I'm still not over the fact that Tony is hiring a mark with no actual experience whatsoever in the wrestling business to help him with talent and creative.
I don't think I'd piss away my money like that even if my dad was twice as rich as Shad Khan.
I see a lot of people complaining that the commentary team don't pull up Roman on his cheating, and while they do have a point I think honestly if you look at the UFC it's rarely if ever brought up by their commentators when an ATG fighter has been caught cheating. Guarantee during Jon Jones' last fight there wasn't a single mention of the word steroid, it isn't completely unrealistic.
I really need Sheamus, Edge, Mysterio or Styles to be the winner of the tournament.
Seth and Theory still have plenty of time left for world title runs, and Lashley had two pretty recently.
It might be an uphill battle, but if any of those 4(Sheamus, edge, Mysterio and Styles) win, I’ll be hype as hell.
Trish coming back and not losing a step in-ring or on the mic is absolutely insane. She could get a title run out of her comeback tour and I honestly think it'd go over well
I'm fine with MJF Barely defending his title cause he feels like the driving force of his storylines every week but Jamie is just so backgrounded for the past month or so and it makes me sad. I just wanna see her wrestle and have the focus of the division on her
I'm overall very happy with how AEW has been going the last 1 1/2 months.
That being said, I do think the Outcasts angle has been completely botched. The match in Pittsburgh felt like it should have been a PPV blowoff match or something.
I'm an older fan who basically checked out of watching pro wrestling after the WCW invasion angle was a dud and then didn't get into it again until AEW started.
I say this because I have struggled to understand the appeal of women's wrestling since a lot of the best stuff happened while I wasn't paying attention. Prior to AEW my only exposure to women's wrestling was as a sideshow/tittilation factor.
Jamie Hayter was one of the first people who made me get it. Her, Kris, Willow - these are women who I can believe in the ring because they have the build to make me believe that if they hit me I'd crumple like a stuffed animal.
I'm really bummed because I thought the ex-WWE'ers angle had HUGE potential, but it's been relegated to a minor storyline between two small stables. I thought it had the potential to be the sort of storyline that could grow until it encompassed the entire women's division.
Imagine a scenario where Jade and Britt are on the same side because they're sick of the ex-WWE entitlement....
And somehow, no matter how unfathomable it is, the bungling of this angle hasn't been limited solely to failing to deliver on its potential for the people involved, it's also made the women's championship seem like an afterthought...
I'm pinning my hopes on this new creative guy they've added, because Jamie Hayter is one of the coolest fucking people on the AEW roster and her build and moveset makes me suspend disbelief easily.
I really hope they salvage this angle, because the wasted potential is _painful_.
I may-or-may-not have been under the influence this weekend when I decided with my wife to splurge on a pair of best-seats-I've-ever-had tickets to Forbidden Door in Toronto for June.
I am not always huge on AEW, but I figure whoever they bring in for the show, it is likely my only chance to see NJPW guys locally for the foreseeable future. I won't lie...I am kind of pumped.
All my wife wanted to know is if there will be men flying around the ring, and I assured her that there will be. We've been to a few events together (Raw/Smackdown, NXT once, and RoH back in the day. This will be her first PPV, which I am excited for as they're always more impactful/end-to-end action.
I'm also intrigued to attend a live AEW event. As I said, I am not a 100% ride-or-die AEW fanatic, but wrestling is always amazing live, so I have no doubt that we will have a blast.
Fingers crossed that we start getting some matches announced soon.
We kind of also sent out a mass text to both of our families, and have invited 12+ people over to the house for a BBQ the night before the event.
This is going to be a busy weekend, and I think I might need to book Monday off to recuperate.
I was blasted on Tito's Vodka when I bought the first pair of tickets to a wrestling show I ever bought in my life.
This was the Cedar Park (Austin) show prior to the Wardlow vs Cody cage match in Atlanta.
I got a forearm bump from Big Swole, a hand slap from Jungle Boy, MJF swatted his gum at me, and I got these Young Buck dollar bills.
Sometimes the best decisions in life come from the bottom of a bottle of liquor....

I figured it out. The clues are all there.
Darby's going to main event the show at Wembley Stadium.
I mean, it's right there in the show title. AEW AllIn.
It's right there, folks. I mean ...
The storyline I look forward to every week the most is OCs hand injury. That is his orange punch hand!!!! Lol I feel like a child saying it out loud but I care so much.
I switched shifts at work 2 months ago, and one of my co-leads is also a wrestling fan. Talking to him about it is so interesting because he kind of kayfabes? Last night he said "Man if I was Cody I'd be so pissed that Brock keeps fucking with my matches". He calls Austin Theory a smug dickhead exactly in the way someone watching it like any other fictional drama would.
There's nothing wrong with it, but my brain always short-circuits a little because I never really meet other fans in the wild so I'm only used to talking about it the way we do, with the fourth wall shattered.
I absolutely love the Judgment Day, but even I felt a bit of fatigue when they had 5/8 of the matches and two back stage segments last night. I'm glad all of them have a singles push, but I'm worried they might get over exposed and kill some of their charm.
this may sound like a stupid question, its my first time going to double or nothing and the ticket says 4pm. nut but thats the pre show right? the main card starts at 5?
Hardcore Holly’s book is really great. I’ll quote a bit on the Jarrett/Lawler incarnation of WCCW:
>Nobody was making money. The most I ever made working for Jeff’s useless fucking Pappy was $189 for two weeks’ work. $189 for 12 shows. That’s about 15 bucks a match. You couldn’t even eat and get to the shows on that. Everyone piled four or more into a car to travel. I took showers at the buildings, ate nothing but crackers and Vienna sausage, because I couldn’t afford any other food, and slept in my car in rest areas. It was terrible. Meanwhile, Jarrett and Lawler were putting all the money in their own pockets.
>The only wrestler they paid well was Jeff. He was driving around in a nice vehicle and making a ton of money. What could any of us say to him? His dad was the promoter! Jeff was a real dickhead back then. Still is, as far as I’m concerned. He reminds me a lot of Triple H — and that’s not a good thing. Jeff will stab you in the back because he’s not man enough to stab you in the front. When you talk to him face to face, he’s charming and he’ll suck you in, make you feel you can trust him, but as soon as you’re gone he’ll bury you, and you’ll never know it. He’s the furthest thing from a man.
It’s got this simple but effective style that I love. Reminds me a lot of Bret and Dynamite’s books - both of which i also love. I recommend it.
Just rewatched the InDex love story compilation on YouTube and I gotta say: Austin Theory was the most enjoyable as part of The Way. His selfie gimmick was lame and his current gimmick is generic. He might actually be better off as The Way version of himself.
I could see Theory becoming a top face as Himbo Theory. That version of him is so endearing, it’s a shame they haven’t used it on the main roster. I could see that gimmick getting over on MR
It’s funny because during an MMM travel stream yesterday, they talked about Theory on the Euro tour. From the way they described him, it sounds like he acts exactly like his Way persona in real life.
It really tells me why I just never got behind this guy on the main roster. Everything about him and his push has felt forced. I wish they would’ve let him be himself first, so fans would’ve gotten interested in him, as Theory. It comes off as stubborn Vince getting a hard on for another guy.
I'm not sure about that man. His current gimmick is basically him repeating that he is the future and cheating in nearly every match. It's been a while he had a clean win. I really doesn't feel like its working.
I'm not saying he should be a comedy act, what I am saying is that he needs change or some depth at least. And no, unfortunately there is absolutely no indication that he is getting more over now, the boos haven't got louder at all.
I have no clue how they handle him - he has the physique and his in-ring is decent enough. I can’t buy him as either a face or a heel though.
I thought it would be cool if he worked with MVP but that’ll never happen
I saw a comment awhile back that said “Okada has reached the John Cena US Open Challenge part of his career” and I think that’s a great way to put it.
Man is just doing side quests now, he speed ran the main story missions so fast that he didn’t really have time to complete all the side missions. Now he decided to go back and 100% the game by ~~getting all the Korok seeds~~ doing whatever the hell he feels like for the time being.
I'm genuinely just starting to think they want us to forget that Cody ever wanted the title from Roman. He doesn't mention him in the promo at all and there's no talk of getting the title his dad never got anymore.
Ugh. Why didn't you just have him fucking win at mania??? Why???? If you're going to keep him on RAW.
I'll wait until MITB and if Cody doesn't win that to challenge Roman at Summerslam (or if Cody doesn't mention what happened at Mania at all), then I'm giving up on the storyline ever happening and just assuming WWE are fucking idiots.
I don't think he has worked heel yet, at least not in AEW. There are my pitches on how to make OC a heel while still keeping the same basic character.
.....
Shit I started writing this so confidently
Honestly the turn could be very easy. Best Friends could accidentally cost OC the title. Big trios match a couple weeks later, Chuck goes for the hot tag and OC just puts his hands in his pocket and walks away. In-character, dick move.
Thus concludes my fantasy booking. Thank you for reading.
The weird thing with Orange Cassidy is for as much as we've seen him the past few months he's spoken very little. It might be part of his character but wrestling is built on promo and character and its been the missing ingredient in this International championship run which has otherwise been great.
Same with Kenny Omega also who came off bored as fuck and was staring into space during a promo for a blood feud cage match with Moxley. It might be an unpopular opinion but Kenny did not sell me on that match at all and it came off as a minor inconvenience to him. Some of the big names have to put more into their promo work.
Nigel McGuinness potentially coming out of retirement would be one hell of a feel good moment for AEW's All In. I never thought I'd see Nigel lacing his boots up again. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I am so giddy internally seeing him file his trademark. I wonder if they could ignite a quick short build for a Ring of Honor PPV as well if Nigel is up for it. I'm sure that's enough reason to get Chris Hero back into the ring too.
Random thought: Who was the guy, who essentially was a jobber or semi-jobber, but you would have given him at least a midcard title push?
Mine is Justin Gabriel (also known as PJ Black from TNA). The guy had phenomenal in ring skills, he had a great look. I was really hoping he can break out from Nexus and Corre afterwards. So bad, he was a jobber most of his WWE career.
Imagine the meltdown on social media if this happens haha. I mean, with a roster split and some bigger exposure, I can see them stumble into a tag title run or even trios.
Oh man, I absolutely would love to see that. There is a real possibility he could get a crowd behind him with his energy. There were a couple of instances where he gathered some fantastic reaction with his screaming and stuff. I would love that.
In WWE, Bob Evans.
WWF Champion Bob Evans would've been amazing to me. Think of the co-promotion opportunities.
But seriously, there was a brief window...mid-90's...where you could've convinced me Brooklyn Brawler could've had a decent IC run.
It's always kind of annoyed me that they push this narrative of "anyone can win the rumble". Clearly they can't. I'd love to see like, Tozawa somehow eke out a win. Then go on to mania and wrestle for the world title. Win or lose, it'd at least be fun.
I'm still waiting on Avalon/Cutler happening for a belt.
I genuinely think Santino should’ve won the 2011 Rumble. That way the statement “anyone can win the rumble” would be made true, and you could get a fun underdog story out if it. Would’ve also made the World Title opening the show make sense.
Finn Balor will be the first Number 1 contender when Seth wins the new title. It makes perfect sense. He'll be the only semi finalist who is even eligible. Whoever Seth beats from Smackdown will stay on Smackdown along with the semi finalist they beat and all the others from the next two triple threat matches.
That leaves: Finn, Cody, Damian, Shinsuke, Miz
It's never gonna be Miz. Damian and Shinsuke don't have a better claim than Finn. Cody is busy with Brock.
I think a Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins feud will be really fun.
When’s the last time Edge appeared on Smackdown? I’m just going to the show this Friday, and outside of Roman’s return I want to extra build up the show to my bro.
I think he means historically, as in "will this be a celebrated return to an old brand" which I don't think is the case since he's been back and forth between brands during the JD feud.
I love TK but in my opinion, one small booking decision feels like it was a major ball drop. It feels like Powerhouse Hobbs and Arn Anderson should be a match made in heaven and instead AA is with Wardlow.
Arn likes to tell people how he will leave your brain on the pavement.
Hobbs grew up in the streets were that was the normal.
They can't seem to get either Hobbs or Wardlow into anything interesting after the chase. Starks is in the same situation. Hook, too.
I say reform Team Taz and do Hobbs vs Wardlow with AA and try to kickstart these guys so a couple of them can be inserted into the world title picture in between PPVs.
They had a chance to put Hobbs and Cage back together again when they appeared at the same time trying to take out Joe and Wardlow, but it's like they existed separately, despite being in the same segment. And it felt fresh enough to remind you of Team Taz, while never directly referencing it. It was a solid set up to a tag match that for some reason never happened.
Based on what TJPW's booker just said about wanting his wrestlers to "move on" after being in the company for some years instead of having wrestlers there for 20 years, to me it just makes certain that they'll be Stardom's Noah for the forseeable future or maybe not even that because at least Noah isn't resigned to be just a feeder company to other promotions. It's one thing to be unable to retain big names or prevent early retirements, but to make it your whole business model on purpose feels like automatically putting a ceiling to their growth. He wants to pull off the pre-90's AJW model in a world that's drastically different and in which they're nowhere close to being the top dog.
Yeah this whole thing is weird. People seem real invested in defending the early announcement as a public relations net positive, but I just don’t see it. Who wins from months of talk about your top stars leaving and management rationalizing it? Rip the band-aid off and build the future now.
I just don't see it. He has teased some face moments but always rubber-bands back. I won't believe him ever.
Buy maybe that's the next step. Make us doubt his turn that ends up being genuine.
He regain a bit of his momentum as a heel thanks to his feud with Danielson (just the match itself if I'm being honest) but the character you're describing is 100% what they should have done when he was the most cheered guy in the company post All out.
Instead of this bullshit with Regal and the "that was all a ruse" face teases.
I do too but I think it would've been more fun and ironic for him to have his first champion run as a face then go back to being heel when he loses it.
After I'd posted the brackets for the NXT women's tournament, which begins tonight, I had some time to reflect, and figure out how it'll play out.
I can't see them doing round 3 between Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne in the tournament. Jacy evened things up last time, and while it wouldn't surprise anyone if she & Gigi screw each other over, that won't happen since their matches are not on the same night.
For example, Gigi faces Tiffany Stratton tonight. Jacy vs. Roxanne Perez is next week. As I wrote earlier, it would make more sense if Gigi & Jacy were on the opposite sides of the bracket, and the same goes for Fallon Henley & Kiana James.
My take: Tiffany & Roxanne will be in one semi-final. The other bracket could go any number of ways. You could have Fallon vs. Kiana or Cora vs. Lyra. I'm banking on Cora vs. Lyra.
As crazy as it sounds, it could end up being Tiffany vs. Cora in the final.
I can definitely see Roxy & Tiffany qualifying more likely & vice versa for Cora & Lyra as well. I'm not sure about the final, but if I had to make a prediction, Roxy vs Cora.
I would rather see Sheamus instead of AJ Styles as Seth Rollins opponent at Clash of Champions . Sheamus is having the best run of his career so far and has been putting on banger after banger, it would make sense for Sheamus to face Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (since Sheamus is a former WHC himself)
Ideally Sheamus gets traded to Raw and goes after Gunther's Intercontinental Championship to complete his story
I think they're saving Sheamus' IC title win for his retirement match at this point, he's said himself a few times that he's not got too much longer left
I would rather Sheamus win the IC Championship and keep it for some time and lose the championship to The Miz so that Miz breaks the record for most Intercontinental Championship reigns
It’s the presentation of it. When you’re knocked out, you look defeated. Roll-ups are usually played off as flukes. Brock didn’t look weak on Saturday, for example.
i wonder who the long term plans of who to elevate right now is i can see zoey and diy being the main two right now since zoey vs rhea is great match and diy are the best team to take the titles off sami and owens
if people didn't read dirtsheets as much i think there would've been less hate for nxt 2.0, i remember seeing a lot of hate for it on this sub back in 2021
I check in every now and then and I'm still not huge on it, I feel like as developmental it's been 2 years and I still think a lot of people there are really green and not prepared for the main roster. Waller is the exception to that.
It still would’ve gotten hate. People just naturally hate change, even if the change isn’t bad. Although there’s still probably people, to this day, who assume Vince was running it, when it’s been made clear only Shawn has done so.
I don't go on the websites as much as I used to now (I only check the Fightful website for spoilers for taped shows) & I don't regret it since wrestling now seems a bit more better to watch.
Imagine AEW getting Session Moth for All In. Holy shit her entrance would be next level. Would make the second Matrix film rave scene look like a middle school dance.
I have no idea why she hasn't been signed by anyone at this point. She could thrive in any company and be anywhere on the card and look good. She's better than a lot of wrestlers that have been signed by the big companies in recent years.
Watching Raw right now. Some notes:
I’m only at the second triple threat, which I assume one of the heels will win, but I really wish Priest won the first one.
Next, why the hell did Mustafa Ali go over Otis? That’s a lot of Otis’s credibility gone…
I disagree with the second observation, I think it was a nice way to give Mustafa a W, while advancing the "Who Otis is better off with?" storyline.
With the Priest one, I agree, he should've definitely be in the Raw final.
I think aeW having two pay per views so close to each other is a really bad idea. Not only does it really mess with attendance. It screws up your storylines because you have to have stuff put together so soon after your biggest show of the year.
I think it will be okay. They'll have Collision up and running by then (July 8th?), so theoretically twice as many opportunities to make matches ahead of time for All In/All Out in August/September.
Forbidden Door kind of disrupted their PPV schedule last year and they never bothered to change it. Same with All In which will take place pretty close to All Out.
Yeah, it doesn’t make sense. Why not push back a few weeks so it can get better attendance numbers and you can have some fresh storylines just for that specific pay-per-view.
A fan named Orale77 has made remastered versions with the original audio. Those files are only up on a different site though, Google his name you should be able to find a link
I feel like a lot of talent got to shine this year. I'm super impressed by everyone. My husband got me back into wrestling a couple years ago, and I'm so thankful because watching people nail it is awesome
*I'm actually a pacifist. Like truly. To my core I believe violence is wrong. I think I like wrestling because it's scripted, I get that emotional release. I get to enjoy it
Fun fact, I used to mishear this as the literal opposite "Wrestling has only one royal family", thinking it was another dig at Triple H like the rest of the song.
They were there last year and sold 5k tickets for RAW. They sold nearly 9k tickets for last night. That’s a huge increase. Yeah the crowd was dead and all that but if they have a market where they can sell 9k tickets with an improvement of 4k compared to last year then there’s no reason not to go there again.
I wonder if we might be getting close to a Legit Leyla Hirsch return, either in AEW or potentially in ROH. Awhile back I heard she'd resumed in-ring training, but nothing since then. Maybe after Double or Nothing? It's been over a year, there's so many new people for her to whang in the head with a turnbuckle now
I think this will ultimately be a short “Man” run for Becky. Probably just to give the fans memories of when she became huge in 2018. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mania 40 will be her last time being a full-timer.
Shes only 36. Without getting injured, she could easily hang for another 5-10 years before dropping out of full time wrestling. Why would she give it up?
Becky has repeatedly talked about wanting to get into Hollywood. I could see her wanting to go sooner rather than later, she's legitimately done it all already.
I see her wanting to move into other ventures, mainly acting. I’m not saying she’s giving it up entirely, but like Mercedes and Charlotte I think she’s going to be mostly part-time starting next year, probably after she puts over Rhea.
There were 8 matches on Raw today. That's definitely a very high number in recent times based on what I can recall.
The Smackdown finalist choice has me intrigued - I have no idea who they will pick from the six contestants. It is as unpredictable as Rollins was predictable. Hoping Rey vs Edge vs Styles gets some good time and is a classic.
If LA Knight won't get a good feature this Smackdown then I think it is time for people here(including myself) to stop believing that he wins MITB or even US Title, he is no where near that level of card, he barely wins vs Xavier Woods and he even loses to him, he hasnt been at 2 PLEs in a row now at all, was at a dark match before the previous smackdown and is in my opinion sadly will probably be just a guy WWE uses for 3 years in lower midcard to put faces over without giving him a nice big run

I’m actually more hyped for them than all my teams right now, but you have always to be on your toes as a Jets fan cause the other shoe can drop at any time.
Oh believe me I know. I think we’ll be better than the Pats for once. Maybe even the Bills cause I see them taking a step back this year. The Fins I’m actually really worried about.
What is up with WWE's "edging" method of storylines? The bloodline will be broken up for like 2 months now with all the teasing that Jey will turn/be kicked out and Otis joining MMM but instead he and Gable just have midcard matches with Maxine coming out with them without Otis fully commiting, like how long is that moment gonna be? Next Wrestlemania or what? Let the characters move on, no need to stale it for so long without real advancement
This is an issue I see a lot in wrestling stories, fear of the payoff. We saw it with how long it took the wardlow/MJF split to happen too. It's really annoying especially when big shows like mania end with feeling like a tiny progression in that story than a big moment. Like Sami turning at the rumble has had way more of an impact on the bloodlines overall cohesion than the ending of either night of mania
I like the Otis/MMM stuff but I do agree. Chad said in an interview he has ideas "to last all summer" 💀 I'd rather they'd split and Chad moves on as a singles competitor by then
Seth Rollins is too good to be a glorified Bobby Roode, the crowds love it but it feels such a boring gimmick for a guy who can talk and wrestle at S tier level
He has the crowd wrapped around his finger every moment he’s in front of them. Blows my mind that he’s being left in the mid-cards to have meaningless matches against Logan Paul and Omos.
Bro’s last big title run was pre-covid and there’s no guarantee he wins the world heavyweight title. Maybe when he actually wins the title and holds it for more than a month I’ll change my opinion on him being totally under-utilised and under-appreciated.
Hell, even if he does win it, it’s probably just going to be treated like a glorified 24/7 title they made to appease everyone that was tired of Roman hogging the two actual big titles.
I wish Matt Hardy did something fresh with the Broken Universe stuff. But it’s just been the same stuff since he debuted it in Impact. He had the creative ingenuity to come up with it, surely he can find ways to expand on it beyond funny voice, mannerisms, and pronunciation. It’s old and played out.
Ranking the NXT Women's Championship tournament competitors by how much I'd like to see them win:
1. Jacy Jayne
2. Fallon Henley
3. Tiffany Stratton
4. Cora Jade
5. Roxanne Perez
6. Kiana James
7. Lyra Valkyria
8. Gigi Dolin
Most likely it'll be Tiffany, Roxanne, or Cora, which is fine with me I think they're great, but I'm a Jacy and Fallon supporter with all my heart
It might be an uphill battle, but if any of those 4(Sheamus, edge, Mysterio and Styles) win, I’ll be hype as hell.
Trish coming back and not losing a step in-ring or on the mic is absolutely insane. She could get a title run out of her comeback tour and I honestly think it'd go over well
nxt tonight without CUM TUESDAY? i'm heartbroken and sick to my stomach 💔
Hi everyone can you still get an xwt account for free or if ill have to donate the £10
I really hope Jamie gets to have a singles match at double or nothing, but it doesn’t seem likely right now.
I feel like it’s been almost a week since I’ve heard CM punk news. Hope he’s okay. /s
Sometimes the best decisions in life come from the bottom of a bottle of liquor....

this stomach flu fever headache combination got me walking like ishii around the house
No-one better to channel when fighting off illnesses than the Stone Pitbull
Feel better!
Can someone confirm - was Roman’s last singles match on SmackDown against Riddle on 6/17/22?
Yes, before that was what looks like a squash against Sami Zayn and a no-contest against Xavier Woods from 2021.
Well “I be like SHEESH”
I absolutely love the Judgment Day, but even I felt a bit of fatigue when they had 5/8 of the matches and two back stage segments last night. I'm glad all of them have a singles push, but I'm worried they might get over exposed and kill some of their charm.
I mean, they’re the biggest stable on Raw, and their stories aren’t as concentrated as the Bloodline’s.
this may sound like a stupid question, its my first time going to double or nothing and the ticket says 4pm. nut but thats the pre show right? the main card starts at 5?
Yes, you are correct. Doors will probably open a bit before the pre-show start time as well.
Awesome thanks
Awesome thanks
Hardcore Holly’s book is really great. I’ll quote a bit on the Jarrett/Lawler incarnation of WCCW: >Nobody was making money.
I can’t wait for BOSJ. First Night Main Event in Koruaken is Hiromu vs Speeball…
Himbo Theory was great.
Problem is that he’s never going to become a top star that way. At least he stands a chance of it with his current gimmick.
I'm not sure about that man. His current gimmick is basically him repeating that he is the future and cheating in nearly every match. It's been a while he had a clean win. I really doesn't feel like its working.
And yet, it’s still working better than a comedy gimmick would.
Not for a long time man. The steam is really running out behind him. They need to change him up ASAP.
Seems like he’s getting more over now, if anything. Besides, you can’t become a top star as a comedy act.
Has OC ever worked heel? I was pondering how he could get heat with his gimmick. I think I'd like to see it eventually.
That's a heel move, not a heel character. I think it needs a bit more motivation.
Some of the big names have to put more into their promo work.
jericho vs mr moseby is the real showdown of the immortals
Lanny Poffo could have been a decent heel IC champ that always held onto the belt by the skin of his teeth.
WCW Alex Wright for TV champ
Didnt he win that belt? And the cruiserweight one?
Wingmen for trios titles on a fluke.
Imagine the meltdown on social media if this happens haha. I mean, with a roster split and some bigger exposure, I can see them stumble into a tag title run or even trios.
Right now I’d really like to see Tozawa get a big revitalization. Could get a few shocking victories, leading to a feel good title run.
Tozawamania would be fun for sure haha. I unfortunately am not familiar with Bob Evans, I haven't watched that era too much.
I genuinely think Santino should’ve won the 2011 Rumble. That way the statement “anyone can win the rumble” would be made true, and you could get a fun underdog story out if it. Would’ve also made the World Title opening the show make sense.
Which NXT tourney matches are tonight? I’ll mark the hell out for a Kiana win.
Lyra vs. Kiana & Tiffany vs. Gigi. Lyra & Tiffany are going over.
Cora, you know what to do.
I'm curious how much of All In willl be supercard dream matches and how much of it will be following regular feuds from weekly TV?
GiveMeSport still posting articles by Dangoor is a REAL bad look.
Discord screenies are shocking, but not surprising too given they're publishing his articles still.
Haven't enjoyed both raw and smackdown both shows have been flat
Anything specific you’re not really feeling with both shows?
Just had a daydream about Dave Benson Philips gunging Chris jericho at All In.
Boozer is saying WWE will have another international PPV on Sept 2
Finn Balor will be the first Number 1 contender when Seth wins the new title. It makes perfect sense. He'll be the only semi finalist who is even eligible. Whoever Seth beats from Smackdown will stay on Smackdown along with the semi finalist they beat and all the others from the next two triple threat matches. That leaves: Finn, Cody, Damian, Shinsuke, Miz It's never gonna be Miz.
It’ll be his first appearance since being drafted.
I think he means historically, as in "will this be a celebrated return to an old brand" which I don't think is the case since he's been back and forth between brands during the JD feud.
Not really, it was Rey and Dom who were switching shows.
Did Edge not show up a few times on SD when the Rey/Dom feud was in its infancy right as the team was splitting up? Legit asking.
I don’t believe so. I’m pretty sure all of them were on Raw until Rey asked to be moved after Extreme Rules.
Edge is scheduled for one of the triple threats on Friday, so he’ll definitely be there.

I love MJF as a heel, but I think the moment in which he'll turn face is coming closer.
I just don't see it. He has teased some face moments but always rubber-bands back. I won't believe him ever. Buy maybe that's the next step. Make us doubt his turn that ends up being genuine.
Funny Babyface "With all due respect Renee, shut your mouth." MJF would've been a more interesting champion than what we have now.
Agreed!
I enjoy him like this tho
I do too but I think it would've been more fun and ironic for him to have his first champion run as a face then go back to being heel when he loses it.
He's tied with Jade for my least enjoyable champion in the company.
Sheamus is having the best run of his career so far and has been putting on banger after banger, it would make sense for Sheamus to face Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (since Sheamus is a former WHC himself) Ideally Sheamus gets traded to Raw and goes after Gunther's Intercontinental Championship to complete his story

Rhea’s next challenger is… *Natalya*? Who’s next, Tamina?
Bianca Belair? All jokes aside, what's wrong with Natalya facing Rhea Ripley? I mean, yes it's Natalya, but at least she has a challenger.
No one gives a shit about Natalya. That, and they really needed somebody strong after Zelina Vega. This hasn’t been a good start to her reign at all.

Do a triple threat with Becky and Trish, thus saving their one-on-one for SummerSlam.
Who would eat the pin though?
Becky. Could even be a roll-up if it’s necessary to protect her.
Wouldn't a roll-up make Becky look weak though?
It’s the presentation of it. When you’re knocked out, you look defeated. Roll-ups are usually played off as flukes. Brock didn’t look weak on Saturday, for example.
That's a fair point.
i wonder who the long term plans of who to elevate right now is i can see zoey and diy being the main two right now since zoey vs rhea is great match and diy are the best team to take the titles off sami and owens
Oh my fucking god, why are they doing Theory and Lashley again?
Oh my fucking god, why are they doing Theory and Lashley again
GOTG Vol. 3 was mad fun goddamn
if people didn't read dirtsheets as much i think there would've been less hate for nxt 2.0, i remember seeing a lot of hate for it on this sub back in 2021
You mean when it transitioned suddenly from 'WWE minor league' to 'babys first wrestling show?' No, I'm sure there still would have been hate.
I check in every now and then and I'm still not huge on it, I feel like as developmental it's been 2 years and I still think a lot of people there are really green and not prepared for the main roster. Waller is the exception to that.
im excited to see what waller is going to do on smackdown
It still would’ve gotten hate. People just naturally hate change, even if the change isn’t bad. Although there’s still probably people, to this day, who assume Vince was running it, when it’s been made clear only Shawn has done so.
that's also true
I don't go on the websites as much as I used to now (I only check the Fightful website for spoilers for taped shows) & I don't regret it since wrestling now seems a bit more better to watch.
i've been avoiding dirtsheets like the plague for a while now and it helps a lot with immersion
Funny thing is, I used to check WrestlingInc daily, but soon I removed the website as a bookmark, not once I considered going back there.
Imagine AEW getting Session Moth for All In. Holy shit her entrance would be next level. Would make the second Matrix film rave scene look like a middle school dance.
She did Dark or Rampage or something but just got a jobber entrance (and I think it may have been limited crowds in Jacksonville anyway)
I have no idea why she hasn't been signed by anyone at this point. She could thrive in any company and be anywhere on the card and look good. She's better than a lot of wrestlers that have been signed by the big companies in recent years.
Watching Raw right now. Some notes: I’m only at the second triple threat, which I assume one of the heels will win, but I really wish Priest won the first one. Next, why the hell did Mustafa Ali go over Otis? That’s a lot of Otis’s credibility gone…
Otis has credibility? He’s a comedy act.
A comedy act who’s still used for big guy action. How can he be pinned by an outright jobber?
Because big guys are allowed to lose to smaller guys, and he’s on the same level as Ali in terms of positioning.
Otis has been far more prominently featured than Ali.
Yeah to be a joke, not as like a credible challenger for anything.
Isn't Otis basically stuck in the middle between Chad Gable & Maxxine?
Do unedited episodes of WCW exist somewhere? Curious to revisit 96-99 but only if the music etc is the same
Speaking of which, does anybody remember that RECW project?
A fan named Orale77 has made remastered versions with the original audio. Those files are only up on a different site though, Google his name you should be able to find a link
I feel like a lot of talent got to shine this year. I'm super impressed by everyone. My husband got me back into wrestling a couple years ago, and I'm so thankful because watching people nail it is awesome *I'm actually a pacifist. Like truly. To my core I believe violence is wrong. I think I like wrestling because it's scripted, I get that emotional release. I get to enjoy it
I’d love if Sheamus wins the raw title tbh.
THAT'S ME GOLD, FELLA
What is the acapella words said at the start of Cody Rhodes theme song?
Fun fact, I used to mishear this as the literal opposite "Wrestling has only one royal family", thinking it was another dig at Triple H like the rest of the song.
"wrestling has more than one royal family"
Thanks mate, appreciate you
I know people hated the crowd last night for RAW, but there’s no fucking way in hell they don’t go back to Jacksonville
Im so glad that Christian is gonna wrestle Wardlow, that match is absolute money imo.
Has anyone edited I Wanna Talk About Me by Toby Keith over last night's Lesnar promo yet?
Yeah he’s getting the Bobby Roode treatment
Bobby Roode was never as over as Knight

Four Guarantees In Life: * Death * Taxes * Jets, Mets, and Knicks always blowing it * Natalya getting a mini push in WWE every year
Mini push in the spring/summer specifically lmao
Getting a mini push while not winning a goddamn singles match. It's been like forever.
Her last televised singles win was last year against Cora Jade in NXT. Before that it was HIAC 2021 kickoff in the Thunderdome. Crazy.
She gets the spotlight for one feud a year. It’s basically in her contract at this point.
I'll give her a faction if I'm honest. It'll showcase two other girls while keeping Nattie on TV.
Yeah I mean it’s not like she’s gonna win the championship ever again. She already got her token run in 2017.
Natalya's pushes would be a lot more believable if she won anything more than just the 2 or so matches in the month leading up to her title shot
Jets out here thinking the fuck we did now?
I’m actually more hyped for them than all my teams right now, but you have always to be on your toes as a Jets fan cause the other shoe can drop at any time.
The AFC looks so brutal this year and even just the AFC East by itself, that I think expectations can only be so high.
Oh believe me I know. I think we’ll be better than the Pats for once. Maybe even the Bills cause I see them taking a step back this year. The Fins I’m actually really worried about.
Which Jets?
Basing on OP probably being a New Yorker/NY sports fan I'd say the football Jets
Im actually okay that not everything big happens at mania otherwise it would be predictable
Not everything, but something should’ve happened at Mania. Nothing felt conclusive, not a single thing.
Im actually okay that not everything big happens at mania otherwise it would be predictable
> What is up with WWE's "edging" method of storylines? It makes the *climax* of the story feel better.
Uhg so many crushed.... Finishes.
WWE won't let anybody have a happy ending.
I like the Otis/MMM stuff but I do agree. Chad said in an interview he has ideas "to last all summer" 💀 I'd rather they'd split and Chad moves on as a singles competitor by then
Jesus Christ did he really say that, like it slows down all of them like what's the point
Seth Rollins is too good to be a glorified Bobby Roode, the crowds love it but it feels such a boring gimmick for a guy who can talk and wrestle at S tier level
He has the crowd wrapped around his finger every moment he’s in front of them. Blows my mind that he’s being left in the mid-cards to have meaningless matches against Logan Paul and Omos.
bro is literally about to win the world heavyweight title what are you smoking 💀
Bro’s last big title run was pre-covid and there’s no guarantee he wins the world heavyweight title. Maybe when he actually wins the title and holds it for more than a month I’ll change my opinion on him being totally under-utilised and under-appreciated. Hell, even if he does win it, it’s probably just going to be treated like a glorified 24/7 title they made to appease everyone that was tired of Roman hogging the two actual big titles.
mhm
You know I wouldn’t have been bothered at all if they opted to stay a little longer in PR and have Raw over there as well 🥲
I wish Matt Hardy did something fresh with the Broken Universe stuff. But it’s just been the same stuff since he debuted it in Impact. He had the creative ingenuity to come up with it, surely he can find ways to expand on it beyond funny voice, mannerisms, and pronunciation. It’s old and played out.
Ranking the NXT Women's Championship tournament competitors by how much I'd like to see them win: 1. Jacy Jayne 2. Fallon Henley 3. Tiffany Stratton 4. Cora Jade 5. Roxanne Perez 6. Kiana James 7. Lyra Valkyria 8. Gigi Dolin Most likely it'll be Tiffany, Roxanne, or Cora, which is fine with me I think they're great, but I'm a Jacy and Fallon supporter with all my heart
