So many spots on Lawrence Ave between Victoria Park and Kennedy.
Sumaq, Ghadir, Harry's Burger, Top Gun burgers, Big Moe's, Sam's Ribs and Hot Chicken, Karahi Boys to name a few.
Their menu is pretty straightforward. I always get their chicken and rice. They smother it in this amazing sauce. I had it last night after my workout. They have other items on the menu too.
I worked a few minutes walk from Johnny's for many years. I never understood the appeal aside from it being cheap and quick, and the old school vibe. Esquire Restaurant, basically next door, has a better burger in my opinion.
Cheffys is a newer spot that is pretty good on O’Connor. They serve Indian street food. They don’t have a website but you can google and check out the reviews for yourself
