Margolia… you can’t mix Margaret and Magnolia I wont allow it. I don’t hate Ivene, tbh. Don’t ask me why. Marmin definitely reminds me of vermin or something lol I thought you couldn’t make Opal worse? But you had to make it… flowerier. No. No to Krinnie.

dg313

Right? Vermin or mermen.

icyeupho

To be fair I gave the name Marmen to a mermaid in a story I wrote lol

vanillabubbles16

YES

TheOrderOfWhiteLotus

Charmin toilet paper.

Zenspen

Marmin makes me think of marmalade

vanillabubbles16

True!

[deleted]

i was deadset on naming my first born daughter “Anna-Josh” when i was younger. I have no idea why

aquarianash

Does it have anything to do with TLC's 19 Kids and Counting? (TW for SA/CSAM if anyone looks it up)

[deleted]

no i just thought it sounded nice

icyeupho

That makes me think of Anna Todd who wrote that famous Harry styles fan fic thay got turned into a movie

jemmaxgarnet

When my sister was like 3 she named her bitty baby Teaparty

icyeupho

The patriotic choice

jemmaxgarnet

We actually grew up in Boston too 😁

reboot119

i named my bitty twins “baby boy zero” and lucy. and no he couldn’t go by zero. had to be the full name.

Greenmntn_Burkie

My cousin had a baby doll named "Baby's First Christmas" lol

howlingDef

I had a webkinz siamese cat as a kid and decided she was too pretty for any name that exists already, a name had to be made for her that was just as pretty as she was. So, I named her Salonia.

bbsydney

I’ve known two Saloni’s in my life. So it’s very close to a “real” name!

icyeupho

Its bold and I kinda dig it

dmmeurpotatoes

My kid is great at naming people. Currently have toys named: - popsho - chewby - geral - lydia - yoga - freesha - georgia - lukey - lennon - pennon - stitch marker

vanillabubbles16

At least some of these are real names!

pizza__rollz

Stitch marker is the best one though

dmmeurpotatoes

She has informed us that she would like a little brother and she would like him to be named Tin. She's gonna make a killing setting up a baby name consultancy.

hellorubberducky

They’re creative names! I just used to call everything Madeline because I loved the movie so much. Zero creativity!

catied710

These are gold. I love Yoga and Pennon.

NonameTheRabbit

> Freesha Her last name better be Vocado

TheOrderOfWhiteLotus

Heard a mom calling her son “Reddick” in Buy Buy Baby today. Wtf. (I totally made up that spelling, I have no idea lol but it sounded like that).

TchaikenNugget

I have a friend whose dog is named Reddic; other than that, I've never heard the name before.

twogvio

When I was little I named my teddy bear Nikolyn

icyeupho

Kinda digging it

ilovepaninis

Nikolina is an actual name

twogvio

Yeah I know but I made Nikolyn to be a masculine name

clp_53

I know a nikolyn !

twogvio

Wait for real 😂

clp_53

Yes! She’s lovely 😊

Frozen_Feet

My proudest moment as a kid was making up the name Niquisa. I thought I sounded beautiful. Adult me, not so much, but I could have done much worse.

icyeupho

That reminds me of nesquik lol

thequeenofspace

I named my first Barbie Piccolo

DaisyMaeMalfoy666

Growing up my favourite names were Ava and Lia so I put them together to make Avalia 😂

2gaywitches

As a kid I wanted to name one of my future kids Orkenga (I, too, was convinced that was a real name). I don’t remember how or why. It sounds like a spice

tyylmao

as a child i had imaginary friends named Boybat (he was a boy, no connection to any definition of bat though) and Teeza, and my teddy bear was called Brownze. definitely some unique ones

megllamaniac

I wasn’t particularly creative… I had a doll named Sad Baby because I thought she looked sad 🤷🏻‍♀️

greysterguy

I have a stuffed seal named Scrimblo. And a tiny plush duck named Little-Eyes Ricky, but Ricky is a real name so it's not *as* weird. (Little-Eyes Ricky is also meant to match with Big-Eyes Donald, a Donald Duck plush my cousin got me for my birthday w/ WAY bigger eyes than most Donald plushes)

icyeupho

Shout out to Scrimblo. Im totally using that somewhere lol

NonameTheRabbit

SCRIMBLO!! You were ahead of your time with that one

[deleted]

Marmin reminds me of Marmite which is amusing

JoChiCat

Honestly, these are pretty good compared to some Influencer Baby Names I’ve seen. They’d be great for a futuristic/post-apocalyptic type story, to show how society has kind of mutated over time. *Almost* normal, but just a bit off.

WayDiscombobulated63

I thought I made up the name Madalena. It was my stuffed ballerina mouse - somewhere between Madeline and Angelina (for the ballerina reference, obv).

Limeila

These are better than half the names on NN

Little_Derp_xD

When I was younger I named one of my dolls Bobson, and also (at the time) planned to name one of my future children Bobson.

Wanna-BeDirector

I was slightly normal with names when I was younger, Webkinz were usually things and pop culture references (Wheezy the Chihuahua and Rocky the Raccoon come to mind), and then I had a weird obsession with the name Anastasia, which is weird, because I'm 100% certain I hadn't seen the movie at that age.

icyeupho

Anastasia's a great name. I liked it far before I saw the movie too

Wanna-BeDirector

Marie was another name I used a lot for characters

willoughbydreams

I have a Build-A-Bear hippo named Jeam. Like denim jean, but with an M at the end.

amylorene10

My favorite is Magalie and Emmalie

NonameTheRabbit

Marmen reminds me of marmots. Marmots are cute, but that name really isn’t.

NonameTheRabbit

I was hilariously creative when naming my toys and imaginary friends. I had a minor imaginary friend that I named “Varovani” after a word that I saw on the back of some random household object. I thought it sounded beautiful. Years later I found out that “varování” just means “warning” in Czech. Varovani was a red squirrel supermodel. She OWNED that name.

Smart_Alex

I had a stuffed rabbit named Mansel

icyeupho

Why was my first thought Charles Manson? Lol

Smart_Alex

I was really little, like under 3 y.o. I had 2 large rabbit stuffies aearing fancy clothes (like something from Beatrice Potter.) There's pics of me as a newborn sandwiched between them. I named the girl Sally, and the boy was Mansel. I apparently was ADAMANT that I wanted his name to be Mansel. Not Manny, not Hansell, MANSEL
