What about this...
The past, the future, etc are actually all here right now! Of course they are, how could you become aware of something that doesn't exist?
What are they actually? I mean in direct experience? What are they if you can't use words to define them? What are they before you think about them? Really, what the fuck!?!?! Look. It's true that this "past" thing isn't here. What is it that you are calling "past" or future or whatever?
Everything is what it is. It's This (the entirety of your experience undivided) appearing as this (whatever you have your attention on right now) and there can never be anything else. This is all their is. It is always and only right now.
What appears to be something else is actually still just "This" appearing as whatever it's appearing as, the trick is seeing what is their, really, instead of what you are conditioned to see. See a fat man in a red suit with a line of children in the mall. That's what's their. See the idea, and memory of Santa, that's their too. But Santa is not there.
Look closer, that's not red, he's not fat, everything just is exactly what it is. Fat is comparison. See it as such. Red is the name of an experience, what is that experience without the label red?
Just see what IS there. Always.
That's the key.
Heaven is not clouds and angels and some life after life. Heaven is here and now, Heaven is presence. It is spread out around us, but men do not see it.
How do you balance staying present without failing to plan or prepare for future tasks and events? I tend to rehearse in my head or visualize whatever upcoming task I have in order to be successful. This detracts from being present but I feel more prepared.
Intuition is there for it. I’ve trained it for quite some time (5 years+) and it is slowly solving some of my biggest issues (caused by adhd).
I don’t think about things, I don’t plan, if I try I fail badly, forget half of it etc.
So I don’t do any of that and just trust my intuition, and suddenly whenever I need to think of something it pops up.
Generally thoughts aren’t as intrusive for me anymore, they don’t come up as randomly. If I suddenly remember things there’s always reasons for it (often I’m not aware of them until later).
At times it feels as if it knows more than I ever could. Like I get the urge to take something with me I never do, and suddenly I need it that exact day, far away from home.
The more you do it the more mystical it gets, often you have no idea how your intuition decides, how it knows or why some things pop up in certain moments.
It’s like learning a new language, one without words and symbols. It’s insane, it keeps you calm if there is no use in getting angry or frustrated or sad, it keeps you from falling for things you’d normally fall for (mostly your self made mental traps).
But to get there you have to give up a lot, you need to have a ton of trust.
And it’s so easy to fall away from it, taking your egoistic responses as if they’re your intuition and suddenly everything you do seems to fail, like you’re cursed with insane bad luck.
Then, when you’re back on the right track suddenly everything good falls in front of you for you to pick up, like insane luck all of a sudden, without any worries needed.
I mean, make your plans, but don’t over think them too much. Things will fall off course, and when that happens, only in the moment can you make the decisions to get back on course, and keep working towards your goal. Do what you can here and now do to get you there
you can set aside time to intentionally plan and prepare for future tasks with your full awareness, which would be a mindful action, verses just ruminating about the future or constantly thinking about it while trying to do other things. It’s the difference between deciding to spend 30 min before you go to bed to plan for tomorrow, verses not being able to pay full attention to a conversation or a meal because you can’t stop thinking about what you’re going to do tomorrow
This moment doesn't exist.
You can't identify it; by the time you try, it's gone.
The sensations you're feeling, the thoughts you're having, they're already past; your nerves do not fire instantaneously.
Everything about it - the setup, your location, thoughts, habits, physical state, relationships, patterns, being - they were all formed and continue to flow through this intransigent passing of time.
I wish I had enough money to pay someone to say this directly to my face 20 or more times a day lol. Maybe then I could catch myself and start being happy and living in the moment lol
Yes indeed. To still the mind you have to swim up stream. But there is nothing necessary in terms of action to ‘enter into’ the present. We are presence itself. On account of the green scum on the water we can’t see the clear bottom.

Thinking is a helluva drug
Yeah. But NOT thinking can get you much higher.
I really needed this today. Thank you ❤️
Glad I could help
Good reminder. "The kingdom of heaven is spread out around us, but men do not see it." (Gospel of Thomas)
Heaven is not synonymous with presence.
Heaven is not clouds and angels and some life after life. Heaven is here and now, Heaven is presence. It is spread out around us, but men do not see it.
Do you know what the quote means? Do some homework.

You’re here and now. Also, you can’t find a comfortable place for your tongue. Sorry 😜
Needed this reminder 🙏🏻 thank you so much 💓

Why not pay yourself?

It sure seems real
Please say more.
I have no knowledge, I’m just another traveller floating along.
Presence is all there is. You’re holding onto mental constructs while also trying to go beyond mental constructs. How can this work?
By just being willing to go beyond your comfort zone of the mind
Yes but the natural tendency of the mind is to create mental constructs of reality to survive. In order to be preseny you have to swim up stream.
