And they take it when they're at a concert filled with thousands of people cramped into a tiny space lol.
Always make a plan, saw a friend of mine end up in a hospital for 4-5 days from a seizure, their brain fried because they didn't drink water and wore heavy clothing.
Once shit gets going, it's hard to keep an eye on everyone but I always tried to watch my friends, but some people just are naive.
They're so happy they forget that overheating will cause them to seize.
A message Lil Jon was preaching years ago. [https://youtu.be/GlKL\_EpnSp8?t=85](https://youtu.be/GlKL_EpnSp8?t=85)
Much respect for any artist that cares about their fans. It's just good business!
Went to a Lamb of God and Megadeth show in Kansas City and Lamb of God stopped the show because of a fight, after all was clear they restarted. After the Astroworld incident I hope all artists do this.
Yeah I think Metal and Hardcore bands have bitter experience on this one. You gotta be strict on the violence, or people die, esp at festivacls or stadiums, all it needs is for violence to spread, you get a panic stampede, and suddenly you got dead kids. And its posion for the scene when that happens, it bankerupts festivals and traumatizes staff. Theres no room for error with large crowds, and the heavy bands know that and are pro's at getting the audiences to back the f\*\* down.
Lamb of God especially takes no chances anymore and even tells audiences to chill a bit nowadays. In 2010 a fan climbed on stage and was pushed off by Randy Blythe the singer of Lamb of God. Climbing onstage is something that is a big no-no in metal after in 2004 someone climbed on stage and shot 6 people including Dimebag Darrell.
The guy at the Lamb of God show ended up dying 2 days later from the fall (he was fine during and after the show but had some internal injury). Then in 2012 Randy was arrested when entering the Czech republic because apparently there was an arrest warrant for him because of the guy's death. Randy ended up in prison for weeks and eventually was acquitted.
Now they are more careful, not to prevent another court case but more to make sure that their fans are okay
Yea my uncle worked for festivals back in the days of heavy metal 🤘 and in a mosh pit witnessed a guy get thrown into a brick wall and die he quit after yhat
In my experience when you are in a mosh pit and you fall down most folks are quick to help you up and make room for you to get out of the pit of you need a minute.
Depends, if it's grindcore the fans are way too fucking wild. People doing kung-fu shit, I even got rocked one time from a spinning backfist this kid was doing and the people who helped me after a solid minute or two weren't the ones inside, it's the wall of people circling the pit.
Shit's fun though.
At a metal concert years ago, we saw a dude punch a girl maybe early 20s. She wasnt in the mosh, but got caught at the edge of it and dude knocked her out. Her boyfriend jumped in the pit and knocked the guy smooth the fuck out. Split his lip, made him swallow a tooth. Security didnt even put hands on the guy, they just asked him to leave and dragged out the unconscious dude.
Yeah it really depends. One of the scariest experiences of my life was getting caught in a push towards the stage, I'm 120lb and having an out of control mass of 300lb metalheads all around you is terrifying. I was trying my best to get myself and my similarly sized female friend away from the center of it was nearly impossible. None of them had the slightest awareness of what was going on or that 2 people were very close to being trampled to the floor. If either of us had actually gotten knocked down it would certainly have been very bad. That was one of the last shows like that I ever went to, it was just not cool and literally no one cared or had the awareness to pay the least bit of attention to the people around them. I've been to plenty of other events where people were much better human beings
Metal and hard rocks hows ive been to have been notoriously cogniscent of fans in trouble or people getting hurt. Both fans and bands always look to make sure everyone is good. Its been like that for decades. Even the mosh pits have unwritten rules.
Yea this is something i wasn't expecting especially after the last concert with whats his name just not giving a fuck as people are suffucating and being trampled on
Stopping to call paramedics is crucial either way. Checking on the person then explaining his condition, followed by advice to help try and avoid it happening to other people and handing out water is an extra step above and beyond. I also hate his music but if you respect your fans that goes a long way
I think I remember seeing another angle of this incident where he told everybody to get the fuck away from the person who was Ill, and made everybody make space for the paramedics so they could get to the person.
Then again, my memory is wack so I could very well have made all of that up.
His music isn’t for everyone. But this isn’t the first time he’s done something that was pretty nice. He seems to be a good dude that just does some wild shit. He does porn now lmao. But that obviously doesn’t make you a bad person.
Yeah it's Cool that he did that. Not a fan of how strongly he pushed drug culture (even more so than other rappers or rock stars) by basically making lean and Xanax this whole personality. But he was a teenager then so I blame the people around letting him do that more
They won’t get you on the radio if you don’t sing/rap what they want you to. When you sign on, they take full control of your public presence, and even your personality becomes part of your contract.
Not to mention the fact that rap culture has never been kind to people that come off as “soft” or “deep”. Those kinds of rappers still make it through on occasion, but the vast majority of them don’t, and they certainly aren’t as popular as the others.
"Drink some water" is the best advice you can give to someone doing recreational drugs. Shrooms, LSD, Molly, amphetamines, or coke.
Dehydration is also one of the main causes of hangovers too so drink two glasses of water after a night out.
Although also be careful not to overdo the water if you are taking ecstasy/MDMA. There have been a few deaths from that over the years.
>Drinking too much (including water) can also be dangerous. This is because ecstasy can cause the body to release a hormone which stops it making urine. If you drink too quickly you might affect your body's salt balance, which can be as deadly as not drinking enough water.
Sure its possible. But its very rare, and even rarer. that its anything serious, particularly at a festival where theres paramedics who are trained for all these sorts of things.
I mean are there any reported deaths attributed to drinking too much water while taking to hydrate while taking drugs.
And before anyone says well if you chug 5 gallons of water you’ll die yeah no shit
BUT i am positing that no one has died from hydrating during from use. Drug Overdose sure, water overdose nah
Here are at 2 attributed to ecstasy.
* [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death\_of\_Leah\_Betts](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Leah_Betts)

The Leah Betts one was very famous at the time in the UK. It was somehow sadder and more tragic because she was following the advice of the time to drink water as ravers had been dropping from dehydration/exhaustion. To quote the Wikipedia article:
>She had apparently been in observation of an advisory warning commonly given to ravers which stated drinking water would help her avoid dehydration as a result of continuous dancing
You're mistaken. There have been reported deaths from too much water, usually by people on ecstasy. It happens because they drink so much water that their electrolyte balance gets out of whack, and they don't replenish their salts (because ecstasy also kills your appetite for food).
Yo only on Reddit is everyone all "yeah, brah, drinking water is good" and you can deadass 1000% expect someone to swoop in and say some shit like this.
You forgot to mention that people drown or choke, or fall asleep in the bathtub.
No ones saying drinking water isn’t good, you just need to moderate. We’re not being asshole Debbie downers, this is legit a concern. Growing up, at school they made us all read a story called [Anna’s Story](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Wood_(born_1980)) where she took ecstasy but drank way too much water and died from water intoxication. Even at raves when we’re rolling and we pass out water we always tell each other “sip it!”
This isn't a pedantic correction being issued to make people feel all smug; it's literally a thing to be aware of ***in this exact situation.***
Lots of people will - as in the OP - recommend 'drink lots of water' if you're taking drugs, and it's not actually safe to do that if you're taking certain kinds of drugs, because you'll effectively ***overdose on the water***.
Being aware of that is smart drug-taking too.
And you just know the statement “don’t do drugs” ain’t gonna do shit at that point. The water tip was honestly the best advice that could have been given there
As a concert-goer in Texas, this applies to drinking alcohol, too. Alternate between drinking a serving of alcohol and water. This includes beer. You’ll be able to go longer and harder plus you won’t feel as bad the next day.
Even if you’re stone cold sober, hydration is important!
I wouldn't put psychedelics in the same category stimulants, and I'd argue the setting is way more important than what substance you use. When you do Molly chilling at home on your couch, you can get away with not drinking a lof of water.
Being out on a party/concert/festival however where you move and dance a lot, you need tons of water, even if you're completely sober.
That's true but they don't necessarily hype you up to dance and move more than usually (at least for me). Psychedelics make you unaware of dehydration, but stimulants make you unaware of dehydration AND cause you to lose more water, so still a different caliber imo.
Y'all have no idea who travis scott is and still pretend to know everything about what happened to his concert, for sure I should have act different, but say that is all his fault is objectively wrong for so many reason
Just checked his wiki and it’s not that bad. I think the worst thing is he got banned from JetBlue for not wearing a mask in 2020. No violent crimes or anything. Idk, though, don’t know anything about him.
Full disclosure I liked him until he became a MAGA person out of nowhere. He was one of those people raving about communism and praising trump publicly during election times. That’s all I was talking about really
This is Reddit. They don't care about different opinions, it's largely a hive-mind with a few hubs that disagree (but then bam, they become quarantined which is pretty close to being deleted)
I remember being at an indoor house music event. Did some Ketamine, and was feeling like shit. I went to recoup myself at a high table near the bar. For some reason I could hear 2 girls talking 10 feet or so away from me, and one of them says I look like I need help, so they come toe.and watch me while I drink water.
I want to say thank you, and I always remember that memory of a random strangers making sure I was doing fine.
Still dislike his music lol, but dudes good in my book. My boss had a seizure at work once and everyone just wanted to fuckin stand around and stare. I cant fucking stand that shit. Had to start ordering people around to make sure he got cared for and was safe. I respect anyone who cares about and makes an effort to help people who's health is obviously in immediate jeopardy. Good on you, Lil Pump.
If he would've stopped his social media antics and just dropped good music, which he has done on a few occasions, he could've made it and not looked like such a clown nowadays
I'm gonna listen to that, thx!
Btw in this video I was very pleasantly surprised, I thought he's always a giant douchebag, but apparently he has his good moments too.
Not every musician wants to be an artist, some are primarily entrepreneurs. If repetitive music and antics are showing a solid return, then it makes sense that those efforts are where he invest his time.
Seriously im reading these comments wondering what hes getting insanely praised for. Not letting someone die? Or get trampled on? Have standards fallen this low lol?
Or for simply holding the door for someone? I mean if you see someone having a seizure you dont just ignore it. Its not that spectacular. Hes not a hero for this lmao. Hes just maybe not a scumbag.
Hahahaha i made a sound when i read your comment 🤣
Ffs its a seizure maybe even caused by his own flashing lights and stuff. I agree with maybe just not a scumbag. At the highest its that!
What’s the purpose in mentioning you don’t like his music? You couldnt have just said he gained your respect and moved on? People always have to bring out the negativity in a positive situation.
Don't get your panties in a twist. I'm sharing my opinion, that's what comments are for. If you don't like it you can always follow your own advice and move on.
The EMTs and paramedics on scene who dedicated their lives to training to help people and handle energent situations like this are the ones who potentially saved his life. Good on the rapper for pointing out the situation, but he's not the one people should be praising
Good to see some humanity. Hopefully all the rapper’s learned something from watching Travis Scott be a complete piece of shit at his concert that killed all those people.
I don’t listen to rap, and especially have never listened to a mumble rap song in full, but this lil pump just got all the respect possible from me. That’s was very honorable.
I am old and have no idea who this is, but damn good for you bro. Stopping a concert to protect your fans, that's some badass level shit. More kindness like this please in the world.

"PLEASE DRINK WATER I'M DEADASS" True, though.
r/hydrohomies
Exactly
Most people doing MDMA don’t realize they’re over heating until it’s too late. Always take a break to cool down and hydrate.
And they take it when they're at a concert filled with thousands of people cramped into a tiny space lol. Always make a plan, saw a friend of mine end up in a hospital for 4-5 days from a seizure, their brain fried because they didn't drink water and wore heavy clothing. Hello deadass, I'm Gilbert guyh.
I’m putting that on a poster and hanging it up at work lmao

Not my thing but I am a fan of anyone who cares enough to stop what they are doing for the good of a stranger.
Went to a Lamb of God and Megadeth show in Kansas City and Lamb of God stopped the show because of a fight, after all was clear they restarted. After the Astroworld incident I hope all artists do this.

Unlike that other guy....
Yeah... I forgot who that was.... Was his name Travis? 👀 Eugh yuck..
[удалено]
Lil pump might be a big moron but atleast he appreciates the fans.
Hey I gave you the 69th upvote
Prison Mike?
He pinches them...
Same here, not my type of music but fuck that guy is one great human being. Killing it professionally and personally with his fans.
Yea this is something i wasn't expecting especially after the last concert with whats his name just not giving a fuck as people are suffucating and being trampled on
Started handing out water afterward too, that’s so dope.
I’ve always thought Lil Pump was trash with his music but I gotta admit this made me respect him. It’s cool for an artist to do something like that.

Hopefully it does so us lil pumpers can have some representation. LETS GO LIL P
Porn????
it’s this thing where people have sex on camera for money
Did I miss something?
Lol lil pump as his pornstar name
Lmao that’s news to me! Did not know he did porn but can’t hate on that cuz we all be watching the nasty lol
Yeah, hate the art, not the artist
For real better than Travis Scott lmao
That's an incredibly low bar. But good on Lil Pump all the same.
Yeah it's Cool that he did that. Not a fan of how strongly he pushed drug culture (even more so than other rappers or rock stars) by basically making lean and Xanax this whole personality. But he was a teenager then so I blame the people around letting him do that more

I always sense dehydration on stims. I got one of those nice yeti gallon jugs I like to keep with me. Shit keeps ice, actual ice for literal days
Nurse the water though. Chugging 2 glasses just gonna make you hurl and sleep like shit

Came looking for this comment and was not disappointed
Was disappointed how far down I gotta go to upvote. People so thirsty they don’t even know it.
A fan's life comes first.
Tell that to Travis Scott
Every time I see a video of a performer stopping their show to help someone, it makes me hate Travis Scott more.
you can tell which rap artist actually care about their fans.
Y'all have no idea who travis scott is and still pretend to know everything about what happened to his concert, for sure I should have act different, but say that is all his fault is objectively wrong for so many reason
Did you even watch what ***actually*** happened at that concert?
I don't even really know who he is, but I'm a fan now
Spend 30 seconds on Google and you won’t be lol
Just checked his wiki and it’s not that bad. I think the worst thing is he got banned from JetBlue for not wearing a mask in 2020. No violent crimes or anything. Idk, though, don’t know anything about him.
Full disclosure I liked him until he became a MAGA person out of nowhere. He was one of those people raving about communism and praising trump publicly during election times. That’s all I was talking about really
He legit just did that out of fear of losing popularity which happened anyway lol
Wow yeah, it’s so terrible that he has a different political opinion than yours… what are you, 5?
Different political opinion/not a fan of people that support sedition and traitors...
This is Reddit. They don't care about different opinions, it's largely a hive-mind with a few hubs that disagree (but then bam, they become quarantined which is pretty close to being deleted)
Oh no minority has different opinion . Such a bad person .
I mean, a white person with the same opinions is also a piece of shit, so...
Yes people who intentionally spread false information for the purpose of their own personal gain are genuinely very bad people
Good thing it wasn’t Travis Scott up there, he probably would have told the crowd to beat up the guy having a seizure
Wow I had to laugh a little because of the ubsurdity of this. But yes, I think you might even be right. Sadly
What?
Travis Scott should take notes
So I could be wrong but I think because of Travis Scott’s incident, lot of artists are learning from his mistake.
As they should
Travis Scott is a monster
brother to brother communications
EEEESSSSSSSKEEEETTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
A true hydro homie
He also advocated for hydration. Very positive
Lil pump's concerts aren't as breathtaking as Travis Scott's
It’s worth dying for
I remember being at an indoor house music event.
This shows what a shit person Travis Scott is
Still dislike his music lol, but dudes good in my book.
The problem is, he's a shit musician and all of his fame is built on the antics.
There's a few songs that show he can actually do more than be repetitive. iSHYNE is a good example.
I'm gonna listen to that, thx! Btw in this video I was very pleasantly surprised, I thought he's always a giant douchebag, but apparently he has his good moments too.
gotta consider the production tho - the *lyrics* and flow of iSHYNE are pretty meh, but carnage absolutely demolished that beat so it hits
Lyrics are never gonna be good on a pump song but the energy fucking hits
Not every musician wants to be an artist, some are primarily entrepreneurs. If repetitive music and antics are showing a solid return, then it makes sense that those efforts are where he invest his time.
Haters gonna hate
thats his style though you just sound like a straight hater.
Damn I wasn't, and prob still won't be a fan,of lil pump's music. But he just gained my respect
Lol he did not do anything admirable. He was just doing the human thing. no one gains my respect by doing the most logical thing there is.
Seriously im reading these comments wondering what hes getting insanely praised for. Not letting someone die? Or get trampled on? Have standards fallen this low lol?
Right? What will be the next thing? Someone filming a young person helping and elder cross the road? SUCH ADMIRABLE
Or for simply holding the door for someone? I mean if you see someone having a seizure you dont just ignore it. Its not that spectacular. Hes not a hero for this lmao. Hes just maybe not a scumbag.
Hahahaha i made a sound when i read your comment 🤣 Ffs its a seizure maybe even caused by his own flashing lights and stuff. I agree with maybe just not a scumbag. At the highest its that!
Are you guys done jerking each other off?
Not yet
Respect ✊
Thanks fam. We good now 😌
Personally checking on the fan was an extra step, as was handing out water bottles
“YAAAYY WOOOO THIS GUY IS DOING SOMETHING ANY OTHER RATIONAL HUMAN BEING WOULD DO YEAAAAAA!!!”
The opposite of a Travis Scott concert
I don't care for his music but he's got my respect for this.
If I was Lil Pump, I'd feel awkward at people cheering me for helping to save someone. I'd feel like I'm putting in a show that's staged. Idk
I think they were cheering because he said the guy was going to be ok, so it’s really for the guy having a seizure rather than the rapper
Even fucking Lil Pump can do it... Meanwhile Travis Scott will be singing moaning while he watches a dead body being carried
Compare this vs Travis Scott. Need celebrities that genuinely care about their fans/people in general. Love to see this
It’s almost as if water should be freely available at all large gatherings instead of sold in bottles for $5.
Travis scott take notes buddy
You have this guy and then you have the fuckhead named travis scott
Better than travis scott
The EMTs and paramedics on scene who dedicated their lives to training to help people and handle energent situations like this are the ones who potentially saved his life. Good on the rapper for pointing out the situation, but he's not the one people should be praising
Those who died at the Travis Scott were the precedent of giving a shit about safety
Not a fan of his music, but a fan of the person now. I'm deadass.
Take notes Travis.
I may hate his music, but gotta give mad respect to him for his good heart
it's the simplest advice but so many people forget to drink water or don't prioritize it enough at festivals
first time ive had respect for lil pump
not a lil pump fan but after this goat move, maybe we are.

I wouldn't call him an artist but he does seem to be a decent human being unlike fucking Travis.
As much as I don’t care for his music, something like this earns my respect instantly.
Pretty sure the paramedics helped him but it was still a cool thing to do
Paramedics wouldn't be helpful if the guy having a seizure was trampled or they could actually get to the guy
Why is anyone acting like he didn’t do that just to play off the Astroworld tragedy?..
who cares? even if that's the case he still did a good thing stopping the show to help the fan
I didn’t say he didn’t do a good thing, lots of good things are done for bad reasons.
Man got a seizure listening to his music
Everybody wanna be like him
Hippies!! Hydrate!!
Respect
Lil Pump ain't the best person, but compare this to Travis Scott's concert...
Compare to Travis Scott who encouraged everyone to crash through the barriers.
Learn something, Travis Scott.
Travis Scott could never
This is how you react! Respect to Lil Pump! Your don't disengage, hype up your crowd byond control or well flip off the sky cough... Cough...
Imagine people thinking your respect means anything especially if your aren’t a paying fan lol
Good to see some humanity. Hopefully all the rapper’s learned something from watching Travis Scott be a complete piece of shit at his concert that killed all those people.
This should be the standard for all artists and concerts. 🤘🏻
Theres a small voice in me telling me hes doing it for clout
Not a fan of his, but it was nice he did that
It really is as simple as that. Take care of each other at festies and shows! Hydrate or die.
Perhaps we treated you too harshly
Someone show this to Travis Scott.
See, Travis? It's not that hard.
TRAVIS SCOTT PAY CLOSE ATTENTION ON HOW TO HANDLE THESE SITUATIONS FFS
Evil Travis Scott be like
Stark contrast with the “fuck the system - ignore the unconscious person” rapper
Honestly just fucking cool. Good that he cares, he checked on the fan after the medics arrived, and he wanted water passed out. Awesome to see
I have never listened to a single Lil Pump song but just going by this he's good in my book.
Un Travis scott
The stark difference between this reaction and Travis Scott’s reaction….
“I did it all for compassion! Yeah. Compassion! Yeah. Compassion! Yeah.”
I may not like his music. But he's a cool cat.
More kindness like this please in the world.
r/hydrohomies
After Travis Scott, it seems amazing to watch someone not act like a psychopath
Evil Travis Scott be like :
Lil Pimp
\#hydrohomie
It's nice to know he's a kl guy
can’t believe even the MAGA rapper is a better person than Travis Scott
