If nothing else, it seems like fans are finally starting to realise that the problem isn't any single individual, but rather an entire companies senior management enduring petty squabbles, cash flow issues, and bad decision making, while those on the bottom actually making the products have to then deal with.
Sonic as an IP will be around for some time, but it's pretty self evident that the best Sonic games are the ones that SEGA touch the least.
It's a really unfortunate situation, but it's never gonna be over for us Sonic fans. Sonic has survived everything up to this point, he'll continue to do so. Sega may be corrupt (or they may not be; I'm not asserting anything), but even if so, the winds of change will come, old staff will leave and new blood will flow in, different decisions will be made eventually if that's what it takes.
I've been a fan since 1996 and Sonic origins hurt the most, it was like a slap in the face for me and I get to refund it.
I like your optimism though, i know I'll never quit being a Sonic fan, however i do know that I'm not gonna buy anything from SEGA until they fix whatever is going on inside their buildings in Japan.
Strangely, games like yakuza and two point hospital are great, maybe SEGA does not interfere with their design.
Been saying this ever since SEGA gave us Forces, but all people like myself and I got from you guys were "SHUT UP HATER! SEGA DOES WHAT NINTENDON'T! SEGA LISTENS! THEY DON'T TAKE DOWN FAN GAMES! THEY TAKE THEIR TIME WITH UPCOMING SONIC GAMES!! WE GOT THE MOVIE! THEY HAVE BIG BUDGET! THEY LEARNT FROM THEIR MISTAKES!!! YOU DON'T WANT ANOTHER 06 DO YOU????"...
Hey! I said I'd wait until I could get it for cheaper and I stuck to that!
^(Now if you want to argue about the worthiness of purchasing Sonic Frontiers day one I'll entertain it.)
Did you hear how sonic 3's audio sounds like? I don't care about the MJ music replacement much I'm only disappointed that it sounds muffled and mis-edited. The fan made versions sounds much much better.
It was a slap in the face and i had to refund the game.
tails AI still sucks.
They had a chance to improve sonic 1 jumping physics but they didn't.
They just took a free game, somehow made it worse, and slapped a 45 dollar price tag on it. (The unlockable visual art is not worth it, it's already on the internet!)
It Sonic 1 and 2 physics has always been stiff compared to Sonic 3, which is ok, i don't mind this in the original games, but origins had the chance to improve upon them and make them as good as sonic 3. But they didn't. Another reason why sonic origins is not justified as an expensive replacement for the fan ports that are free to download.
I think of all the issues with origins, keeping the jump height the same as the originals isn’t one of them. Personally I think the physics should remain identical to the originals, that’s how they were designed.
Now if you wanna talk about the bugs, the botched music n all that then there’s a lot to say. I just don’t think changing sonics jump height from how it was originally is one of the problems

I knew this would happen. Can SEGA stop ruining Sonic's reputation for 5 minutes?
Was considering getting origins But now I can see it would be better to wait another day
I refunded my game, hoping that they would fix it so that i could buy it again
You see i told sonic fanboys orgins was a waste of money but they kept saying oh 40$ ain't nothing or you mad you can't afford it 🤨

Leave sega alone Their trying their best!! Be mad at Microsoft for trying to ruin Minecraft
There's notable bugs in Origins? I haven't noticed anything yet

I haven't gone through 3 yet, but I will after work. What's wrong with Sonic 1's jump?
