Declassifcation Requests + Information Thread, July to September 2020

**NOTE: For ease of use, we separate your comments into categories. Please make sure to put a reply in the correct category:**
* Miscellaneous (International/Joke/Explained/GoI Formats)
* Personal Requests
* Suggestions and Support
## **Tales, Canons, and Tale Series**
Reply to this comment to request explanations for individual tales or even tale series and canons. *(Examples: The Cool War, I ≠ I, Introductory Antimemetics)*
I don't think I ≠ I should be used as an example anymore, considering the fact it was deleted over two years ago now.
Could someone do a declass on the antimemetics series as a whole now that it's finished?
Could you explain [Escape From Terminus](http://www.scp-wiki.net/escape-from-terminus), [The Clock At Saint Claude's](http://www.scp-wiki.net/the-clock-at-saint-claudes), and [The Death of AJ Fader](http://www.scp-wiki.net/death-of-aj-fader). I'm just having some trouble understanding them. Though I assume that they're about the anomalous and I can sort of tell what the anomaly is supposed to be (Escape from Terminus is the game or Minotaur or both, The Clock at Saint Claude's is the clock, and The Death of AJ Fader is the person), I can't really tell *what* exactly the anomaly is supposed to be or what is supposed to be anomalous because they just seem *too* normal and the anomalies' anomalous stuff is just not obvious enough for me.
## **Overviews and Essays**
If you need general information about a part of the Foundation universe, or have a suggestion as to what to put next in our essay series, please add your comment here. *(Examples: A Modern Introduction to the SCP Foundation, A History of Sarkicism, SCP Glossary of Terms)*
Who is dado? I've seen references all over the wiki but even the dado hub gives no solid info.
Idiot funny man who speaks wackily and does silly things.
While I'm not sure if this is the correct category for it (I also thought about posting this into the scp category) , can someone explain me the SCP-914 extended testing logs universe? It seems to be so full of self references, that I don't fully understand it.
## **International/Joke/Explained, GoI Formats, Others**
If you're confused about material that isn't an SCP or a tale, such as a foreign SCP, a GoI Format, or something completely different, please reply below. *(Examples: SCP-920-EX, SCP-001-KO, SCP-002-ES)*
Literally anything related to the Abnormality Institute, No articles about it have been translated to English and I am OMEGA-PISSED.
What language are they in?
Chinese, although other language branches may have stuff on them.
I might take a look. any specific requests?
I don't know enough to make any specific requests, but I think articles that relate to Wrong's Proposal would be a good start.
This SCP 001 proposal
Chicago Spirit Would be good. Or Nobody
## **Suggestions and Support**
If you have a general question about the community or about structure and management; if you have a great suggestion for the modteam; or if you have any other concern you'd like to being up, please reply down below!
It seems like the Sunday Discussions are abandoned? Understandable I guess, since I noticed it's going to flood the front page sooner or later.
Maybe add that section to here for the random little SCP questions?
Are there restrictions on who can update the Hub/Catalog?
Will the [Catalog](https://www.reddit.com/r/SCPDeclassified/wiki/catalog#wiki_by_number) be updated in the near future?
## **SCPs/001 Proposals**
Reply to this comment if you're seriously confused about an SCP (or 001 Proposal) and need a declassification! *(Examples: SCP-3942, SCP-093, djkaktus's Proposal)*
would love to see your take on 5317!
I would really like the exquisite corpse contest one, 5250 I think
hey hey, one half of the writing team behind 5250
if people do want to see it i wouldn't mind having 5250 declassed, either by me or by someone else (with them letting me know of course haha)
There are 3 SCPs with a similar title.
[SCP-5250](http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-5250) - Act I: The Lake South, The Deer North
[SCP-5662](http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-5662) - Act III: Life and Depth
[SCP-5689](http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-5689) - Act V: Him, His Devil, and Confessional
Are they a continuous story that I have to all read in order?
Nope, actually; they're all just named after a band I quite enjoy; The Dear Hunter, who has acts that tell a coherent story numbered in the way you see. Acts II and IV are being drafted/critiqued, so if the numbers put you off, you can totally ignore 'em.
Yes please, I read it yesterday and it was really good, but I also want some explaining on it
Recipe meets SCP by way of Night Vale? I'll take it.
Godspeed then; you got my blessin'.
I'll do it.
There is a secret hidden collapsible right before the end that rounds out the purpose of 5317.
oh i know, that's the best part
FYI, 5317 pretends it's a cool story about the Scarlet King to trap the narrative eater from that one SCP that they figured out what sort of narrative assembled can summon it
That indeed seems like a really fun SCP for someone here to write about!
[SCP-](http://www.scpwiki.com/scp-5251) please! it's the best skip i have ever seen!
I never really understood any of the memetic SCPs
I second this!
Me too! It was fun, but I didn't understand anything. The mechanics of how the SCP erased Petrov etc or whatever it did. It feels like there should be antimemetic and temporal tags, but there isn't?
I could tell it's a sad ending though that >!Kseniya forgot to meet him!<. :(
> >!I'm here.
I'm at your old office. Where are you?
Kseniya, where are you?
edit: [This discussion post](http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-13660997/scp-5251#post-4764810) helped a bit.
Wait, how did you see past the text block?
I didn't, you just have to try your best to fill in the blanks with the number of letters. But those last few lines are easy.
[SCP-5935 (Blood and the Breaking of My Heart)](http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-5935) by djkaktus
Would really love to see someone tackle this one - discovered it via top rated new pages and reading it was an absolute rollercoaster.
I think that one may be in the works, but it’s definitely going to be coming soon.
Oh, fantastic! Looking forward to reading it.
5999? I heard that it's being declassified by a group of people but that was 5 months ago and still nothing is out.
Modulum's working on it. It's not exactly the lightest of loads.
Correct me if I'm wrong but couldn't that be explained in just a few sentences? If you understood the SCP, overanalyzing it is a trap intended by the Foundation and everything written there is nonsense. What are they taking months to write about?
5999 is a bunch of stories designed to keep the reader (the real world SCP authors) reading so they see the video at the end, which is a memetic kill agent that kills the authors so they stop introducing villains and chaos and end of the world scenarios into the SCP universe (or whatever their motives are, S. Andrew Swann's 001 proposal is that the SCP universe is fictional and talks about what to do about it). Everything is a red herring.
Damn that's...... Disappointing...
I think it's cool! The real scope of the article isn't the game or whatever, it's something that extends to real life! And the seven candles flickering out- that is metaphorical chains breaking, it's how many things are between you and the memetic kill agent, and you release it from containment by opening the final collapsible and you die! It shows what happens when you are too obsessed with mystery, and it is about the greatest mystery of all.
Both of Roget's 001 Proposals, and how they connect.
One of the central pillars of Keter Duty is the concept of the VK-Class Reality Restructuring Scenario. This is when the fundamental laws of nature which underpin physical reality are made anomalous by the instant and complete changeover to anomalous laws. In Keter Duty, this is caused when a critical mass of reality-bending anomalous phenomena is untethered from the cyclical patterns which keep them in place. The Conspiracy is about the consequences of the VK Scenario which occurred at the moment of death in Dallas. Thus the conspiracy is an attempt to understand what has happened and finding reality to have been shattered like a pane of glass. This is what happens when you try to put feelings back in people after taking them away.
4243 (I think) aka Testing shall continue. Always been a strange one for me.
It was "[SCP-4342](http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-4342) - Testing Shall Continue". Reads almost exactly the same as "[SCP-3107](http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-3107) - The Well Documented Marble" IMO.
Repeating a post I wrote right before the previous thread was refreshed.
[SCP-5145](http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-5145) - I Buried The Sun
[FILE](http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-5242) - SCP-INTEGER
[SCP-5034](http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-5034) - The Meat Angels
Most of the time, I don't need to write a request here. But today I just ended up reading 3 mind bending SCPs in a row. @[email protected]
SCP-INTEGER is a doctor did some anomalous math and derived the existence of a god that's worshipped by the Fae and I think is in charge of the extradimensional faerie refugee camp, and the doctor spoke his name, so as a punishment the god hit him with some sort of nomenclative magic so that his name has always been Placeholder, and anything related to this event/phenomenon follows the same weird nomenclative rules.
Thanks. But that was already done recently, and is currently visible on the front page. The only one not written yet is SCP-5034. Perhaps you can declassify it?
No, I really can't - I was just explaining an SCP I could explain quickly to help them out
Lol, no problem. Wasn't being serious by that.
5420, I have an idea but I'm not 100% sure
SCP-139 got rewritten recently and I feel there's a lot that flew over my head while reading it
Would like a declassification about this as well.
On a very basic level it seems to be about a traitor of the Foundation (which is us) reading their own file.
I’m down to try and declass this sometime in the future
4179, 4224, 4800, 5003, 5800, 5009, 5111, 5225, 5099, 5400, 5678, 5335, 5013, 5016, 5566, 5830, 5030, WMDD's proposal.
Currently working on a declass of the full Palisade canon, so that includes WMDD
How is progress on that?
I'm a decent chunk through the the first act, but it'll be a little while until I get that up, let alone the WORM itself. If you want to join the Discord server and @ me, I'd be happy to briefly explain it to you there. (It's really late for me)
sure, just tell me when you feel ready and awake.
The Factory 001 proposal. I understood what it was about, but I know there’s a lot of references to other characters and parts of the SCP universe I’m not getting.
"[SCP-5466](http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-5466) - Death of the Creator"
I only get the general idea that it's a >!very meta SCP about trying to perfect your writing or other works!<.
Series I SCPs because they're difficult, have no story, and I'm evil.
There HAS to be some clues as to what 447 does with a dead body
I think the point is not to know; I doubt Clef (the author) even knows
djkaktus's proposal III, The Way it Ends
Edit: mod ue on the scp-wiki-official blog told me what they intended for SCP-5499 and I am very underwhelmed (don't waste your energy trying to interpret it)
SCP 3700 please!
Any way to help clarify SCP-3100?
SCP-5558 for crying out loud are we even supposed to know what's really happening in the final incident log???
i'd like to see your take of scp-5016
I just read SCP 5240 and I am kind of confused about the whole thing.
## **Author Requests/Personal Requests etc.**
If you wrote something and want to see us talk about it; if you already know about a work on the site and would just love to see our take; or if you're just throwing something cool out there, file it in here.
Repeating a post I wrote right before the previous thread was refreshed.
"[SCP-4023](http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-4023) - The Inexplainable Nature of Twenty Three"
Not that difficult to understand, but feels like some writer here could have fun writing it. The whole SCP presents seemingly unrelated puzzle pieces that mostly all comes together at the end. The author had a quite epic idea that must have taken some time to all plan and write.
Scp 5800 is one I’d love to see explained
This Japanese proposal
Can someone explain SCP-4302 for me, because ive never been so confused http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-4302
what is the baby mentioned in scp-3862? the doctor just points to the virus but in the letters Eleanore refers to their baby as an actual baby
SCP-3451 is a kitter class object completely made of stone, it’s brownish in color and emits a crying sound similar to a child when In close proximity to humans, it’s source of origin is unknown however according to researchers it’s dormant in the daytime and disappears in the night, only to be found with the limb of a human beside it, procedures has then been put in place to contain the scp however it grows in size with each limb sometimes even attaching them to become an almost humanoid like body with two arms and no legs, we labeled it scp- 3451-1.
SCP-231 is a philosophical tale about a choice between torturing a child and letting the whole world be destroyed. That's it.
...although there is that bit where it implies the Foundation is playing into the Scarlet King's hands, and also what does it mean that they have what they want where they want it, and who is narrating the hidden text poem? Come to think of it, I want a declassification too! (although I'm sure the answer to all of those questions is an author trying to be super creepy without any purpose in mind lol)
Or they're reading her bedtime stories
That was written by someone other than Clef, the author of 231; that wasn't intended by the 231 article, and I want to know what all the stuff in the article means
