Remember, you don't control how your teammates play, you don't control that the enemy decided to peek while you just looked away, you control how YOU play, as long as you try your best and focus on your game you will get better. You don't control that your aim is worse or theirs is better, but you control how YOU improve. Keep up the grind to get better and you will turn this kd around in no time.
You don't have to go 15 kills each match to be good, a good and smart utility player is often needed on even the highest level of play. You're an asset to your team, don't let people tell you otherwise.
I always keep saying, I’m 20% of the team, so whatever happens I’m only responsible for 20% of it.
And sure, I can be salty about how my teammates fill up their 20%, but that isn’t going to change how they play.
If you want to improve K/D you need to bring your headshot % up, it’s the easiest way to guarantee a kill in the game, I recommend warming up in a T Hunt and practice aiming at head level, put the bots on easy it’s just for muscle memory
I used to have a 2.9 K/D & a 7.0+ W/L, I would be upset if I died more than 3 times in a ranked match.
I started playing with my real friends instead of try hards, I lost my Elo & stats (1.7 K/D & 2.9 W/L now) but I honestly had a better time playing with them than sweats. Your stats don’t even define how good you are, don’t think about deaths or losses as a bad thing because you cannot 1V5 every round and you can’t play your best for hours on end. Ultimately you can be doing amazing but if the enemy team is really punishing you & your team all game, you can’t win by yourself. But with friends, at least you can joke and laugh about it without worry.
By looking at your stats I can see you probably stay alive longer than your teammates, i’d happily pick you on my team than people who roam and die in seconds, Gl & Hf in the future man (:
Kill Objective Surival Trade. A % of the rounds you do either of those. 100% means you managed to do either of those in all your rounds during your game.
Login on [Ubisoft's website here](https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/rainbow-six/siege/stats) and check out your own stats. You can check individual operator stats and KOST will be one of them.
There are various 3rd party options too, especially if you're on PC.
Kill, Objective, Survive, Trade. Its a basically a stat of how usefull you are, as it takes several parameters into account. For example you might not be a fragger but you plant or defuse most of the time, it takes that into account.
You should check out some maverick. I’ve gotten to like him more when I use him to help out the other hard breachers or Flores cause he and thatcher have the same gun
He's who I play almost all the time on attack now just because I love his guns, I'm still trying to practice taking down a reinforced wall with his torch but I never really get the opportunity to use it since we're usually on site already.
I might start playing him a bit less now that they gave finka back her frags cause that was a big reason I played her, I seem to have better luck with frags in this game since I kill myself in almost every other game with them.
Yea I usually don’t like him to take down reinforced walls but to make a hole to destroy bandit, kaids, or mutes with his nades so the better hard breachers can breach. If we need a hard breach I usually go thermite or ace cause it’s just so much faster.
Mavericks guns are awesome tho and getting kill hole kills through reinforced walls is also a really good feeling lol
No it two types of gun control. Sure it’s the same as learning a recoil pattern. But it’s way different to control. I have a 1.3 kd in siege. Can’t hit the broad side of a barn in valorant or csgo
Idk if you actually care, but that’s probably because of bad movement. Having clean movement is absolutely necessary to consistent good aim in cs. Never played valorant so I can’t speak to that.
What’s really wierd about it is people who port the maps over to cs to play them there say they work so much better there than in valorant Ik the warowl did a video on it
Other way round for me, im "capable" in most other shooters, except seige. I'm straight dog and have always been bad. I just enjoy pro league and youtubers now.
CSGO doesn't really build good habits for a game like siege, since hipfire in siege is shit but in CSGO it's impossible to ADS with a large number of weapons, you can't lean, you can't move while shooting
CSGO is terrible because none of that is properly visualized. If you want a great aim for learning to aim, play quake. Otherwise try aimlab or just practice with headshot only in T-Hunt
Just know you are not alone brother. Been playing since the Maverick/Clash season. Love the game, but I’ll be the first to admit I’m garbage. I make sure my team knows that if it comes down to a 1v anything don’t get your hopes up cause it’s over (not that I give up, just my gunfight skills are horrendous).
Siege is a game of learning. First year, map knowledge was so bad I couldn’t find my way out of a paper bag. Default cams? No idea where they were. While my gunfight/aim is still atrocious, my map knowledge, knowing simple stuff like where cams are and where the possible objectives can be have improved enormously.
I’m here for the casual, just to have fun. I could see rank appealing to me if I had a regular stack but even if that doesn’t happen I’m good just enjoying the more chill side of it all.
Question, how many bullets do you take on average to kill an enemy?
Because with a K/D of 1.8, I currently have a similar headshot percentage, but only fire about 3 bullets depending on the weapon, (I don't tend to prefire)
how would one find this stat? Or are you just asking to self evaluate? bc i would have no idea how to answer this. Sometimes I prefire and spray mags for suppression or lucky shots through a wall etc. Sometimes I'm holding angles and 1 tapping, it just depends.
I don't think I would personally be at all able to answer this unless r6 tracker or something had that stat
Lower dpi on mouse. Lower sensitivity a lot. Use your entire arm to aim with wrist making slight adjustments. Lastly get a large mouse pad. For me it takes 16.6 inches to do. 360 turn in game
I'm a day one player, I ranked Silver with 0.4 k/d in Dust Line, my first ranked experience. Now I'm level 350+, Plat since Operation Health with 1.1 k/d . Keep it up!!!
I actually should say that it’s not always true, I am level 200+ with 700+ hours and have 0.4 KD, so sometimes you just suck. It’s ok to suck. I still enjoy the game
Edit: Typed “bit” instead of “not”
What level are you?
In my first ranked season I had a 0.31 KD, two seasons later I had a 1.21 and last season I was 1.45. Exponential growth is very possible.
That’s weird man I had a lvl 37 in 1 of my placement matches lol
Anyway that’s not bad for starting out big learning curve in this game when starting out plus your KOST is almost 50% which isn’t bad keep it up you will definitely improve a lot
Nah bro, my first season I play I get placed Gold 1 with a 0.4 kd solo queuing, almost broke plat with those stats
Fucking love it tho, hilarious as shit
Hello not op but I am a fellow 0.4/.5 k/d here, I actually have friends that stated to my face that they love being my friend but they will never touch ranked with me while some say that they couldn't care less.
Usually if I have a bad game kills wise I try and play info operators so that I still contribute to the team
I was making a terrible joke.
What OP meant was, his favorite thing is to play with friends. I was deliberately misinterpreting the meaning as, "I have more fun than my friends when we play".
Do you suffer from toxic teammates ? I saw you mentioned your aim is shit. So do you get a lot of toxic feedback from teammates? Are you put off from playing the game ?
dont even listen to it man, most the time the people calling you bots are diamond players who drop rank to play against worse people because in actuality they're arse too so dont wanna play against people of the same skill level, trust bro with time and plenty of t hunts and aim tracking you'll be up there bro :)
Would make droning after prep phase (just keep your drone outside until you learn safe preplace spots) a main focus to enter into the building, so you can have initiative to get things done ASAP. Only 3 minutes on the clock, after all. Droning for your teammates in solo queue is a little underrated I think, but it depends on whether they’re going to react off it or not.
What makes you come back? I don’t mean that in a dick way but I seen you’re level 57.. do you love the gameplay? I’m only asking bc if this was 3 years ago, I could understand loving the gameplay but having a .4, with the lackluster gameplay we have nowadays, what keeps you coming back?
Your time alive is pretty good, so you’re more likely doing a service for your team. Even if it means they have to go out of their way to kill you (time wasted on their end) and another target if you’re attacking 👍🏼
Focus on your strengths. When I first started playing I had a 0.6 kd. I met some friends who were plat and I was only silver, so gun fights weren't really an option for me. Instead I focused on my strengths and worked towards being a information guy.
I'd be constantly droning for my friends while going someone like Thatcher or Thermite, so I can help the team. We won so many rounds cos I droned or used my face to check for things, then my team refragged or got something else out of it
Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, you can improve them over time, but neither of them matter as much as having fun. Make sure that you're enjoying yourself cos most of the community makes the npc's in gta look smart.
Siege is a very big game to learn and the tutorials might as well not exist. It's a very 'learn by dying' game which can be discouraging. The best advice I can give is to play with friends and play for fun.
You'll learn through gameplay, but if you have any questions (like counters against Lion for example) then feel free to drop me a message and I'll answer. Whether you do or don't, I wish you the best pushing forwards
Do you care about kd?
I don’t really care about my teammates kd, i just try to improve my own
Remember, you don't control how your teammates play, you don't control that the enemy decided to peek while you just looked away, you control how YOU play, as long as you try your best and focus on your game you will get better. You don't control that your aim is worse or theirs is better, but you control how YOU improve. Keep up the grind to get better and you will turn this kd around in no time.
Get him on the siege sigma grindset
More like ligma mindset
I’ll ligma your mindset
Someone needs to rub one out
I have .7 and everyone I know gives me shit all the time. But I can play well. Kd isn't everything it's good teamwork that wins games
After 2 yrs I have casual kd above 1. So it takes time to learn.
I got 1.04 after 3 years and I’m happy with mysef
technically, if you kill all your teammates then get killed every match you will have a 4.0 K/D. Just saying...
If you play hostage you could get 5.0
That’s a really good mindset more people should have it
If you want to improve K/D you need to bring your headshot % up, it’s the easiest way to guarantee a kill in the game, I recommend warming up in a T Hunt and practice aiming at head level, put the bots on easy it’s just for muscle memory
I used to have a 2.9 K/D & a 7.0+ W/L, I would be upset if I died more than 3 times in a ranked match. Amen
Only stat worth caring about is KOST
Is there a way to check that?
it's right there on the post, from ubi's website
What actually is that?
Kill Objective Surival Trade. A % of the rounds you do either of those. 100% means you managed to do either of those in all your rounds during your game.
Ah ok thank you
Where can you see this?
Login on [Ubisoft's website here](https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/rainbow-six/siege/stats) and check out your own stats. You can check individual operator stats and KOST will be one of them. There are various 3rd party options too, especially if you're on PC.
Im curious what a run of the mill kost would be.
Kill, Objective, Survive, Trade. Its a basically a stat of how usefull you are, as it takes several parameters into account. For example you might not be a fragger but you plant or defuse most of the time, it takes that into account.
Fraggers won’t usually plant, they will cover the planter
Yeah, what I wanted to point out is that usually the k/d is useful if you are a fragger, while kost is more useful if you have more of a support role.
You must blink for a really long time while holding angles
Favorite op for each side?
Thatcher when he’s not banned, Ace when thatcher is banned. Aruni on defense.
You should check out some maverick. I’ve gotten to like him more when I use him to help out the other hard breachers or Flores cause he and thatcher have the same gun
I use him from time to time, i think he might have my most frag grenade kills
He's who I play almost all the time on attack now just because I love his guns, I'm still trying to practice taking down a reinforced wall with his torch but I never really get the opportunity to use it since we're usually on site already. I might start playing him a bit less now that they gave finka back her frags cause that was a big reason I played her, I seem to have better luck with frags in this game since I kill myself in almost every other game with them.

Mavericks guns are awesome tho and getting kill hole kills through reinforced walls is also a really good feeling lol
Mav is quality.
I use him from time to time, i think he might have my most frag grenade kills
Try to play more operators. If you learn to play every operator you probably know what to do if you play against them
I do have every operator unlocked because of ubisoft plus so i try to switch it up a bit every few games
This a good tip.
Why do you think you’ve got a 0.4 kd? (Serious Question)
My aim, i can’t aim for shit lol
Try messing around with sensitivity settings/mouse DPI. And spend some time warming up in t-hunt! :)
Play csgo shit is straight aiming and recoil control
No it two types of gun control. Sure it’s the same as learning a recoil pattern. But it’s way different to control. I have a 1.3 kd in siege. Can’t hit the broad side of a barn in valorant or csgo
Idk if you actually care, but that’s probably because of bad movement. Having clean movement is absolutely necessary to consistent good aim in cs. Never played valorant so I can’t speak to that.
Valorant is just CS with LoL abilities.
Kinda. Recoil system is completely different, although they do try and make it look the same. Valorants recoil relies a lot more on rng than csgo does
Is that why I disliked Valorant's gunplay even more than CS:GO's?
Yep. You and I both.
So I’ve heard. My main reason for not playing is I’ve heard the map design quite bad.
What’s really wierd about it is people who port the maps over to cs to play them there say they work so much better there than in valorant Ik the warowl did a video on it
Yeah that’s true, I just mean the aiming helps a lot
Best way for aiming is siege. Go into a hard t hunt. And only use and dmr that will help your crosshair placement
It does help with crosshair placement though
CSGO is terrible because none of that is properly visualized. If you want a great aim for learning to aim, play quake. Otherwise try aimlab or just practice with headshot only in T-Hunt
Same. Try playing as a support operator to learn the best angles so you're giving yourself an advantage there and don't have to rely on aim so much.
Try to work on pre aim. Keep aiming at head level and it can give you some headshot kills. It should helps you improve a lot in your gunfight.
Question, how many bullets do you take on average to kill an enemy? Because with a K/D of 1.8, I currently have a similar headshot percentage, but only fire about 3 bullets depending on the weapon, (I don't tend to prefire)
Depends on the distance, if their far away it might take me a mag or two to get them if i can see them clearly, if they are up close maybe 5 or 6
how would one find this stat? Or are you just asking to self evaluate? bc i would have no idea how to answer this. Sometimes I prefire and spray mags for suppression or lucky shots through a wall etc. Sometimes I'm holding angles and 1 tapping, it just depends. Lower dpi on mouse. Lower sensitivity a lot. Use your entire arm to aim with wrist making slight adjustments. Lastly get a large mouse pad. For me it takes 16.6 inches to do. 360 turn in game
Because on the top left it says K/D: 0.4
Ah yes of course
Thx IQ
Not so serious question. chimichanga or burrito?
Burrito, any other answer is wrong
My man
A chimichanga is a burrito, but deep fried.
That's why we must choose.
I'm a day one player, I ranked Silver with 0.4 k/d in Dust Line, my first ranked experience. Now I'm level 350+, Plat since Operation Health with 1.1 k/d . Keep it up!!!
Keep working my guy. You improve as long as you try.
I actually should say that it’s not always true, I am level 200+ with 700+ hours and have 0.4 KD, so sometimes you just suck. It’s ok to suck. I still enjoy the game Edit: Typed “bit” instead of “not”
sometimes I'll go hours without even entering the building. just getting killed as I break a window
It does be like that sometimes
I'm terrible at Apex Legends, but damn it's fun regardless
Trust me, gets easier at 300 /s just have fun and that’s all that matters!
Wow. I like this. I don’t think you meant it to be profound, but it is
What do you mean?
He felt it in his balls man
Im feeling my balls rn
Amen
Inshallah my balls are heavenly rn
Wow. This response made me put my phone down for a bit. You should look into writing poetry.
Who told you he wanted to improve
What level are you? In my first ranked season I had a 0.31 KD, two seasons later I had a 1.21 and last season I was 1.45. Exponential growth is very possible.
Level 57 i believe
Then you have a long road ahead of you, if you’re willing to put some work in you can perform significantly better!
I'm level 110 with a 0.6 kd, I'm hopeless lol
Do you need to be lvl 50 to start ranked games?
yes
That’s weird man I had a lvl 37 in 1 of my placement matches lol Anyway that’s not bad for starting out big learning curve in this game when starting out plus your KOST is almost 50% which isn’t bad keep it up you will definitely improve a lot
I remember back when I started and the ranked entry lvl was at 20.
Bro, I remember when it was lvl 0
Back when I started it was lvl 15.
They upped the numbers just recently
It was upped to 50 during steel wave (y5s2) which is a bit over a year ago now lol
Man, try getting a 0.4 kd with a 2.0 win loss. That gets held over you for a while
I have the opposite... Even worse bruv Solo queuing against teams rarely ends well
Nah bro, my first season I play I get placed Gold 1 with a 0.4 kd solo queuing, almost broke plat with those stats Fucking love it tho, hilarious as shit
That's what I say, I solo queue and barely get Plat while having a 1.8+ K/D and playing objective
1.8 kd? Get outta here, it’s possible to get above 1.0? Must be playing a different game
Lol
How do you feel knowing there’s a 0.21 K/D here ?
Well i was once at 0.2 kd so i feel indifferent
Hi Sbeven.
Hi Marty
Do you have fun?
Yep, i have the most fun when playing with friends
I'm sure they're having just as much fun
Hello not op but I am a fellow 0.4/.5 k/d here, I actually have friends that stated to my face that they love being my friend but they will never touch ranked with me while some say that they couldn't care less. Usually if I have a bad game kills wise I try and play info operators so that I still contribute to the team
I was making a terrible joke. What OP meant was, his favorite thing is to play with friends. I was deliberately misinterpreting the meaning as, "I have more fun than my friends when we play".
Tell me about that melee kill
Boxing match with Nøkk
Love to see it
Are ya winning son?
39% of my games yea
"What a fucking sweat" -Person with a 0.275 KD
Lol, I love how people say you’re sweating in unranked when you’re just running around listening to music or a YouTube video
Same but my problems I freak out when I see anyone, turns out shooters aren't for people with lots of anxiety
Do you suffer from toxic teammates ? I saw you mentioned your aim is shit. So do you get a lot of toxic feedback from teammates? Are you put off from playing the game ?
I get called a bot sometimes, doesn’t really bother me tho lol
dont even listen to it man, most the time the people calling you bots are diamond players who drop rank to play against worse people because in actuality they're arse too so dont wanna play against people of the same skill level, trust bro with time and plenty of t hunts and aim tracking you'll be up there bro :)
Glad to hear! This game already suffers from toxicity , happy it doesn’t turn you off from the game itself
Do you wish Iana's dumpy was in your face right now?
Yes
Me too buddy me too
Ahh damn it haha
What fast food store has the best nuggets?
Chick Fil A
I cant eat chick fil a nuggies :[
:(
Guessing you have a Peanut allergy??
Ye
Its why i couldnt be gay
How do you endure?
Just trying to get better as time goes on lol
How does one die 430 times in 153 matches?
Losing almost every gunfight you’re in
I didn't realize it was siege lmao, I thought it was warzone tbh.
Do you play support?
Ubisoft connect says i play support on offense, and utility denier on defense
Well I'm not very good at either so I know that I'm not a support
My kd is 0.3, fuck kd lmao. Just have fun in the game
Do you have fun playing this game?
When playing with friends yes, when not playing with friends it gets boring
Do you drone?
Yeah, most of the time my drone gets shot before i can hide it tho
Sounds like prep phase. Do you at least drone yourself in or drone your teammates in during attacking phase?
Oh, yeah whenever my teammates are just staring into a window i’ll usually throw a drone in and scout the room to make sure it’s clear
I see I see If it’s your aim that’s easily fixable Just literally do t-hunt 2-3 times before you play ranked
All my friends have it and we all have a good time when we play together
you are better than me
He’s on the gear bois
Are you enjoying the game?
Yes
Good
WHY IS IT HIGHER THAN MINE!?
Can you even get out of bed?
No man, i haven’t left my bed in years
Have u ever played with ur monitor on?
Nope
How do I improve to be at your skill level?
Tbh ur kd is better than mine lol. Last I checked it was 0.23
What rank?
Your time alive is pretty good, so you’re more likely doing a service for your team. Even if it means they have to go out of their way to kill you (time wasted on their end) and another target if you’re attacking 👍🏼
Y bad
They die more than they get kills
1. Have you ever aced? 2. How often do you get hate messages?
Nope not yet although i was close, killed 4 guys on their team. From time to time.
Did you steal my stats?
Lots of thunt and mess with your sense until you can keep your sight on people. Always am chest to head level
I started siege playing with a controller on PC because that's what I was used to. This was about my starting stats
¿Do you use headphones?
I don’t because the sounds from this game give me a headache when i use headphones
Lower the volume as much as you can, but seriously this game is %60 sound
Whats the story behind ur one melee kill if you remember?
If i recall correctly it was a 1v1 and me and a nøkk had kept swinging until someone hit lol
What is KOST
I saw a comment saying that it has something to do with the objective, the higher it is the better
Do you solo q? What rank?
I solo q when none of my friends are online, copper last season haven’t placed yet this season
Focus on your strengths. When I first started playing I had a 0.6 kd. I met some friends who were plat and I was only silver, so gun fights weren't really an option for me. You'll learn through gameplay, but if you have any questions (like counters against Lion for example) then feel free to drop me a message and I'll answer. Whether you do or don't, I wish you the best pushing forwards
Thanks bro!
Did you every tried to not engage at all in a gunfight? If you don't fight you can't die and so your k/d can't drop lower.
Who the heck do you play
Have you been thinking about switching to apex? It helped me a bunch
Do you communicate and are you toxic? If yes and no are your answers, I’ll take you as a teammate over just about anyone with a higher K/D 9/10 times.
Why is your kd higher than mine
So you enjoy browsing Reddit and Instagram while you wait for your teammates?
