Who will win the NFC East this coming year? Try not to be biased
By - PurpleHawk222
Anyone who voted WFT is not a fan of an NFC East team. Everyone here knows we don’t do repeat winners
What if they change their name before the season starts? Has the WFT figure out how to break the curse??
We're Washington team football now
It’s kind of weird to me that they haven’t changed their name by now. They’ve had about a year to sort it all out and they still haven’t come up with anything. It almost feels like they’re just hoping people forget about it and accept WFT
Dan Synder is too cheap to pay that lawyer who copywrote all the Washington football team names. Such a skinflint.
While I don't disagree with the cheapness, that dude would have basically been taken behind the woodshed in court, and I COULD see Snyder doing it out of spite.
A big part of copywriting common names is proving that you are actively using it for business purposes, and he would have been destroyed over that.
He is using it for peewee football teams ! That is what is so great about it.
It's funny, but he'd get steamrolled in court.
After this season. It's not a quick process. They've not only have to survey and whatnot to figure out what will most likely be the best choice among the fans for marketability, but also once they narrow the list down to a couple of choices there's a ton of behind the scenes legal work to go with it.
WFT is a placeholder while they do their due diligence with market research. You don’t just change the brand name of a multi-billion dollar company in less than a year. It’s pretty alarming and sad how many people don’t realize that.
Exactly why I went with my #2 which was my biased choice of course.
i was about to vote for them, had this exact thought, and changed it to the giants
I'm not so sure. As weird as it would be and despite the curse, I think WFT has a pretty good shot to repeat. Strong defense, strong o-line, great WR1 and solid WR2 and 3, very impressive RB1. And people forget how well Fitz was playing last year before getting benched. It's admittedly an imperfect metric but he was the 6th ranked fantasy QB when he was benched!
While I'm predicting that as well, the same thing was said about us in 2018 and the cowboys in 2019
They have a tough last 5 games being all divisional games. It's really going to come down to those who wins this division.
The streak will break eventually.
How can anyone be biased when last year it was "Why don't you win this year" "No no no, I couldn't" "Maybe they'll take it" "No, they are trying to tank" "Yeah, but so are we"
You could tell me any team won and I wouldn’t be surprised. I think least likely is Cowboys but it could easily be them.
least likely is eagles 100%
Could just be the homer in me but WFT is the consensus number one here yet we had to purposely lose to them last year.
I agree with this take. Giants beat them both match ups last year.
Completely unbiased, but I agree
I am going with the Giants. I like their roster and Dallas's schedule combined with the number of new players they're adding of defence will probably start slow and improve. I really like the WFT's roster but this division doesn't do repeat winners and Philly to me is a year or two away from competing, unless Jalen Hurts goes godmode.
Philly is not two years away from competing. The only reason their defense wasn't a laughing stock is because even they looked competent next to Dallas defensively last year.
I think its gonna be either WFT or NYG, with the cowboys being a dark horse candidate (especially if Dak comes back healthy and hungry). I know people are strong on WFT but im going with the Giants since no team can win two years in a row in this division. I don't think the Eagles have a shot but who knows they could always surprise.
Since the Eagles don't have a shot, that most likely means they'll win the division this year..... The rest of the teams in the division will implode due to injuries again.
This is very true, like most Philly teams, the Eagles best when they're the biggest underdog
I really like the spot we are in this year tbh. Nobody expects anything, and the pure energy of Sirianni flowing through the team will prevent any and all injuries.
If Jalen balls out we got a shot
We also couldn't possibly have an easier away schedule (Atlanta, Carolina, LV, Detroit, Denver, and the Jets). All the tough opponents will be home games. If Hurts is the real deal, I can legitimate see us barely winning the division. I just doubt we place 4th.
I voted WFT, but I honestly think there's enough uncertainty that any one of them could win without being a particularly big upset.
The only exception to that I would say is the Eagles, unless their new coach is a godsend.
Yeah, definitely the least likely, but honestly even that I'd put in the "stranger things have happened" category.
Lmao who's out here voting for Philly
I voted for ya’ll and then had to chop off my finger.
Yea, they're the only team with a proven 'good' QB. Most years that's enough.
Don't you dare bismirch Fitzpatricks good name lol
He just went 10-6 so now he has to go 5-11 to offset that. Granted that may still be enough to win the NFC East
Remember 17 games this year
Your giving Fitzy a bit too much credit, Fitz won about 5 games including the Braille Mary.
Can I have it
I think Philly is the most trash team on paper, so by NFC East rules, they're going to win the division and a playoff game.
Some men just want to watch the world burn
Iggles fan here, I voted for Washington haha
I think Washington has the best team, but nobody wins the NFC East in back to back years. I voted for the Giants because they’re the best of the 3 shittiest teams in the shitty division.
I guess we’ll find out
Not me, we may be dumb but we're not stupid
Eagles fan here. I think Washington or Dallas will win (if they figure out the defense), but I voted for Philly baby! Fuck you, go birds!
NY is a better team than Dallas
They have a good offense, and an exponentially better defense.
This is a two horse race between Washington and NY
I think Dak’s crazy yardage made people forget the Cowboys record with him was really bad still. Like still on pace to be last place in the division bad.
I believe 1-3 before he went down.
Even worse it was 1-4. There's a strangely high number of people that think the Cowboys were bad due to injury and not because the defense is just bad.
Yeah, and I get that their O-line was decimated by injuries, but that has been a continuing trend for them, over the past few years they have done a great job acquiring playmaker, especially on offense, but the game is won at the line of scrimmage, and their defense has been declining. Their roster is really not balanced.
They know something we don't
Me. You're all gonna be surprised. It won't be long until Jerruh is playing rock paper scissors with Dak to try to copy Sirianni's success.
I’m a dallas fan but idfk giants look like a dark horse to surprise everyone this year
Not the Eagles.
If I were to put money on it, I'd say Dallas.
40% Dallas, 30% WFT, 30% NYG.
No repeat winners! Dallas 50%, Giants 49%, Eagles 1%, WFT 0%
25% for everyone
45% dallas, 40% giants, 15% eagles, 0% wft
sorry, no repeat winners. it’s the rules of the nfc east
As of 2004
This year could be like the AFC east last year. One team goes far in playoffs, one does mediocre, one barely misses playoffs, and the other doesn’t do well
That being said, I could put them in any order and still not be surprised at what will happen
I’d say WFT is favored followed closely by NYG and then DAL and then the Eagles shouldn’t even be considered let’s be honest.
I think WFT and NYG are close. Both had great off seasons, and both had very good 2nd halves last year. I think NY takes it because the NYG still had a better off season IMO than WFT, and they beat WFT 2X last year, in fact Daniel Jones has never lost against WFT, and those 2 games could determine the division.
Danny Dimes and SaQUAD Barkley taking it this year. Gotta protect the NFCE streak.
This division doesn’t do repeat winners. WFT won’t be In first place. I don’t trust Daniel Jones or Cowboys defense. So I’m picking the eagles
Call me delusional but I kinda feel like it’s a complete toss up this year. WFT should be the best but their QB is Ryan Fitzpatrick. Dallas defense could drag them down again, but with Dak they have a shot. Giants have plenty of offensive fire power but I don’t think Danny Dimes is the answer.
The Eagles are the biggest question mark by far. We have a rookie head coach and 2nd year QB who’s shown flashes of greatness but has also struggled. I’m not saying we’re even going to be good enough to win a playoff game, but if our O-Line stays healthy I think we have a good as shot as any.
I personally dont think it'll be the eagles, but having a new HC and a QB who doesnt have much film on him does leave the season open to some surprises. I honestly expect it to be a close season much like last year.
Gotta be WFT, the rest of us are boom or bust potential. That WFT d-line is turning nasty
Eagles seem like their roster lacks depth just about everywhere.
Dallas looks great on offense, but Dak is coming off an injury and the defense literally got worse over the off-season roster wise, perhaps they might be as shitty but idk.
Washington seems like the favorite but the Fitzpatrick experience historically hasn't resulted in division winning teams.
New York has a top 10 defense with plenty of offensive firepower, but the QB/OC/OL are all questionable. I do think it's fair to say that all three however improve from last year.
Actual unbiased opinion: I'm taking New York. I think DJ should step up at least a little bit, and the schedule isn't as brutal as it's been in the last 4 ish years.
Alright now tell me why I'm dead ass wrong
How is Washington an option? Until an East team can win back to back again, I refuse to believe it's possible.
I have an obvious bias, but I put some thought into this recently. Dallas only 1-3 before losing Dak, their O-line just hasn't been able to stay healthy, even with Parsons, their defense just isn't very good.
WFT and NYG had the best second halves in the division, and are the most improved in the off season. However the Giants definitely had the better off season. They beat WFT both times last year. Fitzpatrick is just not nearly enough of an improvement to make the difference. As it was, the Eagles had to tank their last game for Washington to win the division.
All 3 of Dallas, WFT, and NYG had new coaches, coordinators, and systems to learn last year with no off season due to Covid-19. All 3 should be better this year. Definitely a reason why NYG and WFT were much better in the 2nd half. However WFT has a new QB whereas NYG and Dallas QB now are in the 2nd year of their systems and new coaches. Jones with significantly more weapons.
All signs point to NYG by a game are 2.
did I start a poll trend?
My heart and my head say cowboys... but I know better than that. WFT it is. Mad respect to them for signing Fitzmagic that man is a legend of the game.
iT’s OuR yEaR
Anything else is delusional.
Too much rides on Dak and that defense and philly is a clusterfuck. Giants look good on paper but they have DJ at the helm still. Washington has the most defensive talent and have an above average QB at the helm.
Fitzpatrick above average🤔🤔🤔
Um yeah? In what way is he a quality starter.
Just to clarify, you believe Ryan Fitzpatrick, known for being passes around from team to team because of his inconsistent play, is an above average QB?
Then Most Quarterbacks who started last year? Yes. Do you know how many QBs Started/Played in the NFL last year?
washington, dallas, giants, philly
In a mostly unbiased manner, I would say:
- Dallas (because our QB is by far the best)
- WFT (because your coach is the best, and Fitz is definitely good enough)
- Giants (because, no matter what, they're better than the eagles)
- Eagles (y'all suck)
I was so bummed when we didn’t get Riverboat Ron.
I honestly didn't give him two thoughts. Not because he's no good or anything, he just didn't cross my mind. I was bummed when we did get McCarthy and...he's not proving me wrong.
I was going to say "whichever team in the division has a true franchise QB", before I realized that none of us do. DJ \*might\* go full Josh Allen now that we got him an arsenal of weapons, and Dak \*might\* not get hurt, but neither are givens.
I also see Washington getting more Fitztragic than Fitzmagic because the latter only occurs when he gets called from the bench and quickly decays to the former.
My answer, why I voted Washington (I actually misclicked but I meant Washington)
Eagles are nothing and ignored
This leaves Dallas, NYG, and WFT, Dallas is third least likely as they are an absolute known quantity. Good passing game, diminishing running game, awful coaching, worse defense. They'll go like 7-10/8-9 and come in second or third most likely
Giants defense gives them a good floor, but offense leaves ?s. If Jones develops and the OL is solid they are the best team in the division, no question. Top 3 secondary and top front 7 as well + good receivers and Saquon. Could easily be a Titans level team or could fail and fall flat.
Washington is my favorite to win it based purely off their (likely) level of production is much higher than Dallas and they eliminate the OL question mark of the Giants in exchange for a slightly lowered ceiling (weaker weapons/worse Defensive Coordinator)
Washington's defense is superior to NY's in just about every aspect
Inferior along DB (in particular safety and CB1) and LB
As an overall unit, the Washington defense is better, it's not debatable.
We're talking a top 3 unit, with potential to be the best in the league, to a top half defense.
As for LB, Davis is a top contender for DROY. He'll put up obscene rookie numbers behind that d line
1) Birds 💪😤💯💯
2) WFT 👏🤭
3) Giants 😂😂
4) D*llas 🤢🤢🤮🤮
1st WFT at 13-4 (Y)
2nd DAL at 10-7 or 11-6 (X)
3rd NYG at 10-7 or 11-6 (X)
4th PHI at 6-11
Edit: forgot about the No repeat rule
Kinda hard to see any team in the division winning 11 games
As an Eagles fan it pains me to say Dallas
Why is Dallas in last when it’s for the most part a 2 team race with them and Washington 🤣
I mean, I know the birds shouldn't realistically have a chance so I didn't vote for them. But if its a 2 team race its (at least on paper) NYG and WFT
The Giants are the wild card team in the division that can win if the best 2 teams end up having everything go wrong. Yes, NY is the most well rounded team in the division, but the Cowboys offense and Washington defense are overwhelming for anyone
I just don't get this. The cowboys have a shaky defense for sure, but the offense is so good that as long as the defense is even moderately better than last year there's no reason to believe the Giants will be better than us. Your best bet is praying that Danny Dimes puts it all together
The Giants are a far more well rounded team and calling the cowboys defense "shaky" is being incredibly generous
Exactly, Cowboys defense isn't Shaky-- it is awful at all 3 levels. The DL is a one man effort by a vet who is aging, the CB1 of Diggs just isn't enough, safeties are God awful, and LBs are all gap shooters which won't work behind a DL that shaky, leading to for every big play they get they'll give one because of poor run fitting by the rest of the roster.
Meh, if it's Dak needing to score 38 each game to survive, I honestly don't think the Cowboys have an ice cube's chance.
Dude was fucking superman at the beginning of last season, but he's coming off major injury and Zeke ain't getting any younger.
Watch Zeke have a terrible year this season. He didn’t dominate like he used to last season and running backs only get worse with time.
That's the thing tho. It's possible that the defense is as bad or worse, but the fact is not a single player on our defense had ever had a year as bad as last year. The scheme was shit, players gave up, and the fact is that even if we aren't the 2000's Ravens, we should be somewhere around #20 in the league. The offense hopefully can grab something around 27 ppg, and that'll be good for quite a few wins
Because you have the worst defense in the league and a QB coming off a serious injury?
Worst defense, when we drafted 8 defensive players and got a new DC that matches most of our player’s strengths?
It sounds like its all coming together for you guys then, this must be the cowboys year
Because it's not a two way race between them and Washington, it's a two way race between the NYG and Washington.
They are both overall better teams than Dallas. Washington has a top 3 in the league defense and should be massively better offensively this year, which was their Achilles heel last year. NY has a good offense, and a severely underrated defense.
Dallas did next to nothing to address the defensive secondary that they needed to do, and their d-line is below average. If that defense improves, it'll be marginally. They needed a shutdown corner, and a early pick quality safety. They got neither. Micah Parsons isn't going to fix that defense, and he's actually going to be second fiddle to Jamin Davis in the division next year because of how bad the defense is around him.
Because eagles fans are drunk and everyone hates us
Who picked the Foreskins and New York Jets2.0 over Cowboys and Eagles?
everyone except cowboys fans
Y’all have some shit tastes.
People who actually know what they are talking about
I trust Tom grossi and voted for dem boyz. They're still going to lose in the wildcard round, though.
don't tell me what to do. I'll vote with whatever bias I want
I'm not biased at all, but my team is better than all the teams I don't like.
🎵 we're from Philly, fucking Philly...🎵
It’s either Dallas or Washington, pretty much entirely determined by whether Dak is good
Would have voted the Giants if I had any faith in our O-line
I tried to not be biased but it didnt work
