Looks great! The only thing that stands out to me is the kind of jarring color transition between dirt and sand but I'm not sure what other options you had there.

Sadly, this palette is really limited. I did not want to make some changes there and have it - let's say - more challenging :)))

Exactly! :) Having all these restrictions is very challenging - I ended with 24 colours on this image. But I had a version with the pure pico-8 palette as well.
