imagine people actually slurp them right
Looks pretty delicious to me.
So, how much by weight is that? And how much would you pay for it?
Holy shit I've never wanted anything more in my life right now
I love sashimi. I love salmon sashimi. That picture made me gag.
Hard gag
_confused gag_
I never knew I needed this lol
“Run Run” sushi huh? fitting
How is this different than a massive piece of sashimi?
The part of me that loves sushi hates this idea. The part of me that is on a diet thinks this could very much stretch out the amount of sushi flavor I get per calorie is intrigued.
I mean its just a gigantic piece of sashimi, you cant really go wrong there. A bit impractical though. Think id rather get a variety still
i'd eat it
By the end of eating the noodle, the raw salmon will be festeringly warm.
what the fuck
Oh dear god, why. Kill it. Put it out of it's misery.
This looks like something to choke on.

this is a dream for me this looks delicious
Well just figured out that this is the best idea yet knife skills are a must
Sashimi is not sushi.
Not sushi in anyway.
So we're not at all concerned about sustainability anymore huh?
