I would do dark things to see that video if it was just an hour of alternately vomiting and trying to continue the show with a progressively weaker and more shaky voice
Ok this is going to be really strange but I’ve had these before, and as much as you’d think they’d be horrible they’re actually not bad! When cooked the gummy bears melt into the meat so you get this sweet taste along side the meat and it comes out really good.
Crucify me if you wish but I’d buy these if I ever saw them again
Dunno, you could go as far as just using sugar. But if I had to guess probably novelty. Like sure ‘sweet bratwurst’ is one thing but the colors and name of ‘gummy bear bratwurst’ catches the eye
(Fellow Minnesotan) hell yeah it is! We once had "apple pie brats" that had chunks of apple in them and when cooked, there was an apple-y, buttery sweetness that flavored the casing. I wish I could remember what meat market they came from.. but they were sooooo fucking good!
Where abouts did you get them? I get mine from Hugo's in northern MN (Park Rapids area) Maybe Coborns/Cash Wise? Sounds like somthing we used to have maybe. Corborns has baller brats
I love Park Rapids! I'm pretty sure we got them from Von Hansen's in White Bear Lake. I remember them having the Gummi brats too (we got both). It was hard choosing the favorite, but the apple pie brats were spectacular!
I love PR too honestly. For the most part. Lived here most of my life. Now I'm more towards Detroit Lake. It's a very pretty little town compared to the surrounding towns. I'll check it out next time in in the cities :D Thanks you friend ^^
Blueberry Wild rice brats are also (I think) pretty popular in southern Minnesota. Schmidt's Meat Market in Nicollet has them. And also had these gummi bear brats. As was said above, not as bad as I thought they would be.
Not particularly. They are very good and meat with wild rice has alwsy bene a Minnesotan staple. Adding Blueberries isn't all that far different. It's very good. Like maple sausage but with more.... Hmm.. Acidity? Not as sickeningly sweet as maple can be
If I had to guess, the person who invented Gummi Bear Bratwurst is not even cultured or travelled enough to know of dates, or anything outside the "food for kids" aisle.
They don't seem to be arguing that it isn't stupid food, only that it isn't totally inedible. Without the gummy bears, it wouldn't be stupid.
Dates in sausage does sound kinda good, too.
I got these brats with cherry halves in them once a few summers ago and they were the best brats I've ever had. I've been hunting for them ever since and have been unable to find them.
The store that sells these are sort of famous for them. It started out as a joke, but people really liked them, so they just stuck with the popular novelty.
Grundhofers in Hugo, MN has them and all the artisanal sausages you could think of and they're all similar in price.
http://www.grundhofersmeatmarket.com/brats/
There is a meat market in Hugo MN that claim to be the home of the gummy bear brat and they have [over 100 unusual brat flavors](http://www.grundhofersmeatmarket.com/brats/). No idea where you're from but you can definitely buy them there.
I was honestly thinking these would be tasty having had deep fried gummy bear. It turns to a sort of poptart flavor, and melted into a gooey tasty thing.
And sweet things, especially fruit flavors, go well with brats.
I've had them, too! There's a small meat store in Orland, IN that I go to near our lake cottage called "Mr. Bratz". They do all kinds of wild stuff like this, and most isnt half bad! The gummy brats were the biggest hit when I took them to the sand bar to cook them.
This is exactly what I assumed they'd be like and I'm kind of considering making some myself to try since I've never seen such a thing available in stores.
I could get into that ... especially if its garnished with a hot spicy mustard or some salty sauerkraut or spicy kimchi for crunch. The sweet taste mixed with meat and heat from the mustard with all the garlic and spices from the sausage would be a win!
Yeah I was not going to be surprised if these turned out alright. My butcher does like a holiday sausage with cranberries and it's pretty solid. Not something I'd eat outside of Christmas or Thanksgiving though.
I was thinking the same thing. The sugar sort of carmelizes the meat and it's actually really good. And you definitely dont notice any fruity flavor or nothing it's just a little sweet. I got some of these a while back from our local butcher shop who's known for having great meat and was not disappointed
Thank you! I thought the same thing when I tried them. There's delicious little pockets of sweetness that blend with the meat so well. I'd eat these again, for sure!
Honestly, it’s not much different than putting grape jelly and bbq sauce over lol smokies. Like it’s really damn close to the same thing as grape jelly.
They're actually delicious. The gummies melt completely and add a unique flavor. There's a place here in Minnesota called Grundhofers that's sells them, among a ton of other different types of brats.
These are waaaaaaaaaaay better than you cam imagine! I'm not serving this as the only thing for dinner. But melty gummy bear inside of a brat is amazing!
These are quite common. One of the local grocery chains here sells them in their deli/meat department with all of their other brats. The wife and I tried them once out of curiosity a few years ago. Didn’t care much for them, but I know people who do.
I used to work in a butcher shop, and my boss wanted to try making these. I advised against it, but he did it anyway. We made one batch, nobody bought them, and he never made them again
Sugar burns are the worst burns and I read a disturbing Cracked article about a couple who tried to incorporate melted Gummi bears into their sexy time. It did NOT end well. You would have to wait for it cool completely or else risk painful injuries.
I see Ordinary Sausage opened up a shop.
Will it blow?
I'd give these gummy bear sausages 2 Mark Ruffalos
*Youtube comment suggestions* Been suggesting surströmming sausage for what feels like years now
I would do dark things to see that video if it was just an hour of alternately vomiting and trying to continue the show with a progressively weaker and more shaky voice
You joke but 8/10 times I can rate the “Will It Blow” correctly. Kinda scary actually
Lmao same here. I can also accurately predict the final rating by his reactions/descriptions.
Hey there folks and welcome back.... I guess
WE GOT A BURST!
HERE WE GO!
That's the gummy bear water.
BUT FIRST!
Man I haven’t watched that channel in forever lol
Hey they folks.. Welcome back.. I guess.
3, 2, 1, let’s sausaaaage!
3, 2, 1, #𝕃𝔢𝐭’ş ˢάⓤ𝐒𝔞𝐆ᗴ!

That's the absolute würst

But why not use dates or any other sweet fruits in the mix for the sweet taste? Why use straight up refined sugar and food colouring?
Dunno, you could go as far as just using sugar. But if I had to guess probably novelty. Like sure ‘sweet bratwurst’ is one thing but the colors and name of ‘gummy bear bratwurst’ catches the eye
Blueberry and wild rice bratwurst is super popular in Northern Minnesota and can confirm, it is Hella a good
(Fellow Minnesotan) hell yeah it is! We once had "apple pie brats" that had chunks of apple in them and when cooked, there was an apple-y, buttery sweetness that flavored the casing. I wish I could remember what meat market they came from.. but they were sooooo fucking good!

Of course, friend! ☺️
Holy shit I just creamed my pants thinking about those apple pie brats.
They really were divine 👌 such a crazy flavor combo but it worked so well!
Blueberry Wild rice brats are also (I think) pretty popular in southern Minnesota. Schmidt's Meat Market in Nicollet has them. And also had these gummi bear brats. As was said above, not as bad as I thought they would be.
Now that is a strange one for sure.

I seldom eat sausages of any kind.
It's for kids
I always liked my uncle's homemade polish kielbasa the most as a kid
Does that mean what I think it means?
If I had to guess, the person who invented Gummi Bear Bratwurst is not even cultured or travelled enough to know of dates, or anything outside the "food for kids" aisle.
Yikes! Save some pretense for the rest of us!
r/IAmVeryCultured
What the fuck why is that sub banned
seems like the kind of concept that would take a hard right and get Hitlery without proper moderation
Oh wow. You are so cultured you know about dates ..
They don't seem to be arguing that it isn't stupid food, only that it isn't totally inedible. Without the gummy bears, it wouldn't be stupid. Dates in sausage does sound kinda good, too.
Because Haribo gummy bears are a pillar of German culture!
Not the sugar-free variety, I hope.
I got these brats with cherry halves in them once a few summers ago and they were the best brats I've ever had. I've been hunting for them ever since and have been unable to find them.
The store that sells these are sort of famous for them. It started out as a joke, but people really liked them, so they just stuck with the popular novelty.
It's a bit of fun. Especially for kids.
If you sub dried apricots or cranberries for the bears, you could totally sell that as an artisanal sausage at twice the price.
Grundhofers in Hugo, MN has them and all the artisanal sausages you could think of and they're all similar in price. http://www.grundhofersmeatmarket.com/brats/
I was wondering if I’d see Grundy’s mentioned. This place is amazing
Hell, I know I'd buy them.
I think I’d prefer something that actually melts and blends with the texture of the rest of the sausage.
Morbid curiosity
Because you would only sell 1/10th as many since there's no novelty at all.
No kidding, microbreweries are all about it too. I’ve seen too many companies posting about dumping candy in the mash, it blows my mind.
Because those things aren’t gummy bears.
A local place uses crystallized honey and hot peppers in a sausage and it’s amazing.
Just add cloves and it’s a Tudor recipe.
>Crucify me if you wish Expect me later today.
I see variations of this posted enough that it would seem it may not actually be terrible.

My aunt and uncle brought a bunch up to the lake from there for Memorial Day this year. They weren't bad but I personally wasn't a fan.
I immediately thought of this place
My friend on xbox said similar. I give him shit about it but im curious.
Hm, I can kinda see that. I’d honestly be curious enough to try them.
I was honestly thinking these would be tasty having had deep fried gummy bear. It turns to a sort of poptart flavor, and melted into a gooey tasty thing. And sweet things, especially fruit flavors, go well with brats.
Sweet with meat is a food crime.
I've had them, too! There's a small meat store in Orland, IN that I go to near our lake cottage called "Mr. Bratz". They do all kinds of wild stuff like this, and most isnt half bad! The gummy brats were the biggest hit when I took them to the sand bar to cook them.

i simulated the taste in my brain and i think it wont be too bad but its still weird asf
I've had these two but they grind the gummies into the sausage. It's fucking good.
There's a butcher shop in Wisconsin that started this I believe! Not bad at all!
Thank you! I thought the same thing when I tried them. There's delicious little pockets of sweetness that blend with the meat so well. I'd eat these again, for sure!
That's what I was thinking, 100% would try
Honestly, it’s not much different than putting grape jelly and bbq sauce over lol smokies. Like it’s really damn close to the same thing as grape jelly.
Let's saaaausaggggggee!
just wait till y’all find out about ordinary sausage on youtube
Let's sausaaaaage!
Oh my god, amazing. Water sausage is iconic.
What the actual fuck
They're actually delicious. The gummies melt completely and add a unique flavor. There's a place here in Minnesota called Grundhofers that's sells them, among a ton of other different types of brats.
I think more people have heard of Grundhofers than have heard of Hugo 😂 I was hoping to find this exact comment!
https://youtu.be/87qSlGk7GUc
Yup! That's the place.
I need to go pickup some egg roll brats today… and whatever else I feel like blowing my money on, as is tradition while there.
"And don't forget the gUmMiE bEaR!"
I've also picked these up in MN. Ye olde butcher shop in rochester had them when I was in there once. They where fantastic
These are waaaaaaaaaaay better than you cam imagine! I'm not serving this as the only thing for dinner. But melty gummy bear inside of a brat is amazing!
salty AND sweet!
These are quite common. One of the local grocery chains here sells them in their deli/meat department with all of their other brats. The wife and I tried them once out of curiosity a few years ago. Didn’t care much for them, but I know people who do.
Smart. By weight, the overhead on a gummy bear is practically nothing.
Fine. I'll try one. But i'm pissed about it.
I try to avoid sausages with chewy gelatinous lumps in them. This is gross!
Goes great with Skittlebraü.
That’s the wurst
We stray further away from the gods
PEOPLE WHY?!
I tried looking at the sausages closely but my eyes kept averting. What little I saw will haunt me. Those poor gummies and pig deserved better.
I want to eat this so badly…
Why is that guy's hand so huge though?
Who do you think jerks off all these sausages?
I believe this is considered a war crime in Germany.
At first I thought the Germans had gone too far, then I saw the 'lb' and realised OF COURSE this is from America.
500 pounds!
WW3 called and would like a word
Wait I’ve seen these before. I always wondered what they taste like.
No
I used to love sausage. Mainly because I didn’t want to know.
I want to burn it
Hey there folks… I guess.
Is still try them!
r/noahgettheboat
Because I like my sweets encased in the sub mucousa of pig intestines
Do they want to start a war with Germany? Because that’s how you start a war with Germany!
One of the shops here in town sells these as a special. They’re actually pretty damn good
What about abscess sausage?
As a German that likes sausage this is absuletly ... Acceptable. They are actually surprisingly good.
Disgusting
Bitte nicht.
I used to work in a butcher shop, and my boss wanted to try making these. I advised against it, but he did it anyway. We made one batch, nobody bought them, and he never made them again
don't knock it until you try it
What l blasphemy
Do you wanna fight? Cause this is how you start a fight
Woah 500 lbs is a heavy sausage
They absolutely did not taste test these
i feel so disgusted even after a second of looking at this image.
"I made it with my grossly oversized hand!"
🤢🤮
But they're actually fucking delicious
About a year ago my local meat market had brats with gummy peach rings in them. I did not try them because it sounded disgusting
Sweet and meat does work it has potential
I have had these. They are stupid. They were so gross we all took a bit and threw the rest away.
Looks like something I’d see on good mythical morning!
where did you find that. I went to a similar place and got the same thing
That’s not even creative
I’d have to kill a man that day
This is an insult to both the animal and the gummi factory workers.
I hope whoever made this gets a psychological disorder which makes them taste poop regardless of what they eat.
Sugar burns are the worst burns and I read a disturbing Cracked article about a couple who tried to incorporate melted Gummi bears into their sexy time. It did NOT end well. You would have to wait for it cool completely or else risk painful injuries.
Lol yeah that’s some stupid food
How is this legal!!!
