Imo there’s gonna be a top tier TE that comes out of this draft. Probably gonna be either McBride or Dulcich
I have Jelani Woods as the future TE1.
I'm a really big fan of Cade Otten and Chigo. But yeah man, that statement was just in regards to pre-draft expectations (of draft capital spent). None are expected to go round 1 and definitely not top-15 like there are one or sometimes two of in many drafts.
Do you think Ruckert has that top-tier potential? I feel like I've seen that at one point he was expected to be the top TE of his draft class.
Ya I think he does, he has a super well rounded skill set too.
Cool, thanks for the response. I haven't been able to get a good read on him and that was my main question, is the potential there or is a lack of it the main reason he isn't normally talked about.
Seems like the lack of participation in drills has just prevented anyone from getting excited about him.
I feel like he’s just that type of player tho, like everything is good but nothing pops. He’s just solid and I guess it’s a little more boring.
Just tell me which one played basketball in college and I’m drafting him in the 5th and developing him into an All Pro
Nick Muse is the guy, of course practically the last one I Googled.
Nick lettered in baseball, basketball and track & field.
LOL that would be my guy. Be gone Jelani Woods! Nick Muse in the 6th to the Bengals and becomes the next Antonio Gates. There isn’t even information for him or a grade on nfl.com 😂😂
Here you go, for what it's worth he made it on Brett Kollmann's TE list.
Bahaha! So true... I think there are a few. Actually, crap I can't remember who it was. I'll try a few more names and get back to you in just a moment
Thanks! Appreciate your work in general this is great stuff
Thanks. It was a bit tossed together late so I've got a few things I'll fix up next year but, I wanted to at least get it out there.
Yeah I know the feeling with that. Because of getting things in place last year I think I was more prepared this year. I’m still going to be maybe 14% right at best but it feels more rewarding now 🙂
Right lol. Don't forget to put your rose tinted glasses on prior to, the draft, and enjoy it!
Tough year to enter the draft as a TE. Here’s a list of guys that may or may not get drafted, some definitely won’t, who I think should be on your radar. I am not including any guys on the list in the post except for this first one!
**Rodney Williams** – Appears to be a really nice move tight-end prospect. He himself describes his blocking abilities as “willing”, and he certainly profiles as someone who should be able to block – which just adds to his versatility which is always important on a roster. He did recently turn 24 years-old.
**Nick Muse** – Strong, quick, fast, tall & heavy. Another move TE w/ better prospects in the H-back role.
**Jake Tonges, Isiah Macklin & Jace Williams** – Appear to be receiving TE’s and not much more … Tonges looks the most like a traditional TE, physically.
**John Mitchell** – A mix of Rodney Williams & the receiving TE’s. Played WR in college so, he appears to be a project at move TE. Interesting guy that I’d be excited to see on my teams practice squad.
Can’t overlook Teagan Quitoriano, Andrew Ogletree & Thomas Odukoya.
Why isn’t Chigoziem Okonkwo a speed demon? Ran a 4.52
Limitation of the methodology (not purposeful / for any practical reason). I stated the list in the post is based "solely" on Pro Day data. Chigo didn't run a 40 Pro Days, at least not as of when I captured the data.
He got a write up for my combine observations :)
Ahh sorry I’m dumb lol
Lmao! Nah, easy to overlook that. I try to make it clear because I understand many are going to brief past that fact while getting to the good stuff lol.
I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like Charlie Kolar is pretty underrated. Good size, good athleticism, and solid production as well.
Lucas Krull also looks like he could have some upside based on his the data you have here.
