Competitive-King-119

Dark themed 3D PvP fighting game with marvel characters? hell yeah

AngryMatt14

Wolverine looks like a frontman for 2002 nu-metal band

Figgaray

Can’t unsee it now

Curtis1813

Web slingin' ass kickin!

ChidoriDildo

This game was tits af. Countless hours on the game cube spent playing.

AcidikDrake

Hazmat was my dude. "It's like curse to be alive," or something like that. Damn this game was edgy and fun

War-Dog7997

I played the shit out of this game. I remember the campaign hitting a wall of difficulty that made it almost impossible to beat. The 1v1 fights were great though.

ibettheywonthaveit

Maybe most of my memory in this game is just childhood nostalgia but all those memories have me convinced this game was fun af. I hated fighting that knockoff Lex Luthor guy though.

vlp3rv

I loved this one!

Briccochet

AYO I REMEMBER LEARNING ABOUT THIS ON FEBRUARY THIS YEAR! I really loved the concept

MrAnthem123

Honestly, some of the most fun I had playing fighting games.

god_of_guac

Still got my PS2 version!

maxsdo

This is/was a top tier underrated game.

spikeblackfire

Such an awesome game

Xenomorph_kills

I loved this game so much. Spider-Man was OP

mh1357_0

I've never heard of this game before in my life. It looks extremely early 2000s. Is it any good

Cardinal_and_Plum

I really enjoyed it, but I haven't played it since it released. I liked some of the characters it introduced.

Cabamacadaf

It's pretty fun and the control system is interesting, but it's not very well balanced and most of the new characters are pretty boring.

mh1357_0

Yeah, they sound very boring from the description I heard

Sempais_nutrients

It was decent but had balance issues. It was possible to one-shot with certain characters.

mh1357_0

Yeah, sounds about right for an early 2000's character based action game

shawnhopkins

Not really, no.

mh1357_0

Ok that's what I thought

MLGcat282

Not really the intro was pretty cool from what I remember everything else is ehhh.

MegaDomo23

I played the character Paragon, probably influenced my type

BloodshotMoon

This art always looked hokey af.

TheMergedSentry

Johnny Ohm was my dude lol

EpicD0m

It was so weird finding out that all these characters were made for the game. Used to love Hazmat

Sure_Persimmon9302

X-23 first appeared in X-Men: Evolution, and now she’s made her way into all sorts of media, like Harley Quinn. I heard that they were trying to do the same thing with the Imperfects, but they didn’t get very far.

Relative_Mix_216

I thought the original characters were pretty cool.

FaustandAlone

This game was good af

shawnhopkins

That was a real misfire. The new characters simply weren’t appealing and they took up a lot of the roster and storyline. Fighting was a bit clunky too.

coldboxer04

Would you say the game was...Imperfect?

FiftyFootMidget

I liked some of the new guys. I mained brigade. Was bummed I missed out on Capt and doom on the psp.

SonicFiasco

Awful game tbh

CallOfKtullu

And they hated him for he spoke the truth.

Stopthelemurs

Legit. I mean, I absolutely *adored* this game as a kid, but it reviewed terribly at the time. I think the praise just comes from people who played it as kids, and are a little biased because of nostalgia (myself included).

JustAnotherZakuPilot

At the time it wasn’t. I remember thinking “this is the best superhero game ever” when it came out. Idk any other marvel game that let you play those characters and made them their own.

SonicFiasco

Even back then this was not a good game, did you know X-men Legends 2 actually dropped that same day? now thats a good game

JustAnotherZakuPilot

Both are different games though..

SonicFiasco

Never said they were similar did I? just said one is good and the other one isnt in my opinion

JustAnotherZakuPilot

I mean, you were literally comparing them… lol

SonicFiasco

Where? I said "did you know X-men Legends 2 actually dropped that same day? now thats a good game". Never did I say they were the same type of game, just a comment saying 2 Marvel games dropped that day, one got great reviews and spawned a spinoff that ran for another 3 games, and the other one was panned by critics and forgotten as soon as it dropped. Again, never said they were similar games.

JustAnotherZakuPilot

… That’s literally the definition of comparing…..

SonicFiasco

Lol comparing their critical and fan reception? okay sure, comparing their gameplay? nope, you are just caught up on semantics trying to prove a point for nothing lol

JustAnotherZakuPilot

Bro…. Omg nvm lmao Jesus Christ.

FiftyFootMidget

I was ranked 2nd on this on Xbox for a good amount of time. Loved this game.

KameraLucida

Probably the only time EA published Spider Man related game.

diplomaticfave

I really liked the concept of this game back in the day. Paragon and Fault Zone were my favorites of the Imperfects.

Handsome121duck

I remember you could unlock pictures or cards of the characters. Something like that. But early on there was a super hot one of Storm. Young me found that memorable.

cam412

Can you play this on the switch?

Giagotos

Dolphin emulator and a rom and can play on phone

HightowerComics

I hated this game so much it was unreal lmao

Whosdad_702

Crazy only know 3 of the hero’s posted

DuglassBubletrousers

Daredevil was badass in this game. And Paragon is still one of the coolest characters I’ve seen in a fighting game before

ThaShadowX

This game is awesome. I lost my old copy then went searching for another and found it at vintage stock for like 12 bucks for my GameCube.

[deleted]

I bought the PS2 version along with Ulitimate Spider-Man and X-Men Legends II. It wiped out most of that weeks paycheck lol.

Mydogis_sodumb

I played this when it was new!!! WTF?

xHayz

God damn this game was so good. I remember flying around as dark Iron Man on OG Xbox. My mom would hook the generator up to the TV for an hour or so during Katrina to let me play this game, and it was the greatest escape ever.

Pocket_Fulla_Noodles

I remember that game, I still have it too I think

LoreMaster00

man, i loved the versus mode in this game. i'd just take spider-man and throw people for insta-wins.

YeetMasterChroma

I never fully understood the game's story tbh but it was a great game back then.

JadeDragon04

My main was Venom and his "You don't stand a chance" intro was my favorite

anakmager

one of my most played PS2 games. Also I remember how surprisingly great and memorable the soundtrack was

Professional_Serve22

OH. MY. GODD. #Throwback

Professional_Serve22

Spider-Man was by far the best character to play with.

Totalself1990

Game was pretty good for its time. Great new villains and nice assortment of heroes. Wish those villains could come back actually

Snoo16756

WEB SLINGIN’ A$$ KICKIN!

evanodst

Im pretty sure I had this for my game boy, or maybe my DS. Played the hell out of it then, doesn't look like it aged too well though

kerzeeben

I played it on PSP and loved it

ItssHennessy

This game was absolutely legendary I wish they made one like it today
