https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Rex
Hands down my favorite character in any Star Wars Universe. Rex went from just a Clone to being one of the most important characters in the Star Wars Saga. He fought alongside General Skywalker, Commander Tano, along with being introduced in Rebels. He was a leader, friend, loyal and overall a great character. Rex was able to adapt and overcome many tough obstacles. My favorite series arc has to be the Battle of Umbara.
Darth Nihilus.
He gets hyped throughout the entire game, he **eats** ***planets*** with the force and is more a force of nature than man. He never talks and rides on a ghost ship with presumably zombies or ghost as his crew. When he dies nothing remains except his mask, AND HE LOOKS FUCKING COOL.
Trash boss fight, but top tier character design.
>rides on a ghost ship with presumably zombies or ghost as his crew.
I would have loved if the Sith Troopers in TROS were like this. Undead/Pod People storm troopers, just fully removed of the human element.
Honestly, I thought that made him scarier. The other Sith lords were villains, with rational goals, but Nihilus was a monster. Nothing could dissuade him from his insatiable need to consume worlds, because there was no human left to persuade. The person he had been was gone. Only hunger remained.
I kinda thought he was out of place in Star Wars lore, almost like a Sauron-type figure, evil and power-hungry without any real backstory or motivation.
For such a main character we have a huge lack of content from Vader’s perspective other than comics. We need more content of his life from his perspective instead of from the “good guys” perspective where he’s just the bad guy lol
This is why I LOVE Star Wars Clone Wars. I posted about this a while back..
There are years and years of stories featuring Jedi Master Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars canon where Anakin is still our hero!
Vader is downright terrifying since he did what the sith of old always planned to do wipe out the jedi order while he was weakened due to his injuries on mustafar the fact that the ancient sith couldnt accomplish what he did is impressive
True but there we're also more sith at the time Vader was one of 2 sith and he was the only one directly fighting jedi and they were no slouches and after order 66 I doubt any jedi would hesitate at the chance to kill Vader or Palpatine if the opportunity presented itself
It’s really cool having watched Rebels after listening to the Thrawn audiobook because I had the context of who Governor Pryce is and on Thrawn himself. Wish there was more Eli Vanto in Rebels but I didn’t finish all the books so idk if he’s still alive lol. No spoilers please!!!
Just reread all 6 & I’m just always impressed with Timothy Zahn. I truly hope Disney sees his value as character with & does him correctly.
I would love to see more wild space stuff. Chiss family infighting, grysks infiltrating whole societies, limited hyperspace travel & Thrawn & his protégés as militaristic sherlock holmes & watson.
The books do add nice context to Rebels.
Alliances and Treason add a bit less context to Rebels, but are a very cool connective tissue for Rebels and Rogue One.
Came here to write this. In D&D stats, he’d have 20 in intelligence and 19 in wisdom, but 6 in charisma. He’s not very good at the imperial politics, but an absolutely brilliant tactician, easily one of the best who ever lived
Not just imperial politics, but also Chiss politics. If you read thrawn Ascendancy trilogy(highly recommend) he's even paired with Thrass by the Chiss patriarch because Thrawn is so bad at them but Thrass thrives.
They go more into it in the prequel trilogy as well. He's straight up unable to understand the nuances of political scheming. That being said, compared to the Imperial era, he's worse in his youth and you see a clear improvement by the time he's serving the Emperor.
This is my biggest worry about Star Wars right now. It would be so easy for them to write him like BBC Sherlock or something, and that's just not Thrawn. They really should just bring in Timothy Zahn as a consultant and follow his every word where it comes to Thrawn's actions and character.
The study of art is an art in itself, and since Thrawn partakes in the art of studying art, and you wish to understand him, then you must study his art of studying art.
But then me studying him studying art is an art in itself, and therefore I am giving him clues towards understanding me!
Jokes aside, I think a multicultural crew of aliens on a ship will be really hard for Thrawn to go against, especially if the opposing commander knows of Thrawn and intentionally shuffles his captain, xo, gunnery sergeants, etc so that Thrawn cannot anticipate how they will react.
Luke and Ashoka are my favourites but I'll toss another name forward since she's not been shared yet; Jaina Solo. Wields a purple lightsaber and was named Sword of the Jedi by Luke Skywalker himself. Before the old EU books were tossed out the window by Disney, the last two book series covered her and it was amazing to read
His [Bryar pistol](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/a/a2/K-16_Bryar_pistol.png/revision/latest?cb=20160915003601) is my favorite non-lightsaber weapon in Star Wars. I heard that in Jedi Survivor, Cal Kestis has a blaster. I hope we can get the Bryar pistol so I can relive the glory days of Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast.
This is the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon series which was released in 2003 in between episodes II and III. It was called a micro series and initially released in 5 minute episodes until later they started releasing longer episodes. I think the full show is about 2.5 hours long and most of it should be on YouTube.
Here's Part 1: https://youtu.be/g6-yclEOgR4
[Star Wars: Clone Wars](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Clone_Wars_(2003_TV_series)), an animated miniseries that aired on Cartoon Network in 2003 as short (like 5-10-minute) episodes, and was directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack). Not to be confused with Star Wars: *The* Clone Wars, the 3D animated series more frequently referenced, which is often colloquially referred to simply as "Clone Wars".
They didn't do him dirty.
Every iteration of Grevious that we've seen is a highly skilled assassin and High General of the Droid army who can't wield the Force, so it makes since that the High General would run away when faced with over wehlming odds and no chance of winning, especially when the enemies can capture him using the Force (look at what Obi-wan does in RotS.)
The early 2000’s CW had him as basically a slasher movie antagonist hunting down the chancellor and fighting multiple Jedi. That’s how I see grievous, nothing less.
2003 Clone Wars had him as a terrifying Jedi killing demon who was able to push through the force, move faster than the force, and nearly kill two Jedi masters. But the 2008 Clone Wars had him be beaten by an army of Jar Jars.
he's a character from the expanded universe pre disney era. You can wiki him to get the full story, theres even a short movie from a game about him. In the original now noncanon story, he is the one who steals the plans of the death star and gives them to the rebellion. I think Andor's character was developed to replace him.
The funny thing is that his sidekick and lover is called Jan Ors... and the new canon person who steals the Death Star plans instead of Kyle is Jyn Erso.
[Hey, can I copy your homework?](https://i.redd.it/oqu038mjz1x21.png)
Only reason there even are any skywalkers. Never wiped, and can literally play back the most important parts of recent history in 3d. Just never asked.
Yea not sure why this isn't higher. He's the only (mortal) person in the history of the galaxy with complete mastery over both the light and dark side of the force at the same time. Revan is a boss.
Ventress.
She has such a compelling story. She was super cool in the Tartakovsky, cartoon. That duel against Anakin was incredible. The books Dark Disciple by Christie Golden, and Dooku Jedi Lost by Cavan Scott flesh her character out really well. After those stories seeing her in Clone Wars is just so 🤌
It's hard to commit to saying she is my favorite because I love so many characters but she is top tier.
I know she was created to be disliked at first and all that and I get why people found her obnoxious when she was first introduced but I fell in love with her character immediately. I was 11 years old when the movie and the first season of TCW came out so I could really relate to her and I got to grow up alongside her so for that reason she’s very special to me. I admire the creators for making her feel so real in the sense that she acts exactly like a teenager would act if put in her situation and somehow, to me, the whole franchise becomes more approachable through her if that makes sense.
She’s absolutely my favorite!
Darth Tyranus, love the use of form 2 and the curved hilt
Edit: Also how he uses the Dark Side but doesn’t let it control him, he is calm and collected and uses it for politics rather than ability
Cad Bane. Always has a plan, fearless, methodic, never looses (well... except that one last time, of course).
Close second:
Chirrut Îmwe, the only true Quixotic Jedi in the movies. And also Donnie Yen
God I fucking love Cad. His live action debut gave me chills. Just the way he does his evil looking smirk while saying "you never should have given up your armor"
I love that we get a type of character that isn't overdone. We have seen so many good to evil characters throughout every series, but especially SW (since Vader is essentially the main character), but we rarely get a well done evil to good character.
It’s the costume unlocked upon completing the Dark Side ending in the Force Unleashed. The armor is said to have been grafted to the bones - a detail which, in ‘08, I apparently found alarming enough to have retained
Kylo Ren is mine. As someone that has struggled with belonging, alcohol addiction, self-identity, and family dissociation I can relate to him on so many levels.
I know people like to write him off as “oh he’s so whiny and emo” so what? First off, he’s not whiny. We must not have the same definition of “whiny”. He’s got lots of depth and I think the angst makes him entertaining and relatable for me to watch. Prince Zuko is the same way for me.
Side note: I listen to Metalcore, punk, and Deathcore myself, I’m angsty, and I love horror. What’s wrong with that?
I’d also just like to mention that Adam Driver is one of the best actors in the entire saga and you can really feel his emotions through the stellar acting.
Yeah Kylo is legit my fave character in the series too. I'm glad they made the sequels just because it meant Adam Driver could bring him into existence.
Wedge Antilles.
He saved Luke's life and survived an attack by Vader in episode 4. Took down an ATAT after Luke got his gunner killed in. Episode 5. Rose in ranks to become Red Leader and took down the second death star in episode 6. All without laser swords or super human powers.
Revan one of the best representations of a powerful evil leader I've seen during the part of starwars i was alive to enjoy
I imagine older starwars fans would say thrawn instead
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Rex Hands down my favorite character in any Star Wars Universe. Rex went from just a Clone to being one of the most important characters in the Star Wars Saga. He never talks and rides on a ghost ship with presumably zombies or ghost as his crew. When he dies nothing remains except his mask, AND HE LOOKS FUCKING COOL. Trash boss fight, but top tier character design.
I thought that he was supposed to be the main antagonist at first… well i was wrong. But awesome game. One of my favorites star wars games of all time
Which game are you referring to?
Dude absolutely play the kotor games or watch some kind of story run through
Star Wars kotor 2
Yeah, the idea you have to fight him with some base Force abilities and a fuckin lightsaber is laughable at best lol
Coolest character with worst boss fight
I legit thought he'd revive or something at the end. It took a second to realize that was actually it.
>rides on a ghost ship with presumably zombies or ghost as his crew. I would have loved if the Sith Troopers in TROS were like this. Undead/Pod People storm troopers, just fully removed of the human element.
He’s not really a character. He’s a non person with no motive
Honestly, I thought that made him scarier. The other Sith lords were villains, with rational goals, but Nihilus was a monster. Nothing could dissuade him from his insatiable need to consume worlds, because there was no human left to persuade. The person he had been was gone. Only hunger remained.
I mean the name is Darth "Nihilus", what'd you expect? Or would you prefer a preteen fallen padawan whining about their depression...
He wasn’t so scary once you realized you could spam Force Crush
I kinda thought he was out of place in Star Wars lore, almost like a Sauron-type figure, evil and power-hungry without any real backstory or motivation.
Darth Vader!
This should be higher up, he literally is Star Wars
He’s the main character
For such a main character we have a huge lack of content from Vader’s perspective other than comics. We need more content of his life from his perspective instead of from the “good guys” perspective where he’s just the bad guy lol
This is why I LOVE Star Wars Clone Wars. I posted about this a while back.. There are years and years of stories featuring Jedi Master Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars canon where Anakin is still our hero!
Yes and now we need a “clone wars” show like Vader
I was talking to my dad about this like a 4th prequel but a show Edit: not an animated one
There’s that one novel that came out circa 2005. Written in first person from Anakin’s childhood through episode 4 I think
The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader?
I agree but Disney will probably fuck it up
As George Lucas said, "Star wars is about the tragedy of Darth Vader"
Vader is downright terrifying since he did what the sith of old always planned to do wipe out the jedi order while he was weakened due to his injuries on mustafar the fact that the ancient sith couldnt accomplish what he did is impressive
Most impressive
Werent the ancient Jedi also alot more brutal and would not have hesitated if they had a darth sidious at the end of their saber
True but there we're also more sith at the time Vader was one of 2 sith and he was the only one directly fighting jedi and they were no slouches and after order 66 I doubt any jedi would hesitate at the chance to kill Vader or Palpatine if the opportunity presented itself
He's my father.
Damn im scared of your father
I was once a Jedi knight, the same as your father
Mine left for smokes and never came back...
I mean so did Vader if 'smokes' was his burning body on the hot beach of Mustafar...
No one else in any comparable epic pulls off two top five characters in one person.
Thrawn, but specifically from the books
Honestly even in Rebels he’s pretty darn cool
It’s really cool having watched Rebels after listening to the Thrawn audiobook because I had the context of who Governor Pryce is and on Thrawn himself. Wish there was more Eli Vanto in Rebels but I didn’t finish all the books so idk if he’s still alive lol. No spoilers please!!!
Finish the damn books! All 6 canon ones are great
Just reread all 6 & I’m just always impressed with Timothy Zahn.
Yeah. In the books he doesn't have a gothic horror worthy theme song.
Thrawn’s theme in Rebels is one of the most underrated pieces of Star Wars music ever.

Perhaps
Perhaps not
I really hope they do him justice in Ahsoka...
This is my biggest worry about Star Wars right now. It would be so easy for them to write him like BBC Sherlock or something, and that's just not Thrawn. They really should just bring in Timothy Zahn as a consultant and follow his every word where it comes to Thrawn's actions and character.
I have to say that, for me, Marc Thompson *is* the voice of Thrawn. He kills it
Seconded!
But to truly understand Thrawn, you must study his art.
Wait…. Does that mean you must study his studying of the study of art?
The study of art is an art in itself, and since Thrawn partakes in the art of studying art, and you wish to understand him, then you must study his art of studying art.
But then me studying him studying art is an art in itself, and therefore I am giving him clues towards understanding me! Jokes aside, I think a multicultural crew of aliens on a ship will be really hard for Thrawn to go against, especially if the opposing commander knows of Thrawn and intentionally shuffles his captain, xo, gunnery sergeants, etc so that Thrawn cannot anticipate how they will react.
My brain hurts now, are we doing a "Who's on first" routine?
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Exactly, gotta go with Kenobi. That guy’s a myth
Darth Revan or Master Plo Koon. Can't decide tbh Darth Talon is....extremely ahem
That’s the spicy dominatrix Twi’ilek, right?
Yes, one of George Lucas' cultured creations
Kyle Katarn. He was such an interesting character and an absolute badass but in an old school way. I loved his story.
General Grievous. I don't care how TCW did him dirty, he will always be the badass 4-armed asthmatic jedi-killing cyborg in my eyes.
You want the real General Grievous? *This* is the real General Grievous: https://youtu.be/WIj7gIDFDe4
Shocking how in that battle K'Kruhk survives that fight.
What show is this from?
This is the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon series which was released in 2003 in between episodes II and III. That’s a scary Grevious
They didn't do him dirty. Every iteration of Grevious that we've seen is a highly skilled assassin and High General of the Droid army who can't wield the Force, so it makes since that the High General would run away when faced with over wehlming odds and no chance of winning, especially when the enemies can capture him using the Force (look at what Obi-wan does in RotS.)

he was the general of the droid armies , a brilliant tactician and a jedi killer more than competent. I think he has done his job
Darth Maul was my Favorite! It was love at first sight
Absolute god tier character design, imo.
“No way is that Darth Maul??” - Zanny
I wish we got more of him in the prequels
Statement: HK-47 is the best Star Wars character of all time. Accept no cheap durasteel substitutes.
Reply: Agreed, meatbag.
Kyle Katarn. No need to elaborate.
He's at the top of a very short list of characters I'd like to see re-canonized.
Who is he again? Not trying to be rude, just ignorant
he's a character from the expanded universe pre disney era. You can wiki him to get the full story, theres even a short movie from a game about him. mando
Oh god, not even sure who this guy is. Mine's Ahsoka.
That guy’s Lord Starkiller from the dark side ending of The Force Unleashed where Starkiller kills Vader and then takes Vader’s place.
Oh, OK! Not familiar with TFU.
Boba Fett
R2-D2
Only reason there even are any skywalkers. Never wiped, and can literally play back the most important parts of recent history in 3d. Just never asked.
Gotta go with Kanan Jarrus, Jedi Knight
*Caleb Dume*
I love the way Bendu says his name
I had to scroll waaaay too far to find Kanan.
Kanan is an amazing character man
Gigachad right here
Darth Revan
Yea not sure why this isn't higher. He's the only (mortal) person in the history of the galaxy with complete mastery over both the light and dark side of the force at the same time. Revan is a boss.
Everything after Kotor reduced Revan
Favorite EU character hands-down but with an even more disappointing fate than focusing to death.
Count Dooku. Just literally how he carries himself especially when using the Dark Side, his fighting style. Also his lightsaber is one my fav designs
Ventress. She has such a compelling story. She was super cool in the Tartakovsky, cartoon. That duel against Anakin was incredible. The books Dark Disciple by Christie Golden, and Dooku Jedi Lost by Cavan Scott flesh her character out really well. After those stories seeing her in Clone Wars is just so 🤌 It's hard to commit to saying she is my favorite because I love so many characters but she is top tier.
Also her and Obiwans flirty banter is hilarious.
Ahsoka!!
At the beginning of Clone Wars, Ahsoka was the reason not to watch. At the end, she became the reason to watch.
Han Solo. Not a force user, but makes just as big of an impact on the story as any Jedi. Plus he has the coolest ship in the galaxy.
[Gotta go with ma boy Annie](https://comicnewbies.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/anakin-skywalker-vs-darth-vader-1.png)
Annie? Little Annie?
Luke
Never, i’ll never turn to the dark side. You’ve failed your highness, I am a Jedi, like my father before me.
…..buuuuut, my nephew IS acting a little weird soooooo…..OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!!
He went against his whole philosophy and chose the dark side ending 💀
I was screaming at my TV watching the mandalorian finale. Screaming.
Darth Tyranus, love the use of form 2 and the curved hilt Edit: Also how he uses the Dark Side but doesn’t let it control him, he is calm and collected and uses it for politics rather than ability
That’s Count Dooku right?
Yee
Darth Maul
Plo Koon. Put lives before glory.
Han Solo is the best.
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu
Chewie ❤
Mara Jade
Great answer. She really came into her own and had a great character development arc.
Cad Bane. Always has a plan, fearless, methodic, never looses (well... except that one last time, of course). Close second: Chirrut Îmwe, the only true Quixotic Jedi in the movies. And also Donnie Yen
God I fucking love Cad. His live action debut gave me chills. Just the way he does his evil looking smirk while saying "you never should have given up your armor"
My master Yoda is little padawan
Dash fucking Rendar
For me it‘s Starkiller
I love that we get a type of character that isn't overdone. We have seen so many good to evil characters throughout every series, but especially SW (since Vader is essentially the main character), but we rarely get a well done evil to good character.
I admit my ignorance. Who is this character you posted? The artwork looks great.
this is Starkiller from the Star wars Force Unleashed games. Specifically from Force Unleashed 1 because of the outfit.
Ohh okok. The Darkside ending... Seemed familiar but i couldnt pinpoint it. Thanks for your reply.
Is the image itself from a tie in comic or something?
I think that's fan art.
It’s the costume unlocked upon completing the Dark Side ending in the Force Unleashed. The armor is said to have been grafted to the bones - a detail which, in ‘08, I apparently found alarming enough to have retained
[удалено]
Qui gon. Fiercely independent and learned how to force ghost.
Obiwan Kenobi and for a slightly deeper dive, Corran Horn
The greatest villain of all time, aka Darth Vader
Darth Vitiate
Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader
Luke Skywalker. May be basic but he is Star Wars to me.
Wedge!
Great answer. Along the same lines, Tycho, Wes, and Hobbie. Starfighters of Adumar is *the* X-Wing book for me.
Who's that?
Galen Marek / Starkiller.
Yeah Kylo is legit my fave character in the series too. I'm glad they made the sequels just because it meant Adam Driver could bring him into existence.
Kreia / Darth Traia is probably the character (outside of the og trilogy) that caused me a lasting impression.
Anakin and Obi Wan from the prequels. And I know not one character but I love the majority of clone troopers too. Rex Fives, Gregor to name a few.
Revan will always be my favorite
Star killer
I have no idea who is in that picture.
It was Boba Fett when I was younger. Probably Mace Windu now.
Y’all need Yoda.
Chopper!
Revan,Vader/Anakin,Luke,Obi-Wan,Ahsoka Probably my top 5 in order
Lumpy obv
Jango Fett, but Fordo is a close second.
Jango 100% ! I was really hoping we'd see him in The Book of Boba Fett...
Oh like in a flashback? The kamino flashback was dope.
Arcann/Thexan, Starkiller, Anakin
Wade
Sev/ darman/ some ewok/some java/ rex
Probably Rahm Kota.
Revan and it isn't close.
Darth revan and Treya
Kit fisto is Cool
Revan.
Galen Marek/Starkiller
1- Obi Wan 2- Darth Vader 3- Starkiller 4- Yoda 5- Fives
Ahsoka and Hera.
Wedge Antilles. He saved Luke's life and survived an attack by Vader in episode 4. Took down an ATAT after Luke got his gunner killed in. Episode 5. Rose in ranks to become Red Leader and took down the second death star in episode 6. All without laser swords or super human powers.
CT-5555
The clone of the guy who's look you can use for that character, Boba Fett.
Ahsoka.
Ahsoka Tano.
Ahsoka Tano
Ahsoka.
Darth Bane The story of the rule of two is my favorite book trilogy of all time!
Rey, I really think they had the potential to be something great in the trilogies
Anakin skywalker
My character from KOTOR 2 because im the coolest person ever! :)
My character from Old Republic as I’m wise and respectable like Plo Koon, but look like myself
Obi-Wan. Need I say more?
Obi Wan Kenobi
Either Lando or Obi-Wan.
Vader, Vader,& Vader!!!!!!!!!
Darth Vader
Bane, a badass and extremely manipulative. A great Sith character.
Revan one of the best representations of a powerful evil leader I've seen during the part of starwars i was alive to enjoy I imagine older starwars fans would say thrawn instead
Vader, General Grievous, Thrawn, and Darth Maul
Wat Tambor
