I nominate myself
I also nominate this guy
And my axe.
And your hammer?
Yeah i would spun it really fast and it pulled me off the gr-
Oh my god the hammer pulled you off?
I understood that reference
I also pick this guy’s axe.
I prefer Old Spice
I nominate this guy's body spray
I nominate this guys dead wife
I also nominate this guys dead wife
I second this
Can i be the free poster
I hope you get the part
I hope you get Wanda
I’m okay with that
I nominate you as well as myself to be your chubby, yet funny and lovable sidekick. Your “man in the chair” if you will.
I also pick this guys dead wife
From the tweet:
- The character is open to any ethnicity.
- The character is described as a “struggling Hollywood actor”.
- The show will be very comedic.
I am really intrigued how they use this random guy to tie in wandavision
He got powers from the Hex like Monica mayhaps
> struggling actor
> powers from hex
… Evan Peters as Wonder Man? Bohner redemption?
I vibe with it
that's been the running theory at new rockstars since the first murmurs of a show came out
Oh God. I don't know why but the thought had my brain connecting it to Wanda and Pietro from the Ultimates
Well, I mean, Wanda and Simon did have a thing briefly…
While I love the idea I really think for a concept like this they will want someone who has the classic 'This guy doesn't look like an actor' look. Like Michael Cera (Not suggesting Michael Cera himself).
Michael Cera it is
…I’m willing to consider it.
That would be awesome... I hope we get more casting updates to see if they already have a name for it or if the role still needs to be filled.
They never really revealed who the missing person was that led Jimmy to Westview, did they?
That's true actually. Plus they said they had plans for that mystery missing person but couldn't reveal it during the WandaVision interviews so he must've been slightly important. And we also saw that image of Wonder Man behind Jac Schaefer during a WandaVision featurette.... It's all coming together
I might be super wrong, and totally remember it incorrectly…
But I recall Jimmy Woo saying „this is actually not a missing person case, but a missing town“
Which would mean that the „missing person“ was just a cover up for the Westview anomaly before they figured out what happened to the town.
Am I wrong thinking that?
"It's not just a missing person's case, Captain Rambeau. It's a missing town."
Jimmy's missing informant (which could very well have been Simon Williams renamed to Ralph Bohner by Witness Protection, although I hope it wasn't) was how he discovered that Westview as a whole had disappeared.
are you kidding? its in the name!
he’s wanda man!
Ezra Miller fits the description of struggling Hollywood actor.
I don't think he's acting anymore nor is he in Hollywood
they're committing more crimes than doing films
>The character is described as a “struggling Hollywood actor”
Nothing does this describes more than being an Asian male actor looking for roles. Henry Golding or Steven Yeun please.
I'd seen a fancast previously for Henry Golding and he's my ideal casting
Golding is the one!
Either one of these would be dope. I want more TWD actors in the MCU lol
>The show will be very comedic
So...it's an MCU project then. Good to know.
"You will watch the show with your eyeballs."
It’d be fun if it was a “reality” show.
Struggling Hollywood actor, with a very comedic tone?
Will smith redemption project. /s
What ethnicity is he in the comics?
I believe he’s Caucasian but I could be wrong.
Edit: definitely did not expect to wake up to this. A large majority of characters in any form of entertainment are white. Let’s not start complaining now that POC are getting representation.
White, but it's not relevant to his character in any way, so there's no reason he *has* to be white.
The world deserves more Steven Yeun
God the grip that man has on me is intense. Especially after Nope and Sorry to Bother You
Edit: Oh and Minari
Would highly recommend Burning he's fantastic in that
Mayhem wasn’t the best movie, but fuck he was good in that too
STBY is so goddamn good
He's personally my fancast for Martin Li, but I'd love him in any role.
Interesting choice but wouldn’t it be super meta to cast someone who’s struggling in Hollywood right now?
Is he struggling? Genuinely curious, it just surprises me with his work from Nope to Invincible to Minari.
I’d like to see him in a slightly more dramatic role. I wouldn’t be mad at him as Reed Richards, honestly.
Fucking inspired. I definitely want Yeun as an important character so we get as much time as possible with the treasure that he is. If he was a one off villain and died, it would break my heart.
Hmm I wonder if he’ll first appear in another project if he’s already being cast.
Agatha maybe? Probably not but we don’t really know shit about Agatha’s plot other than it’ll probably include the Hood.
From the casting calls we also know Wiccan/Billy will be in the Agatha show
Toby Kebbel is someone I can kind of see in the role. I’ve also seen Henry Golding suggested, which could work.
If Simon’s show is meant to be a comedy satirizing Hollywood, I wouldn’t be surprised if they go for a lesser-known or a more out-of-left-field choice
Henry Golding is perfect
Either keep Nathan Fillion or go with Joel McHale imo.
Community alumni are no stranger to the MCU and I think he could be a very good, arrogant superhero in a comedy focused show
Could even maybe see him having good chemistry with Maslany's She Hulk
Joel's going to be like 60 years old by the time this enters production.
Well for what it's worth, He's looking great at 50.
I'm Doctor Doogie Seacrest and I believe I'm better than everyone else because I'm forty
Joel doesn’t need to play Starman and Wonder Man
Honestly I'd love if they kept Nathan Fillion
Henry Golding..Mena Massoud
or hear me out. Henry Cavill.
Cavill needs to be Captain Britain so he can grow his mustache like CB had in the comics.
I would cast wonder man close to Elizabeth Olsen age because scarlet witch and wonder man have relationship in the comic
I'll always bring him up in any MCU casting convo, but [Glenn Howerton](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VY7R3BY-YPQ) lol it really depends what age range and comedic tone they're looking for
If he wasn’t the perfect embodiment of Peacemaker, John Cena would be a hysterical Wonder Man
Even I want Wonder Man to be literally me.
Glenn Howerton or Steven Yeun
The Golden Gold is introduced into the MCU.
Henry Golding ✌🏽
Glen Powell is my go to
I was thinking Cyclops for Powell
Now that you say it, he'd be perfect as Cyclops. Make it happen, Marvel!
He was born to play Johnny Storm.
I vote for Nathan Fillion
Is Simon that old in the comics?
Fuck the comics. Fillion would be a great fit.
Henry Golding would be a great Wonder Man. But I think the MCU version Will have no attachments to Wanda or Vision.
I agreed. Don't know why people seem to think they'll do the same as the comics. MCU Vision is already restored and Wanda is gone at the moment and it would be a veeeery weird fit to have Wanda appear in a comedic Wonder Man show.
No, if anything, Carol could appear as she's dated Wonder Man as well, in the comics and Destin Creston is doing the Wonder Man series, and Brie Larson appears in all his projects.
I guess Nathan Fillion is out. EVEN THOUGH HE WAS ALREADY CAST AND HE IS LITERALLY PERFECT
A struggling comedic actor I choose Danny McBride even tho he ain’t struggling
righteous gemstones is great, check it out if you're a fan of Danny and havent seen it.
Henry Golding seems to be a popular pick and honestly I can’t find anything wrong with that casting
Jon Hamm. It's about time he showed up in the MCU.
Give me Jensen Ackles or Henry Golding
I know it's probably wishful thinking but I'd love if they kept Nathan Fillion from GotGv2
So I guess Nathan Fillion isn’t coming back
Wasn't Nathon Fillion supposed to be wonderman in a deleted GOTG2 scene? wonder wholl they'll cast :D
He played Simon Williams, yes.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 973,600,462 comments, and only 194,508 of them were in alphabetical order.
It'd be neat if Wonder Man is an in universe show and that's how he gets the name
Theory: The Simon Williams we see in the movie posters via Easter eggs is Simon Williams Sr, this one is Simon Williams Jr who’s a struggling actor trying to live up to his father’s legacy.
I actually thought this is what they would go for. I thought maybe Evan Peters would be "our" Wonderman. That's why he was playing the neighbor. The Ralph Boner joke is because he doesn't want to be in his Dad's shadow.
will Beast appear on the show?, so we can have the wonderman and beast friendship.
Possibly! I think Ms. Marvel's Mutant reveal supports the idea that we could see Beast in the show. I'd want it to be pre Blue Furry though.
I'll do it
I’m already struggling to make it in Hollywood! I’m perfect for the role!
Golding and Efron would be really great, have to agree with a lot of people here.
But could see them going for a former SNLer.
I want them to add Bill Hader somewhere, maybe not here, but he’s killed it on Barry. Just want him in more stuff.
My money is on Henry golding.
i honestly assumed they’d get paul bettany to do it? maybe that’s too much of a revision of the original character
Aside from being blonde, yes, I always thought it was kinda funny that Vision took a human form in IW.
Needs to be someone with excellent comedic timing and a lot of charisma but also very handsome in a sort of classic Hollywood way, kinda like a tall Tom Cruise.
It's me guys. Can't wait to play the part.
I know it was fake but I loved the idea of Henry Golding as Wonder Man
I have a feeling he will be affiliated with Wanda one way or another, maybe he got his powers from the Hex? It would make sense as his origin story in the MCU.
The fact that Wanda's powers can accidentally enchant people with super powers is a pretty amazing plot device.
Imagine being a struggling actor doing an audition to portray a struggling actor doing auditions. Like do you just show up and act out your real life?
"Struggling Hollywood Actor"
So anyone fron the CW shows definitely qualify right?
Alden Ehrenreich please
Joining the MCU already!
Hear me out. Sean William Scott.
Never would have thought it but I’m here for it
country Mac as wonderman, I love it.
Oh dear god. That would be perfect
Cast Brendan Fraser !
Henry Golding will probably get it
Surely this will be the show where they bring back Frank Castle.
Everybody here is speculating in who'll play Simon while I'm over in the corner by myself wondering who's going to play Eric
What about Tom Ellis?
I was looking for this comment, thanks you! He is just perfect. I get why people want Henry but I want him as Cyclops lmao
the show being described very comedic doesnt really give me hope. dont get me wrong, i’ll watch it and im very intrigued, but he’s a total power house in the comics, shouldn’t be a person who’s whole tale is treated as a joke
His old series (pictured above) was very light hearted. Though I know he’s also had recurring tragic elements such as his love for Wanda and constant deaths and resurrections.
I would cast Charles Melton.
They should cast Sal Gadot, Gal's brother.
I still feel like this falls under the quantity over quality category. I'm sure it'll be fine but I'm not terribly excited about this.
It’s my time to shine, that one play I acted in for my second grade class will finally pay off.
If they don’t throw Jon Ham in there and call it a day….
If they don’t throw Pedro Pascal in there and call it a day….
He should be played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The hierarchy of the power in the MCU is about to change.
I hope they cast someone as Tigra
Seann William Scott
Here me out…
He could look the part of a downsloping movie star.
He’s got great comedic chops.
And the banter when he eventually gets some crossover time with Deadpool would be epic.
“Struggling Hollywood actor”
Me: Amber Heard. We want Amber.
The X-Men are gonna hit the MCU like a nuke when they give every single X-men their own series...
Lakeith stanfield. You heard it here first folks.
Not as Wonder Man but I'd love him in the MCU
He’s much dryer than what I expect from this show, I do want him to join though.
So how do I audition
Where do I audition?!
Jessica alba tbh
Mena Massoud stand up
we're saving Glenn for Mr. Fantastic.
Isn’t this the same woman who was entirely wrong about HBO Discovery
Whoever they cast, I can’t wait to see which costume they give him, because Wonder Man has had some famously awful suits over the years.
Been waiting for this character to appear.
They better bring in Nathan Fillion.
Two words: Henry Cavill. It would be the biggest middle finger to WB.
Seems a little early considering we haven’t heard anything about casting yet for the later Phase 5 projects? Do we think he’ll appear in something else first?
Rob McElhenny would be a stellar fit. He has the look, the comedy chops, easy casting.
Rick Fucking Dalton
Bring back Nathan Fillion, get him back into shape and he will be perfect. He has the acting chops, and was already in GOTG 2 as Wonder Man in a cameo role but it got cut/deleted.
Fine, Ill do it
Who tf is wonderland? A dc gender swap?
I'm struggling, but I'm not in Hollywood. Damn.
I feel iffy about this show tbh. I think the time for Wonder Man to show up in the MCU is past and tbh he comes off a bit generic, but I'm willing to be proven wrong
