Anyone else giving up on pants?

Anyone else giving up on pants?

I became a dress person when I got pregnant. They immediately make you look like you put effort, require less items of clothing to wear, and don't need to be washed after every wear (unless baby spits up etc.)

tinksaysboo

I became a dress person pre baby for this reason. People are always like “you are always so dressed up” and I’m thinking “all I did was pull something over my head and decide on shoes — which are usually the same black ballet flats I buy a new pair of once they soles wear thin”. So much easier than coordinating multiple articles of clothing

_philia_

Yes! I get way more compliments wearing my dresses than I ever did when I "made an effort" (jeans, blouse, blazer etc.) Weird how it works! I also noticed that very few ladies wear dresses out and about, at least in my area (year round). Maybe that's why?

Ms-Peach

As soon as it warms up, I live in dresses! Look cute while having breezy freedom, haha.

Toodalooaloo

that’s a good point, I’ll have to invest in some dresses!

Italiana47

I pretty much wear leggings and a tank top with a sports bra.

Toodalooaloo

I literally haven’t worn a bra in over a year. Basically I stopped when I was breastfeeding and then just decided bras were bullshit and I don’t need them in my life 😂 I will say I would wear one to the gym, but I haven’t had a gym membership in over 2 years so 🤷‍♀️

Italiana47

Exactly! I stopped breastfeeding about 5 years ago. Since then I've probably worn a real bra less than 5 times! Sports bras are the best!

AquasTonic

It's one of the reasons I put a permanent blanket down on my leather couch. If it's not me, it's my daughter running away in a towel cape after a shower. This is the reason I tell people to call before coming over. Other than that, leggings and dresses are my favorite.

WifeOfTaz

When I was pregnant with my now three month old I absolutely lived in baggy yoga pants (basically pajama pants) and giant t shirts. It’s your house, you’re keeping young humans alive and building one from scratch - you do you!

resetdials

I sleep in a shirt with no pants so sometimes I’ll get up and just never manage to put on pants. My partner calls me Winnie the Pooh lol

Toodalooaloo

Lmao this is exactly what happens to me, glad to hear I’m not alone ❤️

frimrussiawithlove85

I hated putting pants on when I was pregnant

Toodalooaloo

They are so restrictive!! Especially while chasing after a toddler all day lol

frimrussiawithlove85

My first was 15 month when I got pregnant with two.

Toodalooaloo

Wow, I have so much respect for parents of twins, that’s next level parenting!

frimrussiawithlove85

I mean my second lol no twins

Toodalooaloo

Oh hahaha gotcha. My son was 10 months old when I got pregnant again and I am real nervous (and excited) about the first year after this baby comes. How was it for you? I know it’s gonna be challenging, but I love hearing other people’s stories about their experiences.

frimrussiawithlove85

My husband gets 12 weeks parental leave and he took all 12. This gave us time to establish a routine. After that it was ok. My oldest is potty training right now and my youngest just started walking.

Toodalooaloo

That’s awesome! I love that companies are finally giving dads the time they deserve for paternity leave. Two weeks is nothing! What a bunch of malarkey!

BrightFireFly

For those of you who have become dress people - what shoes are you pairing with your dresses? I love dresses but I hate sandals/flip flops when I take the kids to the parks and such because I might end up on a hike or chasing after them.

jujubee_1

I just bought a pair of Bob's, or plain white sneakers.

Raistlinseyes

I'm a dude but cargo shorts are life right now

Toodalooaloo

I can’t wait until cargo shorts come back into fashion for women, me and my hubby with both be rocking them

wolfmoon0

Be the change you want to see in the world!

Raistlinseyes

I choose to believe they've never left the height of fashion.

rittastica

Yeah! I wear tshirt dresses and loose style dresses of varying lengths.. around the house they tend to be shorter lol

jelly-8

Haha I assumed you meant dresses! A loose sundress is so much better in summer

leileywow

Man, I can't be a dress person! Those of you who are dress people, do you typically wear shorts under your dresses? I'm so used to wearing pants/shorts that I'm afraid of flashing panty if I wear dresses lmao

havingababypenguin

There needs to be two layers between private parts and furniture 😂

jujubee_1

Skorts!!! Looks a hair better then pants but I can bend over and sit crossed legged on the ground
