I'm gonna say something here that I will apologize for now, but wasn't the standard roman crucifixion method with a capital T shaped cross so they would have been hurt by capital T until it changed?
Most where X's.
Its perfect, no ropes needed, you can put the nails on parts where they wouldnt have broken tissue (the meaty parts on the heel, full of nervous endings and below the wrists between the 2 bones of the forearm).
The castlevania Netflix series gives a great response to this. They basically say that vamps have a hard time when looking at sigils and symbols. So any kind of complex or intricate pattern would work on any vamp. Crosses work on the most basic level, and the more complex the more it’ll do.
Iirc the original lore of vampires began from deviants who partook the blood of Christ after his death but before burial. God punished them for this sin by making them unable to go out into the sun and the crucifix became harmful to them due to their transgression against the son of god. Flowing water is another one because the flow of water represents as in many religions death and the afterlife
1. Vampires are classically weak to the Christian cross
2. Jesus dead = cross becomes important (crucifixion and all)
3. Jesus Dead = crosses become christian = vampire ouchie
I love the Castlevania explanation that geometric shapes mess with the predatory vision of vampires.
Also the silver-backed mirror thing is fun too.
Anyway, a cross freaking out a vampire like fences freak out cat vision would reinforce the ignorant belief that god exists and vampires somehow are satanic.
So my thesis is concluded.

Ok dr.frankenstein. sheesh somebody's got a strong stomach.
Had this described to me in church as young as 10.
Why did they wait so long? Most catholics have to start listening to it 6 months before they're baptised
Well, maybe because I’m not catholic lol
I mean, the T pose ain't as gruesome as the X pose ngl.
And quite a few crucifixions just straight up took place on trees along trade roads to put fear into traders so they would give the Romans fair deals
Also no headrest, cuz fuck em that’s why.

Do that's why calculus hurts?
This is it…
Geometric shapes, says Belmont.

I think you're describing the plot of Dracula 2001
Vampires appear in tales from many different cultures throughout history and have nothing to do with Jesus.
Yes, which is why this is the earliest *christian* lore.
Where are you getting it from? Genuinely curious
that the post is talking about christian vampires, of course non christian vampies aren't supposed to be affected by christians cross
African vampires hover over the ground and have blue skin
They can also stop time and throw road rollers
I'm giving you an upvote but I'm not happy about it.
Though christianity had spread to wallachia and transylvania at the point when vampires were made up

Lower case t's hadn't yet been invented in those days.
What the fuck are lower t's
Crosses, i believe. It took me a a moment, to get it too!
Ahhhh ok thx
I don't get it. Context anybody?

I’m five, thanks for explaining it to me.
I don’t get it
Don’t worry, none of these things are real.
