If all you want to do is spruce it up, you can find those sapling is Tiagas

It looks great, I think It couldn improve with a little variation/natural randomization of all the rock edges. Maybe a scraggly tree little tree in the rocks halfway up? I think it could extend more to the left side of the Pic too

I plan to bring the water all the way to that stone outline on the left, if that's what you mean. Unless you mean to take it further than that, which I am sort of reluctant to do, since: 1) It will be very time consuming 2) I wanted to try to sort of follow the natural flow of the mountain, as it would save me time on terraforming As for the rock edges, I do plan to round them out/terraform them to make them look more natural, and the current edges are just temporary since I only just finished mining it out, and want to focus on the actual waterfall for now.

Waterfall cave. Even compromise, less work, more complex looking, spices up.

I mean, at the moment it looks kinda like a flat wall of water, I would try adding little ledges to the wall behind it that split up or vary the layers of the waterfall at points just to add that little bit of extra visual interest.

SlapmanChapman

Currently there is no actual wall behind the water, since I planned to have it be the entrance to a massive cavern which would house my underground base. As for the variation, I tried to do something similar with the step, but I think I need to add some more subtle changes too, instead of just one big abrupt one. This means I probably will have to add a wall behind the water, but I can work with that. Do you have any examples or references of waterfalls using these minor ledges that I could use as a guide of sorts?

These are a few different takes I found on google. I guess the other direction you could go is to deliberately make everything look like, overly perfect, but with a wider waterfall, that's unlikely to look normal.

SlapmanChapman

Ohhh, ok. Thank you for your help!

I also plan to have a lake at the bottom, and a gap for entering the cave that will be behind.
