The dude just barely missed the cut making an NFL team after leaving WWE in 2004. He didn't even play football in college! He had some nagging injuries which caused him to become part of the last rounds of cuts. Dude is a physical, talented freak of nature.

Brock is on board working with Cody he is putting some actual great work in this feud granted we don't know why he went after Cody but he's the beast so imo he can do whatever he wants whenever he wants. Cody we know will sell for Brock or anybody really I'm honestly excited for their next match up I enjoyed their match at Backlash it was short but I found it enjoyable imo.

I feel like there's a non-zero chance Brock caught a clip of Cody with his torn pec (like while waiting backstage) at some point and was like "Give me him." He's way more into this than he was Omos or Bobby (and we know he rejected Bray).

Brock doesn't get enough credit for his work in putting people over. When he is into it he turns his opponents into stars.

From the moment Brock turned on Cody, I presumed his motivation was to 'toughen' Cody up before Cody's rematch with Roman Reigns and Brock would soon explain in a promo, "If you can't beat me, then you can't beat Reigns" with a underlying plan to go after the Universal Title again once Cody beats Reigns for the title and Brock is no longer banned from challenging for it while the title is in Roman's possession. Then again, maybe his whole motivation is NOBODY gets a rematch against Roman for the title until Brock does... or just BROCK SMASH 'cos Brock's gonna Brock.
