I would too. Chick-fil-a is awesome

Wanggretzky69247

Lmao. I ate way too many chicken minis fml

No-Tumbleweed9002

ahahahah, i was going to write this - so great.

Imperialist_Canuck

Milwaukee and Chick Fil A. This guy has taste.

gofunkyourself69

What a combination of very good taste and very poor taste in one picture.

aplbomr

Why are you on the Milwaukee sub if you don't like it?

sildish2179

Pretty sure he’s talking about the poor taste being chick fil A since he’s a big Milwaukee guy. Not everyone likes chick fil A. I guess anyway. Because chick fil a is delicious.

MicahN44

Great food (sometimes) but you should Google some of their values as a business.

Mr_MacGrubber

Chick fil a is garbage.

Puzzleheaded_Poet_81

Correct, teeny tiny sandwiches and backwards values.

reddiculousity

Apparently you haven’t tried the spicy chicken deluxe.

Puzzleheaded_Poet_81

Oh the tiny chicken with bacon and cheese. I like the asiago chicken club spicy from Wendy's tbh.

mainemandan

I use mine for tires, perfect for airing up after driving on sand or off-road, particularly in remote areas without compressors. I also like to take it out on my boat, I can bring inflatable paddle-boards that are stored in backpacks and still have space for friends. It’s great having the air on a remote island somewhere. I also like that the battery is something I can pull off throw on an impact if I’m changing a flat tire.

mattjopete

I’ve had a vair for 7 years now that won’t die… once it dies I want to get this for the same use

gpburdell76

Dude I *just* bought the M18 inflator last week - what deal did you get? Imma go plead my case.

One-Struggle-6380

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-XC-Starter-Kit-with-Two-5-0Ah-Batteries-and-Charger-48-59-1852B/320379720 Go buy again and return on the old receipt?

PhoenixGuy99

I throw mine in the truck/car every time we take a road trip. I love it. It’s tough as nails too, I backed my truck up and ran over it on accident and all that happened was one of the rubber feet tore off

elNational

Isn't it expensive though? I have the ryobi which seems much smaller, is only about $30, but it screams like a banshee. I can only assume it's slower but filling up tires seems like such an infrequent task for most people

alittletoosmooth

I am also a genius. I ran my M12 inflator over a couple of times. It looks like shit but it still works perfectly

Dry_Relief_6776

What did you nab it for?

secondhand_pie

It’s $94.24 for the inflator if you return the battery kit or $199 for both. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-XC-Starter-Kit-with-Two-5-0Ah-Batteries-and-Charger-48-59-1852B/320379720

soyboy69_420

Yep I got it too. Online order and canceled the batteries. They don't have the other displays out yet and wouldn't let me go find the two packs of tape measures in their pallets. Bastards.

SpacexSpace

Did you do delivery or store pickup?

soyboy69_420

Store pickup. It wouldn't let me cancel just the batteries online so I went to the pickup desk, told them I wanted just the inflator released, she released that first and then I told her to cancel the batteries after the inflator was released (not sure if it makes a difference but did it that way just to be sure)

SpacexSpace

Just did this! Thanks for the details.

SpacexSpace

How do you still use this hack to get both in cart? I don’t see an option to just cancel one.

Wide_Riot

Looks like 200 +tax

insaneinthemembrane8

When I click the link it’s only the battery kit, how does the inflator come into play

sildish2179

Look at the “Select a Free Tool” section. https://i.imgur.com/nxALbtL.jpg

SnakeDoctor00

On mine it’s no longer an option now. EDIT: Annnnnd it’s back. Bought the M12 one with 2 3.0XC batteries for $80 anyhow.

operatorx4

How much?

Wanggretzky69247

10 count minis and hash browns was like 12 bucks

Aggressive_Credit689

Sold out? Doesn't show an option for it anymore

traffic626

Works for me shipping to 02135

Fresh-Bid6315

Put mine in the cart, it’s like your google and you were listening to my conversation with my brother!! I will pick up tomorrow!!

CryptographerFit631

Tempted but how often would you use it realistically? Silly question, but can you inflate a mattress for example? Or just vehicles ..?

410_Bacon

The inflators are made for high pressure things, not really high volume. There are other brands of pumps that do high volume such as this Ryobi: https://www.ryobitools.com/products/details/33287173815 Or this Ryobi that does both high volume and high pressure: https://www.ryobitools.com/products/details/33287178780 I use my M12 version about once a month when checking and topping off the various tires around my house. Cars, lawnmowers, garden cart, bikes, etc.

brokentail13

I will say this M18 is not really comparable with the M12. Completely different on fill rates. I love mine.

sovamind

Good to know as my M12 got stolen from the van and I've been waiting to replace with the M18. Just ordered one with the hack.

cilla_da_killa

Fml looks like they removed the inflator option?

[deleted]

cilla_da_killa

No this thread is discussing the m18 inflator

traffic626

Still there for me

sovamind

It shows up for me still this afternoon, but I got one last night using the half-return hack for <$100

cilla_da_killa

Got a link?

sovamind

homedepot.com?

rebacos

How slow is the m12? I just ordered one…

Wanggretzky69247

M12 does the job but the m18 is prolly twice as fast

brokentail13

There's a bunch of videos on YouTube. Duty cycle is a big difference. Might want to check that out. Here's a comical one. https://youtu.be/EQyhg6wAwIk

FogItNozzel

I have one because I’m constantly adjusting tire pressures in my car at autocross/HPDEs and on my truck when I drive on dirt roads. It’s a lot quicker than the cigarette lighter powered inflators I was using before. And it’s also an easy thing to just toss in the kit that’s not limited to a single vehicle like an on-board compressor would be on the truck.

madeformarch

I helped a guy out a couple of weeks ago with my m12 inflator. Another guy didn't even see it and was coming over with his cigarette lighter powered one, and freaked out when he saw it. Dude already had m12 tools and I talked him into going to home depot and picking up one on the $129 deal. The m12 is a little slow, but it inflated a donut tire from 28 to 60 PSI while I was filling up my truck

xphoney

$89 is the best I saw ever. $99 is common “tool only”.

gofunkyourself69

The M12 was originally $79 with a 2.0ah battery, or $69 tool only. Of course, that was when it was a new tool.

GC51320

How loud is the m18?

FogItNozzel

It’s not particularly quiet, but I’ve had louder pumps.

madeformarch

I drive a two year old pickup and I've used my m12 inflator to help out about a dozen people, and inflate my own tires after plugging a hole twice. Most of those times I've helped others was when stopping at a gas station while I was on a job

NeonCobego

I also just picked up the inflator and chik-fil-a 🤣 As a diy-er who said winter/summer tires twice per year, at least that often. Plus bikes, balls. Etc. I have a little compressor for that stuff now but the dang thing is noisy, slow and inconvenient. My only gripe is that there’s no HVLP mode on this like the dewilt.

sildish2179

So what are you going to do for HVLP things then? I just picked this up myself and not having that bums me out. But for $99 the price is too good.

NeonCobego

I’ve seen the suggestion of using the m12 or m18 compact blowers. I really don’t need a HVLP blower that often though, so may just not do anything. I’ve also seen people mention using this with air mattresses, so maaaaybe it can run long enough to do a high volume application.

basilhdn

Just want to add I am pretty sure the compact m18 blower comes with mattress inflators.. I have had mine for a few years, just threw all my old boxes away and checked for spare parts and I think this one comes with inflator attachments for mattresses etc. I don’t have a model number on me but it’s the small one withe the handle, round body, and the nozzle

RossLH

For HVLP, I have a mishmash of a 12V 2-stage HVLP pump, 180W inverter, and M18 top off. Milwaukee HVLP pump would be far more convenient, but this works for now.

Runnindead

The Milwaukee m18 blower has attachments to do just that. I use mine for pool floats in the summer and air mattresses other times.

madeformarch

Adding a note, this is the m18 compact blower, not the m18 fuel blower

Runnindead

Yes. Exactly right.

zlliksddam

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18V-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Compact-Blower-Tool-Only-0884-20/204834633

bigbadsubaru

I use my M18 “suitcase” vacuum plus the Air Tip hoses for that, blows up your standard orca floaty in about 30 seconds :-P Was going to get the blower but the vacuum was on sale for the same price and I already have a gas leaf blower

PositiveEnergyMatter

Inflates swim tubes like a champ so I think it could without and issue

Wanggretzky69247

It’s one of those things that’s better to have than not have imo. I use mine a lot surprisingly. Shoot even this weekend I was on a road trip so I brought it. I didn’t need myself but someone in my family’s car had a low tire and I was able to very quickly and conveniently save the day with the ryobi I had in the back seat.

gofunkyourself69

I use the M12 inflator way more than I expected. Car tires, mower, hand cart, wheelbarrows. I keep it in the back of the car. Filled a guy's tire from completely flat at work so he could get across the complex to the garage. I once used it on the side of the road, plugged my own tire, re-inflated, and drove the rest of the way home. And of course you can use it for air mattresses, pool floats, footballs, etc

kharris8887

A bit long but: I picked it up today as well and thought about your comment. For $179 regular price, yeah this is a valid point I think. But my wife just had her tire pressure light go on her SUV last week. She got freaked out because that’s happened in the past and she’s had blow outs or needed to stop somewhere to fill her tire to get back home. She’s usually driving with our 2 little kids so that adds to the anxiety. We checked all 4 when she got home and just one tire was a bit low, so I went out and filled it. I thought about this inflator then and knew it was going on sale. I don’t have a compressor and don’t have a desire for one. I have cordless brad and finisher nailers. But for $99 after hack, I picked this up and since she was home, showed her how it fills a tire since the tire on my car was a bit low. She was shocked how easy it was, and I like the performance it just did with my 5.0 battery. And I programmed each of our cars into its memory. And now, god forbid if something like that happens again or on the road or out somewhere, this thing is portable and can help resolve it temporarily. So this is the kind of tool that I feel will not have much value sitting around, but when we need it, will pay off ten times over.

dorritos29

I used my m12 to top off my motorcycle and truck tires, used it to inflate basketballs/football and even used it to inflate balloons for a party. The m12 for sure doesn't have the power for a mattress and I don't think the m18 would be able to do it either

Adoptionn

M12 Vac Flip the hose around to blow, just about how I do every air mattress now.

MrLeBAMF

You think a mattress holds more pressure than a tire??

Hopglock

It’s not the pressure, it’s the volume. It can do it but it would take forever to fill.

dorritos29

Itll take forever to fill. Ot doesn't push out enough air to cover that much area

brokentail13

I use mine as a backup (rides in the vehicle) but mostly for emergency off grid use. Honestly, I use it to top off the tires on the cars, bikes, balls, etc over using the 20gal.

PowerScissor

I use the m18 compact blower for blowing up inflatable mattresses, kayaks, etc. It blows them up really fast and you still have a useful blower for blowing off sand or dirt.

impulsivetech

I was just about to say how much better a 12v alligator clip compressor is for airing up tires. Then I imagined how convenient this would be to air up tires cordlessly on the cars between seasons (<5psi per tire). Damnit Milwaukee.

leviathan1000

How does the inflator work? Better to go with the inflator or just stick with the Fuel air compressor?

audigex

Depends what you want it for Inflating tyres in your garage? Get the compressor because there are 100 bajillion other things you can use a compressor for (no exaggeration, it’s actually 100 bajillion). It’s worth having a compressor just for the cheap pneumatic nail guns and spray guns alone, even if you have a nail gun or two it’s convenient to have cheap versions of the other sizes Whereas if you want something in your car on road trips etc, the inflator is a much more compact option that makes sense if that’s all you need - throw it in your trunk, check the battery charge level occasionally, and don't worry about it it doesn't take up much space

sildish2179

Things is, the compressor isn’t $99 right now (after hack). At that price, the inflator and compressor have different uses, but way different price points too.

audigex

Yeah if budget is a factor then I could see someone just getting the inflator for their garage - but I still think that an average person (assuming they can afford it) should just get the compressor if possible as it's so much more versatile and worth owning on it's own So I just answered the question on face value, on the assumption that the parent commenter wouldn't have asked if they couldn't afford the compressor ... and I didn't know the inflator was so cheap currently because I'm in the UK and we don't get your crazy big box store deals :(

Wanggretzky69247

I can understand getting a big compressor that supports all air tools but The fuel compressor is pretty small and doesn’t seem all that versatile.

jhp113

I think the main draw is how quiet it is

HammerOfThor1

Can confirm. 100 bagillion

Wanggretzky69247

I don’t know much about the compressor honestly but this inflator is very convenient and is actually very fast. Watched a video and it aired up a big tire from flat in 3 minutes. Which is over twice as fast as the ryobi I bought. PLUS you can take these batteries back and the inflator comes out to 96 bucks. Solid deal

leviathan1000

Makes sense, although I'm not opposed to a couple extra batteries. I still think I have more tools than batteries at this point, so may make sense to keep them. Thanks!

madeformarch

5.0 batteries are nice to have but I'm on the hunt for 6.0 and 12.0 HO batteries, just for the extra ass

llDemonll

Buying one also. Cant justify full price, but compared to the M12 this one is worth the extra few bucks on sale now. Went by HD this morning but my store was still setting up the displays and I didn't wanna bother them yet.

gamefreak054

Depends on the CFM, if they are the same the compressor has to fill up the the tank, then fill up the tire... Which is an advantage and disadvantage. Keep the compressor going in between tires and its going to have an headstart, but then its going to be slower average CFM. A lot of people like inflators better because you have consistent pressure. Issue is inflators are only inflators as thats all they do. A compressor has multiple uses, granted I'm not sure what's useful at the CFM it outputs. You can save some duty cycle on an compressor with tank as it constantly turns off and shuts off as well. The inflator has saveable settings which is pretty nice. If I had a vehicle this was actually useful for, I would get the inflator. But I have 35s on one vehicle and 40s on the other, I would need a fleet of batteries and not die of old age to fil up them. There are a lot stronger options if you want to run off your car batteries.

firstthrowaway9876

The link for those of y'all that can't find it. It disappeared for me too. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Inflator-with-Two-5-0ah-and-Charger-48-59-1852B-2848-20/322134509

sildish2179

Worth mentioning that most people won’t want that deal because it’s not hackable to get the inflator for $94. If you want the kit though, then that’s the way to go.

chiaman117

I see a lot of people saying they use these to fill up tires at home. Do most of you guys not have a dedicated compressor setup? Like if I was at home I would never pull this thing out. I've got an 80 gallon shop compressor in my garage and I know most people don't have that but most people have a 20 or 30 gallon compressor at least. What's the big desire with these besides being portable for $200? I think I'd rather just buy a $30 cigarette lighter compressor if all I'm going to do is pump up car tires.

Wanggretzky69247

It was 96 bucks mam

chiaman117

Yeah I know haha I personally just don't get the appeal. My buddy has one of these and two of the m12s and the m18 compressor and he still would have been better off getting a stand alone 10 gallon compressor. It just takes so long to pump up a tire with a little inflator like this. Also I just snagged the same deal but I chose the jigsaw.

Wanggretzky69247

I feel like it honestly saves me a little time. Not having to wait for the compressor to build up and fuck with the hose. Like you said it’s super portable and unlike my Fatass compressor lol. I’ve bought those corded ones that your talking about and the wire always get messed up or doesn’t always reach. Gone thru two of those in the past.

chiaman117

You just gotta leave it plugged in all the time 😂. No but I get it, it is a hassle if you're not set up for it. But that's why I encourage people to set it up haha. A hose reel and a few drops around the garage makes life a million times easier. I've got a massive sandblast cabinet and a cnc plasma table in the garage so that's the only reason I have an overkill air setup.

Wanggretzky69247

Dannnng see if I had some cool shit like that in my garage then I would definitely make my compressor more convenient. But truth is I use my shit to work cars at home and I’ve like got so many nice battery tools now my compressor gets lonely

chiaman117

Haha I feel the same I see some cool air tools but I'm like I already have a better battery version. My micro 1/2" earthquake will always have a special place in my heart though.

gofunkyourself69

I sold my 30 gallon compressor. Switched all my nail guns to Hitachi 18V, switched my impact wrench to M18, M12 inflator for tires, and gave away other few air tools I had. It was just taking up space. Obviously in a production shop air is king, but for a home hobbyist/handyman battery tools are the way to go. I can't see why anyone would need a 60 or 80 gallon compressor for a home garage.

chiaman117

Sandblasting, painting, tools that draw a lot of air. Plenty of uses for one!

Blueshirt38

I would say that the vast majority of people absolutely do not "have a 20 or 30 gallon compressor at least". I survived many years with just a crappy 2gal pancake, which was honestly a pain to use even on tires. I haven't used any of the Milwaukee inflators, but I could see how at a great price it could be amazing to keep in the truck and pump some tires every once in a while without having to drive into the backyard (don't have a garage, shed in the back yard) or lug a compressor to the front of the house.

notathrowaway_5150

How well does this fit inside underseat storage of a pickup truck? I currently have a Ryobi which fits beautifully, but I plan to give that to my wife. Im torn between this, another Ryobi because Im in the platform already, or a M12 because I already have the batteries. Also for a pickup truck which will be topped off between 40 & 45 PSI, would the M12 be sufficient or at this price is the M18 worth it? Thanks Red Gang

Wanggretzky69247

Haha that’s exactly what I’m doing with my ryobi ..putting it in my wife’s car. I just measured them side by side. The milwaukee is 3 inch longer and almost 2 inch wider. the m18 sounds makes the ryobi sound like a toy

notathrowaway_5150

Nice, I think I can make that fit in the underseat storage of my truck. Thank you The Hung One!

madeformarch

I have the M12 tucked behind the back seats of my Tacoma. I ripped out those plastic inserts and added a molle rack, it fits in there perfectly. M12 is fine for the duty you mentioned, but at this price M18 is worth it too

JimmyNo83

I throw it in the back of my trail rig in case the tire fill up stations are full or down. It’s not the fastest but gets the job done.

avega2792

Jelly.

Xipimp

I went and it didn’t work.

notquiteworking

Does the M18 inflator have the same 10 min duty cycle as the M12? I’m entirely happy with my M12 but it looks like the M18 is about 50% faster and can do 150psi instead of 125psi

rrm75

Thanks for posting this! I ordered with a drywall screw gun. Great deal!!

lappy_386

This is the deal I’m going for. Don’t need it, want it

terrydennis1234

Are these deals in Canada too?

Certain_Bit_9081

Have some doubts about its efficiency! Does it really gonna inflate those punctured tires with heavy loads?

Heavy-Diet8285

I got a similar deal months ago two 5.0 Batteries and a dual fast charger for 199.99

Blazeauga

Wow. That’s a pretty sick deal honestly. I have an M12 inflator that I love and I paid 112 for it. Plus the variety of bonus tools you can choose from is insane.

DLDabber

I have the M12. It works great.

Sajnog

Yassss i love this thing at work and home!

firstthrowaway9876

I'm new to this. Currently only have a 2767-21B M18 high torque. Am I not able to return the battery and charger and get that 99 bucks back? Home depot is selling it as 2 items and splitting the cost 50/50 between each tool. If it isnt hackable that way I'm not worried. I'm sure I can find somone that'll buy the batteries on Facebook marketplace. Also picked up an angle grinder cause it had the same deal as the inflator. And a M12 inflator with 2 batteries from northern tools for 79.

MuffinOk4609

I got the M12 version. It came with a 3A battery and charger for about $100! Home Depot, but last year. In Canada.

GlockSpock

Well thanks, you made me spend money on a day I had hoped to not spend money. I've had the M12 for a year or two and it has been great on topping on our vehicles and my lawn mower. That said, I think after one or two Youtube videos it is easy to see that the M18 inflator is superior. Bought this and will either be returning or selling the batteries.

mrfosta

Is the m18 much better than the m12?
