Does Long Barrel decrease recoil?
By - TheFishieBoy
Sometimes it does, but the reason people use it is because it increases damage ranges and muzzle velocity.
Oh, ok. Thank you very much.
Very slightly, I don't remember what other stats post nerf but it increases one or two of the miscellaneous stats that controls recoil for ADS, while for negatives it impacts stats that control hipfire iirc.
It's gonna be *much* less effective than Muzzle Break or Compensator though, if you're gonna use it use it for the longer min damage range, up to 50% more on ARs/LMGs/Carbines.
It just makes your guns better at longer ranges by increasing the damage range and muzzle velocity (both can be viewed in advanced stats). Use a compensator or muzzle brake to decrease recoil effectively.
Note: long Barrel decreases recoil very very slightly.
So maybe I should use long barrel on large maps and use compensator on close range map?
It used to but I think they changed it to slightly increase recoil
well not always, the only reason its even used is it increases range and velocity, sometimes even gives a multiplier or rename the gun, but at some guns it actually increases the recoil, if you look for something reducing recoil use muzzle brake for upwards recoil and i think folding grip for sidewards
On some guns it will decrease recoil very slightly, but on others it could decrease recovery time, like on the 1858 Carbine. It makes that thing much less useable due to muzzle flip.
It used to, not anymore (ok maybe barely).
Slightly but it's main feature is increasing range
