Taste of India in midtown is hard to beat. Absolutely delicious food.
I'm obsessed with Arario in midtown. It's a little pricy though
I hope you're joking. There's Thai, Sushi, Ethiopian, Basque, Indian, the list goes on.
Aye there are so many more options but if they wanna be ignorant that’s cool hahahaha a lot of good food in this town hella good
it's endless, Washoe Public House.
Centro. Liberty Wine Exchange. Great Full Gardens.
There are plenty of options that are excellent.
Check out shawarmageddon before the close forever!
What?! For real? I haven't been in a minute...
I heard a closing announcement a few months ago, but looks like they're still open according to Google. I'm out of the area now so can't confirm.
Supposedly they’re just moving buildings
Tried going this week and it was closed😪
Aladdin’s middle eastern food is pretty great
Royal India, if you like Indian food. Great full Gardens for healthy and delicious mostly American style foods.
I’ll have to try royal Indian thank you! Great full gardens is also great
Ijii or tha joint
Beach hut deli -order a hot sandwich
Tommy’s grandstand- get the pastrami cheeseburger & fries.
Tha joint is terrible bro
I’ve not had this experience there.
I’ll have to try Tommy’s I eat sushi fairly regularly so that one I will always take advice thank you!
Ijji’s KBBQ don’t allow you to eat AYCE if u go there alone. U can only do A la carte.
Tommy’s is closed on Mondays. Recommend for lunch.
Beach Hut Deli's pricing has been getting out of hand. They need a new SCM. They are quite good, but a footlong hot sandwich is around $20/each after tax. With a small tip, chips, and a drink, youre at a $25 (albeit large) lunch.
“The new normal”. Apparently raising wages across the board has side effects that get passed along to the customer. Who could have guessed? /s
They have raised their prices by around 75% on some items since 2012. They certainly aren't paying over $20 hour. Their price increases have been grossly disproportionate as compared to their competitors.
But damn, that Buffalo chicken sandwich is good!
How about Korean food? Hana Garden has the best Korean food in town.
Bjs bbq in sparks, Great Basin, flowing tide, and if you got a hot date, beefys.
Bone marrow from centro or st James brasserie. For a fancy and expensive time, I think the best restaurant in town is Beaujolais Bistro.
Grafted, Bricks, FinBar and Centro are my favorites. Whispering Vines is also good & in Sparks- The Water Bar.
Shawarmageddon middle eastern.
Zagol's Ethiopian food.
Von Bismarck German food. Or brauhaus 701
999 pho for Vietnamese.
Bazaar European deli and cafe for Russian dumplings. Pelmeni and pierogi.
Wild Garlic for pizza.
Churrasco Brazilian steakhouse.
Definitely recommend Thai Lotus. The lunch special is amazing. You get soup, salad, appetizer, rice and an entree for $9.
I like Brauhaus’ food, but their service is inconsistent. Called ahead once to confirm their kitchen would be open, was told yes. Drove there in 10 mins and was told they were closing early when I walked in.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but this happens to me really consistently here. Never anywhere else I’ve lived though.
Nikos Greek Deli
Aladdin’s for shawarma and other Mediterranean goodies
Cafe Masala for Indian, great Thai places like Moo Dang and Original Thai, Nikos for Greek, Kenji’s for Hawaiian tacos/fare.
Edit: Chicago Pizza With a Twist. Tika Masala and Tandoori Pizza. How awesome is Indian pizza?
Off-hand, I would recommend: South Creek Pizza, Hidden Bistro, Kenji's Hawaiian BBQ, Butchers Kitchen: Char-b-que, Squeeze In, Sup, Stonehouse Cafe, Thai Lotus, & Bistro 7.
For Sushi, there are obviously a lot of comparable options, I'd say go off of personal preference/menu choices/price/proximity. I do not think that any sushi restaurant in Reno is head-and-shoulders above their competition. And, to be honest, none of them are anywhere near the quality of high-end al a carte sushi in SF/LV/LA/(even Sacramento).
🤦♂️ google or scrolling down this thread will answer your question
You should come on over to the Taste of Chicago at its new location at 294 E Moana Lane!
Good luck with that
Right? It seems like sushi, Mexican and Chinese is all there really is sadly.
And the Mexican is so hit or miss . Went to a places that put beans and lettuce in a fish burrito. Like, I know no one north of San Diego county knows about the goodness of putting fries in a burrito but I thought everyone knew the only greenstuff that belongs in a fish burrito was cabbage. 😒
I've always liked the Mexican in town (Beto's is my fave) but recently I've been hitting up the taco trucks around town and OMG what a step up. Yesenia is my new obsession. No seafood stuff there though.
Almost every burrito place has one with ground beef, fries, sour crème and pico. It’s. Liked the California Burrito.
Not sure if they are still open or where they are currently located, but Bangkok Cuisine was one of the best restaurants I've been to as far as curry and related foods go. Thai Lotus is also absolutely delicious.
Full belly Deli is good for sandwiches
The taco shop has the best fish tacos I’ve ever had
JJs sushi is in my opinion the best sushi
Ijii is good but overpriced compared to other cities
SCHUSSBOOM BREWING RENO
If you don’t think there are any other options move on to the next town like you did before you came here
I’m from here real bigoted comment tho go off bro.
Im born and raised, bro. We’ve always had lots of options. Get out and explore or cook for yourself if there isn’t something you want
Still kind of the “go back to where your from” comment is a little based and bigoted sorry bro but Reno locals aren’t like you. We don’t claim you.
The north remembers
Archies for breakfast or a burger
Pizza Factory for pepperoni duo pizza, about 1/2 are crisp like bacon
Wagyu beef sandwich from Cappriottis
Johnny’s on 4th…. Best Italian in Reno! A bit ritzy but hey!!! Enjoy!
Brothers BBQ is great, eclipse pizza has some great pizza and great wings. Juicy’s or Beefys has some great burgers. Walden’s has a great breakfast burrito and generally pretty good breakfast. Stone house cafe is nice too but usually super busy. If you want fine dining stuff you could go to Beaujolais. Haven’t been to Great Basin in awhile but I remember that being great. Those are the places that come to mind right away anyway.
Git’r done at Texas Roadhouse there brother. 🤠
