Sja-Anat probably wouldnt be strong enough to "corrupt" a spren like the nightwatcher. The Nightwatcher probably as strong as she is. Furthermore, she wouldnt let herself ever be corrupted, since she is loyal to cultivation, her mother. And since Sja-Anat never corrupts higher spren against their will, there is that. Sja-Anat wasnt able to corrupt higher spren before, it probably is possible now, because Ba-Ado-Mishram was imprisoned, which damaged Roshar as a whole. One plotpoint of book 5 will probably be the release of Ba-Ado-Mishram, which might prevent Sja-Anat to corrupt higher Spren again, because the entire planet is restored to the previous state. But hey, just assumptions. Anyway, there might be corrupted spren of each order, but i doubt that it will be common. No Bondsmith spren though, that is certain

That's why I said I didn't like the idea of corrupting the Nightwatcher >Sja-Anat wasnt able to corrupt higher spren before, Are you sure? That's the whole reason the Radiants feared her I thought. She just hadn't done it yet. >One plotpoint of book 5 will probably be the release of Ba-Ado-Mishram I agree >which might prevent Sja-Anat to corrupt higher Spren again I think she probably still could, assuming your previous point is correct. It might be harder though. >because the entire planet is restored to the previous state. Honor is also dead. The planet won't be fully restored. >No Bondsmith spren though, that is certain Which is why I think the Unmade might be able to bond now. Particularly Sja-Anat. Edit: the people downvoting are voidbringers.

"Are you sure? That's the whole reason the Radiants feared her I thought. She just hadn't done it yet." That's for sure. Sja-anat mentioned about it in RoW and Brandon confirmed that Renarin is the first Radiant who bonded with an enlightened spren. I think if Sja could have done this before, Renarin wouldn't be the first.

LewsTherinTelescope

Did she say she *couldn't* or just *didn't*? I don't recall. > I think if Sja could have done this before, Renarin wouldn't be the first. Would any of the spren have consented when Honor was around? I don't think he would've taken kindly to a spren colluding with "the enemy" in such a drastic way.

It’s mentioned in oathbringer that Gliss is strange because she wasn’t able to corrupt higher spren before, and that it was a recent discovery

DeepPurpleDevil

Maybe it was because there wasn't willing spren before or the process was yet to be discovered, much has changed since then.

ashamen

I feel sja anat will be a void bondsmith spren along with BAM. New orders will be created with enlightened spren. Just my wild theory

Guac_on_mars

Do we know what Sja-Anat's ultimate goals even are? Why did she choose to turn on Rayse and help the radiants? Why help Taravagian become Odium?

lovegermanshepards

It seemed to me like Sja-Anat has similar motivations to Ba-Ado Mishram, where they want to play a bigger role in the world and not just listen to what Odium says to do.

Guac_on_mars

But how does helping Taravagian odium help them? It just doesn't seem like they have an end goal Maybe Sja-Anat and Cultivation are working together? Sja-Anat is corrupting spren which is basically evolving them which seems right up cultivations alley. Of coarse, this answers none of my questions bc then the question becomes "what is Cultivations plan?"

lovegermanshepards

I like your notion that sja-anat is cultivating spren to change. It’s not clear to me if they are working together or if Sja just happens to have a mother instinct and wants to grow her family

Mickeymackey

I don't think Sja-Anat has an ultimate goal I think they are their own goal, they are Enlightenment, they embody it. I think they are slowly progressing.

Guac_on_mars

Is Sja activly working against odium. She even said so in one of the interludes in RoW

Sja-Anat would make a great replacement for the Stormfather. Just sayin’
