Fuck the apes, fuck the meta verse
The idea is cute, many of the people excited for it are good genuine people. But it will be abused, controlled and eventually run by some of the the biggest/greediest/most ruthless companies on the planet. I love the idea of crypto. I also realize that this push for it isn’t as organic or empowering as many would be led to believe. Mark my words, this is all about getting people to eventually accept government issued digital dollars and the idea of owning nothing in real life and being happy with digital everything. When you have corrupt billionaires and mainstream media pushing for average people to invest in crypto it becomes pretty obvious the endgame isn’t “fucking the man or bringing it to the banking system” quite the opposite. I thought it was all a crazy conspiracy myself until I dug. The WEF is openly admitting at this time where this is all headed, and it ain’t good. It’s a shame because the idea has so much potential to be used for the betterment of humankind. But we both know deep down that’s not going to happen. Enjoy the good days while they last. I truly hope I’m wrong.
Damn. This is like a major warning before doomsday.
Apes will not be the next metaverse project. What makes them unique is they are a well run NFT with exciting promos, airdrops, events, ect.
Now, as they try to make a video game (metaverse is a video game), they will have less of a moat. The competition is much stronger, with companies valued in the billions with teams of decades experience and funding. Most of their games flop, so do you wanna bet that the new team that just set up shop in the hottest market will go on to make one of the top games of this decade? Doesn’t add up
It's true that the NFT space is going to be filled in a few years time with actual big productions and not just JPEGs with future promises which will make things interesting.
BAYC and Yuga just have this punk rock energy that the big boys can't seem to penetrate though. Even RTFKT with CloneX and the backing of Nike can't come close. They will build insane things and have basically executed perfectly to this point, but it just doesn't matter.
People are attracted to weird new things that have a mystique around them. Look at goblintown.
Edit: why did this get downvoted?
They are not weird my friend. They are assets, valuable assets. Just like bitcoin or Ethereum is. BAYC, MAYC, and even crypto punks have recorded steady growth recently. It even gets better, Unique Network plans to fractionalize NFTs to make them affordable, and more people will buy for sure. Floor prices will sky. Watch this space, don't miss out on the beautiful opportunities.
Lol I've been in it since March 2021. Weird is a compliment.
LOL. I see.
Dead within 24 months?
A lot of Non Disclosure agreements and free apes to celebrities to Promote the project doesn’t hurt ..
"There's a conspiracy theory!"
RRBAYC is the only bored apes we care bout
What is the story with BURNBAYC?
Some racist performance artist sold fake nfts with stolen art to an army of idiots who are now spamming nonsense to try to pump their bags
A nazi foundation?
they are a just a force to recon with
Stop posting bullshit NFT posts. Clearly biased and non holder.
Who cares how it became a foundation? In fact, the only foundation they had was the overblown price, attracting the wealthy, and the first come - first serve basis. Other than that, the project, in terms what metaverse should look like - is trash. Even right now speaking, there are way better, way more attractive projects, that have already been doing that long before they came into scene.
What's really fucked with projects like these, is that usually they offer nothing new, and just ride the trend, absorbing all the worth around them, just because they're that "one" project.
