Man, the Columbus looks extremely "dieselpunk". I wonder how annoying it was for passengers with the lowered funnels though. The after decks seem like they'd be perpetually covered in soot. Wonderful photograph though, thanks for sharing!

Yeah, they lopped off part of her funnels to better match her new fleetmates, *Bremen* and *Europa*.

She may have been a downgrade from the Ballin Trio, but in that picture, the Columbus looks STUNNING

I am still doing research. A cousin was a steward on the Columbus when she was scuttled to avoid capture. Interesting bit of family history.
