I submitted my application yesterday through studentaid.gov and I was notified of a recalculation tonight by myfedloan. I even double checked to make sure my IRS records are correct.
That seems really fast for them. I personally would doubt they did it that quickly. I would call again if you have time and ask if the recalculation was processed, and if they say yes, tell them to submit it for a re-check.
You’re not paying currently, correct? Payments are paused through August. So you have a few months to get it sorted out. It will get fixed, you may just need to be persistent.
If you’re with fedloan, there should be a status bar for income recertification requests on the main page. I haven’t done one in a while, but I believe it’s near the loan history box.
Have they processed the IDR recalculation? Was this just FedLoan saying they would take another look or did you resubmit using studentaid.gov?

I was thinking it maybe just a delayed message from the earlier recalculation. Here’s hoping. I’m on the hook if they don’t.
