It’s a shame that about ~10% of people in America were as oppressed as the average citizen of a Soviet Bloc country
I don't think Soviet bloc citizens were banned from drinking from certain water fountains with the penalty of being brutally lynched or having their town ransacked and burned.
Yeah, sure. But you criticize General Secretary Stalin and you'll unfortunately commit suicide by beating yourself to death and shooting yourself in the head seven times.
You're aware the Soviet Union went on for decades after Stalin died, right?
You’re aware that it continued being oppressive after he died, right?
It wasn't even close to what the freaks portray it as. Crack a book. Black people couldn't even vote in the US for a decade after Stalin died. No place has had the workplace democracy the Soviet Union had. The oPpReSsIoN is so high if you don't count minorities, women, the workplace, etc.
Considering I personally know a few people that lived there, I’m pretty well-informed on it. Hope you don’t like freedom of enterprise, freedom of thought, or freedom of expression, because those are absolutely lacking in the Soviet Bloc compared to the USA.
Jeez, people forget that the soviet union only ended 30 years ago - I work with people who's parents were in the Soviet block.
Yeah, my whole Grandma’s side of the family is Czech. She has crazy stories. The two that stick out the most are the priest who was found dead and the time that she got her tonsils taken out with no anastesthia.
You want a source that citizens of the Soviet Union were oppressed?

Black population of the U.S. in the 60's.
