Could it be your sciatic nerve? I get terrible sciatic nerve pain in my right leg, from my butt to my toes. Feels like I need to excessively stretch my leg out really hard or aggressively rub the back of my thigh/butt cheek. If it might be sciatic nerve pain, there are stretches you can look up and try.

No I’ve had that before it’s different it’s cramps and tightness on both sides

kel174

Maybe it has to do with a pinched nerve in your back? Or could have something to do with your hips possibly

IndependentFun6441

No I had MRI it’s all muscle and they can’t figure it out it’s awful.

I get this but more commonly in my hands, though often my legs as well. I know it really really sucks and I'm sorry you're suffering with it. This is something that's heavily associated with POTS but not necessarily caused by it. There are a lot of symptoms most POTS patients suffer from that won't necessarily go away with a blood pressure mediation if that makes sense. You're unfortunately a complicated mess of symptoms both caused by and associated with your POTS. In this case you'd most likely want to see a neurologist to get your nerves checked out to start.

I have Qsart and punch biopsy but not until December but neurologist said SFN won’t cause these symptoms

Just when my electrolytes are low. Or when I’ve been pushing myself physically too hard.

Just had all my electrolytes checked they are normal

Get your hips looked at. I had this kind of pain and at first was told sciatica and did the exercises and it only got worse. Then went to ER and got X-rays laying down and were told hips were fine. Finally got referred to a orthopedic doctor who took X-rays standing up and showed me exactly where my problems were and what progression would be. Had to do cortisone shots for one year per insurance then for a 2nd year due to pandemic and no elective surgeries. Finally had them done in fall of 2021. Almost back to normal. Still have some pain in right and going for my annual checkup but they are like 100% better on left and 90% to 95% better on right side. Hope you figure it out!

IndependentFun6441

Did it feel like muscle cramps and tightness all the way into your feet?

Neogeo71

Yes. Pain across lower back concentration near the spine and all the way down both legs to my toes. Sometimes I could barely walk. I never considered it was my hips because the majority of pain was not in those areas. I started feeling crazy, praying it was not cancer but it took half a dozen trips to doctor until they finally gave me a referral to the orthopedic specialist.

IndependentFun6441

Wow ok!!! I see pain management this week I’ll ask about that. I started thinking I have peripheral artery disease. I am in middle of work up for small fiber neuropathy but doc said it wouldn’t cause that kind of pain.

Neogeo71

I hope you get it figured out. Medical Science is far from perfect. You need to be your own best advocate. You know when something is not right. Good Luck to you!

IndependentFun6441

Yeah they definitely hate that I advocate for myself. I’m a nurse so I think they don’t like that.
