Shoot 'Em Up is a great one
Leon The Professional
Seen it but grea suggestion.
Bad santa, Real Steel, Mud
Seen them but all great suggestions. Especially loved Mud and Real Steel.
This is what The Boys season 3 is going to be more or less.
Are you presuming this or have you read the comics? I'm not familiar with the source material, so idk for sure but I can definitely see that after the ending of s2.
Presuming based on ending. Not read the comics! It's just clear that Billy and whateverhiswifesnamewas's kid will have to bond next season and Billy is as anti-hero as they come. I guess him and Hughie has kind of been father-son too to be fair.
That's reluctant hero, not necessarily anti-hero. An anti-hero is someone who does bad things, but acts as the protagonist. So it'd be like John Travolta in Face/Off, or Billy Bob Thornton's character in Bad Santa.
Thanks for the correction although I'm aware already its still appreciated as it points out that I should have been clearer. Its less antihero I guess. But if you've seen either SweetTooth or Wilderpeople I'd say both characters are morally ambiguous to an extent. Neither are the cookie cutter, boy scout hero type. If it hadn't been for the kid the universe forced into their care they likely wouldn't have changed or possibly become worse people.
I guess I was mostly trying to eliminate movies like The Last Action Hero or Mercury Rising.
