Felt like sharing my kit, any suggestions or questions welcome

Agilite K19 with their hanger, a Beez radio pouch mounted on a Ferro Wingthing, and a HRT Maximus Placard.

Belt is an AWS SMU with a Dark Angel Medical IFAK, Beez pistol pouches and a double rifle pouch, as well as a KMFJ holster and AWS dump pouch.

Feels complete other than mounting a knife on the wingthing.

Any thoughts?

If you are a trained medic, a medic pouch/pack would be great.

I have my IV supplies (18ga, 20ga, start kits, and flushes) in my hanger as well as my vented chest seals, bleeding control (2x2/4x4, hemostatic gauze, and wound packing gauze)in my left front pouch, and a notebook and some drug calculations and writing tools in my right pocket.

NEVERVAXXING

Are you a medic?

miscbuchanan

Yes

plaguemedic

Where do you work as a medic?

miscbuchanan

The county I do EMS for, we have a group that works alongside the County SERT team and the municipal SWAT teams for tactical medicine. Don’t want to get more specific than that

plaguemedic

No worries, that's enough.

Initial_Cellist9240

Those beeze radio pouches rock. I have the little one for my baofeng (I know.) and I really like the fold out design. I used a razor and lighter to thin out some of the shoccord loops to clear the PTT, headset plug and antenna points better but other than that it’s brilliant and a real unique design

OperatorCreed

Ive got almost the exact same loadput. Agilite k19 3.0 with hrt maximus placard, agikite warfighter cummerbund and amap 3 pack

Russell_Milk858

Sick F/M patches you hypebeast! Seriously though, how do you like the Maximus placard for your stuff? I’m assuming you carry a pack for your third line stuff? I always advocate for a roll1 for my medic teams.

miscbuchanan

Haha thanks man! I enjoy it, it’s got room for all of my stuff so it’s great! I have a Meret bag for all my third line stuff. Never gotten to use a Roll1 but I’ve heard good things.

Cropsman_

More TQs. What shears them shears.

miscbuchanan

I have 2 TQs on me, as well as 2 more in my bag

CansMashed

I know nothing about a medic job, but I can bet a paycheck not one of your coworkers has a multi tool or Swiss army. It also wouldn’t hurt to add another before any type of sheath knife if they do.

miscbuchanan

I have a leatherman sketetool in my pocket every day

CansMashed

Have you looked at pry bars and Mora knives ? Notice I didn’t say a heavy duty knife you can pry with, although I do own a few.

miscbuchanan

I have a halligan available to me whenever I need it since I bought my own while I was a fireman. I haven’t looked into mora knives though.

K19's are cringe Having the radio whip on your strong side is an odd choice. I tried the maximus placard and didn't like it, but if it work for you good for you. You beltline mags are odd too. Is there any kydex insert in them to make reindexing easy or is it just fabric?

miscbuchanan

Stiff fabric. I like the radio on my strong side because I would rather use my dominant hand for changing freqs or if I have to manually input one.

Brilliant_Amoeba_272

Consider getting an antenna relocator or body worn antenna

Cliff_Dibble

I like the slick back of the carrier so you can bring a pack with more gear. What holster is that?

irish-riviera

what plates do you run?

miscbuchanan

RMA 1155s

Open_Compote7592

What side wing thing are you using to keep your radio in place?

miscbuchanan

The ferro wingthing

TRHolsters

Do you have a TQ on your belt?

miscbuchanan

Yes, it has a dedicated spot in the IFAK that I can remove it without having to get to the insert

CansMashed

Based on your shared job description somewhere else you need water bad. Tomorrow you’ll get stuck in one spot for 12 hours and have none.

miscbuchanan

Got the liter Nalgene that’s always full and half a case of water in a truck compartment

CansMashed

Sounds like you have those basics covered. I’m a lover of sheath knives, but I’ll throw you a curve. Look at the Mora line up. Inexpensive and sometimes sturdy, but that depends on the design.
