Just think about the tourism money LibRight
By - O_Barbosa
There’s only 2 types of libright. No more. No less.
Monke and Business
Based and business-monke pilled
Libright monke after dispossessing thousands of third world banana farmers so he can have a monopoly on the banana market:
Monke Republic pilled
Based and monke-monopoly pilled
Return to Money
Wait a minute
Why not both
Ooh ooh aah aah return to money
This reminds me of the end quote from “Killing them softly” (2012): ,,Jackie: Don't make me laugh. I'm living in America. And in America, you're on your own. America is not a country. It's just a business. Now pay me.”
Very sad because true
Then why do they call a tuxedo a monkey suit?
I'm sure he'd help me find the answer as to why tuxedos are called monkey suits...
I hope so
I've always wanted to be a Dr. Watson type sidekick.
I’ve always wanted to be a detective but then I learned I have to be a cop first.
What about monke business?
What about business monke ?
I thought it was hookers and under aged
Whoa, when did this happen? By classic convention, Monke is LibCenter, and the two kinds of Libright are business (yellow) and pedo (purple). If I didn’t know any better, I’d say Libright’s trying to appropriate that which is not theirs...
There’s a section of libright which literally just wants to be left alone and live in the woods. I call that… monke
One who purchases their individual liberty, and the to crave it. As it should be
Why not be business monke?
What about the elusive Business Monke?
There is monkey and then there is penguin
Every piece of culture must have a McDonald's ad on it, per our contract.

My money senses are tingling
If we were to revive my country's monarchy, we could make lots of money on tourism to royal places, like in the UK while also getting rid of this corrupt republic thing... Sounds like a win win to me.
Where are you from?
I’m from the hot lands of Brazil
Unironically the Republic of Brazil was the worst thing to happen to it. I'm not particularly monarchist (I just want a competent gov) but the Empire should have stayed in place. If you think Pedro II being deposed was a good thing you are an actual retard.
... yeah if my option is Pedro II or the republic of brazil thats not a hard choice.
Pedro II wasn't even bad, he wasn't some King Louis mother fucker, so they can't even be like "Well, at least we're not as bad as the king was, am I right fellow revolutionaries?"
He was a great statesman for sure
Pedro II was actually good. He was reasonable and loved his country to pieces.
He was couped because he abolished slavery, but he even did it in a way that wasnt "unfair" to the slave owners who "rightfully" purchased their slaves. He said that any children of slaves would be free and no new slaves could be purchased to give time to the plantation owners to swap over to paid labour while not actively screwing them over.
Then the retards turned around and exiled the greatest thing to happen to Brazil pepehands
>If you think Pedro II being deposed was a good thing you are an actual retard.
based and reality-pilled
Didn’t they relegalize slavery??
Dont think so. But the coup was in part fueled by the resentment against Dom Pedro because he outlawed slavery.
Beep. Boop. I'm a robot.

Na verdade sou ancap, mas é completamente inegável que a monarquia foi imensamente melhor do que nossa república
Based and Hoppe-pilled
Weirdly I thought Portugal which is close enough
Pedro II is best Pedro
Ah of course the person who wants to revive their monarchy is a Brazilian.
Good emperors rarely have good heirs.
I'm Serbian and I 100% agree with this model
As an Austrian, let's not repeat that.
You see my bro, the difference is that Austria is a succesful and prosperous Republic while Serbia is a shithole, the only period in history where we were prosperous was the Kingdom era.
I agree thought that politics of that era should be left far, far behind...
Well France has a lot of castle and such that actually can be visited. Like Versailles. But in England you cannot go and visit the queens bedroom.
I can but it’s another mater.
France historical tourism will boosted by 200% if they bring back public guillotine.
Fuck monarchies no deal. Just make your republic not corrupt.
I’m afraid that’s not possible

But we would have to pay taxes to Britain.
No ya don’t, make your own monarchy! Be original!
I'm pretty sure that Canada doesn't pay any taxes to Britain
Based and Pedro II pilled
Wholesome capitalism moment
The point isn’t, that we shouldn’t invest in culture, in fact we absolutely should, not just because of tourism, but that the government shouldn’t dictate/ invest in culture.
Based and fuck the feds pilled

Uber based even, without culture we are not humans, just soulless consoomers. Culture and art is literally what separates humans from animals.
[I'd recommend this Kurzegast vid on beauty](https://youtu.be/-O5kNPlUV7w) turns out beauty DOES have tangible benefits. Humans surrounded by beauty are happier and healthier both mentally and physically. It's why brutalist architecture and urban jungles lead to high rates of depression.
Hate to break it to you, that brutalist architecture was basically all built by govt.
Read Hans Herman Hoppe, friend. You'll be a culture-loving libright in no time :)
Sir, this is a meme sub
I'm sorry, without government there would be no culture? This is bait right? You're looking for an argument so you can say more absurd things to test people's sanity? Government can affect culture but to suggest it 100% dictates culture is asinine.
Eh, like everything it seems like there's a good way to do it and a bad way to do it. Funding museums is a great way to promote culture (while also increasing tourism to your city, nice). Conversely, the gov't directly paying artists to create work seems like it could turn into propaganda in a hurry.
Here in my country we did the second option. It didn’t turn into propaganda, but it turned into corruption.
I'm originally from Montreal, where a business can get fined for not being culturally french enough. There needs to be a limit.
The LibRight part of me is saying *man fuck the govt for interfering with business*, but the AuthRight part of me is more like *hell yeah preserve your culture Quebecois bros*
I rate that comment man stay based
The last group of people I trust to dictate what our culture really is, would be a group of unelected bureaucratic committee members with sociology degrees.
Ye don't want another situation like in Norway were a group would go around and fine people for not making traditional dresses exactly as they were traditionally done in the area they lived in. Doesn't happen anymore but that was some weird shit.
I can’t believe this actually happened. Ridiculous.
Culture should be kept alive by the people, if they do not care then that’s their problem. The government should stay out of it
I may be libright but I also enjoy culture and preserving some of it for the future...
You can be libertarian and care about culture. Economic libertarianism isn’t the same as social libertarianism
That would put you into right unity territory
If it doesn't come from taxes, I'm all in
I mean, im really lib right, but the only reason I'm right unity is because I greatly appreciate and love culture.
I just want building that actually fit the feel of the place. My local council is retarded. The new library they build is a giant silver blob.
I've always wondered what goes through architects' heads.
A library is supposed to be a place where people want to go to study and read. That means it needs to be friendly and comfy. A giant silver blob is the opposite of friendly and comfy. This stuff shouldn't be that hard, but postmodern architecture is a bitch
They also nocked down the old Victorian entrance to our train station and built this ugly metal thing instead
I dont understand why any lib would be against culture. It's our second biggest weapon against the government. The first being recreational mcnukes.
Welcome to Another episode of „the invisible hand deals with it“
It doesn’t. It creates ugly cities and suffocates heritage.
You're thinking of zoning laws and govt ;)
Not at all. Talking about ugly-ass hotels and shit
American chain hotels abroad are often beautiful. It's not like they make shit hotels in the US because they love it. But, maybe since they're not competing on looks, they go for cheap.
They may not look bad but they are completely out of touch with the rest of the city.
Why invest in a particular culture ? Invest in every single culture who remotely approached your country. Hell we could even create new cultures to trick dumb tourists.
All the colours in a paint pallette can be beautiful, but if you mix them together indiscriminately you get nothing but a muddy brown. Cultures need their own coherent spaces in order to thrive.
You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.
Without the government there would not be any culture.
Uhh what? Sarcasm?
Reality. Versailles was built by order of the King of France. Monarchs influenced artstyles. The Renaissance spread thanks to nobility patronage.
This is what keeps me from going full lib.
I like culture. I want someone to cultivate it.
>Implying that only the rich have culture
Not so much that there wouldn’t be any culture, more that the elites pushed and influenced the culture in a certain direction.
The good direction
It\`s kinda true, authority breeds nationalism, nationalism breeds authority.
I think China figured this out after it was already too late
Taiwan still exist
The way to earn money and keep culture is to make sure it’s extremely hard to genuinely integrate into but very, very very interesting so that many people visit your country for tourism.
Me who liked culture before I had to invest in it
Once automation destroys competitive production in most industries via abundance culture and social investments will be one of the few spaces worth while.
I moved from Boston to Seattle a decade ago and remembered hearing their "history" being only 100 years old or so. At first I scoffed. But then I realized if you don't preserve your history now, you won't have it later.
Then the assholes in city hall cleaned off the wall of chewing gum
Culture is very important. It lowers costs of business operation and risks, it increases productivity. I think low culture is why some countries are so much poor.
When money comes Marching Home again...
Fuck tuorism. Yeah, it's profitable but it corrupts culture like nothing else, turning it into another product to be fladerized, packaged and sold to masses of braindead coomsummers.
Also, tourists are fucking annoying.
The next panel
Libleft: "So make sure to come to the all new Star Wars theme park featuring over 2 attractions and dozens of shopping opportunities for all your CONSUME needs! And get ready for next year when we shall unveil the all new Marvel themed park with it's very own Funkopop factory on site!"
globalism will doom mankind, not just culture
Tourism is one of the biggest cancers of the modern age.
Thank you for pointing this out... What the fuck happened to making fun of tourists? I guess they rebranded themselves as travelers, and now they think it's cool. I see all these retards on Facebook posting their pictures in front of the Eiffel Tower thinking it's badass, and Im just like... You're a fucking loser. All you had to do was buy a ticket... It's not an accomplishment.
Yeah, fuck cultural exchange, novelty, history, and discovery, am I right fellas?
Flair up, you fucking retard.
The majority of people will never leave their country. Compartivley it is to most.
Nice argument, but it's invalid because you are unflaired
I‘m sorry but culture is like the most fascinating thing there is
Compare European cities with American ones and you‘ll see what I mean (no offense tho)
I didn’t find the time to exactly determine what flair to choose
I‘ll do it as soon as I have time
None taken here. Although I will say that the Southwest has some really fucking amazing culture that gets overlooked a lot because "hoohaa desert wasteland."
When you're in a place where the culture is intertwined with the location and people, it's a feeling unlike any other, and one that, unfortunately, I think most Americans won't ever fully experience. And that non-experience leads into thinking it's not important and preservation doesn't matter
And that’s why auth unity > right unity
Authleft literally destroys culture by design
By design how? See, I flair as centrist but I probably am a bit more left economically and a bit more auth. Yet I don’t want to flair auth-center or auth-left for maybe obvious reasons.
Moderate authleft can be fine, but far totalitarian left destroys culture (Stalinism, Maoism, North Korea...)
Oh definitely. That’s why I would never flair up as authleft. And why I don’t flair up as auth center maybe should be clear.

No, nooo not like that!!
Based and money pilled.
Libright would rather construct modern monstrosities for "tourism" than preserve old buildings.
Based libright reads Hoppe and knows culture is important to maintain a free society.
Eh where I live there's nothing worth traveling to see
Auth right is when culture
Ah yes treat our culture like a fucking investment. What happens when it becomes unprofitable? Capitalism will sell out in a heartbeat
Culture is America's number 1 export.
I don’t get why Reddit is so pro globalization when globalization at its core is a far right concept
Culture is one of the building blocks of society, without it a society really struggles.
Based and Fuck Globalization Pilled
Please especially in historical film industry. Sometimes I got bored and thirst for random movie in random settings.

Culture is important to us too. More important than profit.
Based culture please authright
Culture is a living, amorphous thing. It should not be artificially destroyed, nor should it be artificially frozen in time.
does that include museums?
Museums don't freeze and suppress the cultural zeitgeist like conservatives want to. They put slices of history on display with explanations on what these things mean.
If you want more culture you lower taxes so you have more disposable income
Modern mass-culture is degenerate as fuck.
Circuses and Bread my man
Ah yes, libright == money
Didn't libright just pay hundreds of millions for nfts?
Its okay because its make economy grown
You do realise, most of cultural monuments were built because rich people wanted to have beautiful things?
That's a bit cynical, imo. Rich people wanted to have beautiful things, but they also wanted to preserve their heritage and demonstrate their culture. The Arc de Triomphe wasn't built just because someone rich wanted to build something cool, it was built specifically to honour fallen soldiers through the grandeur of Roman architecture because of Rome's historical and cultural significance.
I mean culture is built by money and cheap labour
Culture is like the environment, protecting it is a good in-of-itself. The beauty of the thousands of cultures across the world shouldn't be commodified or protected simply a means of money-making, but because the continuation and continued development and evolution of these cultures is a good for humanity for the diversity of viewpoints, stories, aethestics, values, societial systems and more.
To care only so-as that you can make money off of it is such a hollow viewpoint.
Question tho, what exactly is American culture? I feel like it’s too diverse and vast to have any specific thing. Like the UK it Europe with their monarchs and history. Or India, China, Africa etc.
the fuck is this a game of civ?
I’ll always consider Nietzsche as libright. So culture is on our side.
Civ 6 moment
City centers don't look as rich and pleasant now because they're not reserved for the elite anymore.
I hate it when right wingers say they care about culture while putting money over culture. Conservatives cry, piss, and shit their pants about how the arts is dominated by leftists while discouraging everyone from pursuing the arts.
Culture can't be outdated, or at least if we think it is, then I'm worried about the times to come.
Tourism culture is still cringe tho. It turns cultures into commercialized parodies of themselves. That's what happened to Sparta under the Roman Empire and with modern Capitalism driving it, it will be worse.
In the end tourism still damages culture. Look anywhere in the world and see what happens when a place becomes a popular tourist spot. Foreigner capitalists move to exploit the labor force. Traditional shops are replayed by extravagant hotels and souvenir shops. Restaurants cater to wealthy Western tourists instead of the local populace. Bali is a f\*cking shitshow now and full of trash because of tourists. I avoid it like the plague.
