He really is a super man!
By - dfdfdfddaww
Omg imagine actually showing up with superman. That kid is going to be so cool.
He's gonna Steel the show.
If you knew it was a joke you should’ve just left it at that
It's a reference to "Man of Steel" intended as a pun, I think.
I think that was the joke. Like man of steel. Steel the show.
You ruined the joke lol
I'm guessing you are referencing that SNL skit from a couple weeks ago, but to everyone who didn't see it, you just look like a racist piece of shit.
Yeah, I get the joke too, it’s unfortunate. Poor guy.
He really got screwed over there. Then again he probably should've clarified that it's a reference to SNL. Poor guy.
Imagine growing up and thinking “why didn’t I get my uncle’s genes?”
I would imagine the kid would realise that if it's his Mothers Brother in law, then he is not blood related.
But Henry might be his father's brother, therefore the brother in law of his mother. So they share some blood, I dont know for sure but I thing Henry Cavill was single when this story came out so it makes sense.
The only way we can know for sure is a blood sample. So let’s get it done
I'll bring the tranquilizer.
Should I shoot the kid or his uncle?
Have you seen the size of his uncle? Definitely the kid
He is not uncle Ben.
Hes uncle clark
How does one get a blood sample from Superman?
Or the husband of her sister....
Bruhhhh he single
I didn't know that.
We're talking about the UK, no? They're probably related in one way or another.
Henry is the dad's brother. And there are FIVE of them, all pretty damn gorgeous. Henry, at 6'4 is the runt of the litter. One brother is a Royal Marine - the UK equivalent of Navy SEALS.
Swooning over here
That's at least 10 butt cheeks! 12 if you count mine, and I do. 😘
Yes, I understood that. What I’m saying is it’s one thing to think I wish I had Henry Cavill’s genes, but it’s gotta be weird to think of that and it’s your uncle.
Imagine judging a 7 year old physique on his 38 year old, Hollywood action hero uncles physique.
Henry Cavill didn’t always look that hot. He was kinda scrawny when he first started out.
Imagine being superman
I really like the look on the kids face. He's already thinking about his classmates and how stupid they've been
Right? This is a kid on a mission
"Listen here you little fuckers"
"Just you wait!!! Today is the day!!
I could not help but read that in George Costanza’s voice
It would be really funny if they go into the classroom but everyone is all sombre because a School staff or classmate passed away. The kid would be like, "Hey guys I brought Super..."
"SHUT THE FUCK UP, CAN'T YOU SEE WE'RE MOURNING?!"
well you're a little ball of sunshine aren't you?
I have been told my presence causes skin cancer :(
ok this is gonna sound insane, but I'm going to the dermatologist to get screened for skin cancer literally later this afternoon lmaooooo. what are the odds
e: appreciate the kind words guys :D
ayo i know im not related to this conversation at all but i hope you dont end up having skin cancer my dude
Oh fuck I'm sorry. Now I feel like the idiot who brought in his famous uncle at an inappropriate time. Wishing you the best!
it's ok man. idk I'm a nihilist so I'm just vibing lol. thanks for the kind words from u and others tho!
no skin cancer guys💯😎
Uh, username checks out, I guess...
Seriously though, I hope things turn out well for you!
And the fact that he’s midway through opening a box of raisinets just adds to the “I can’t wait to see those losers faces” attitude
Unfortunately I fact checked this and it's a false story. Picture has nothing to do with it and Henry never went to the school. Kid was indeed telling his uncle is superman and his mother had to explain to the teacher that this time he wasn't really telling stories.
The picture is taken on a day walk with the whole family.
So the story isn't really true and the picture is taken out of context.
Thanks for the fact check. Crazy that someone actually complained.
This would have been one of those stories that hurts no one and could have been left alone without a fact check.
I tend to agree, but for whatever reason I prefer to know the truth, as there are a ton of real good stories out there, several shown here daily. I should've marked it with spoiler alert or something for those not wanting to know.
I thought about it for a minute, and here's how I believe I feel the wat I do.
Libraries have the decency to categorize fiction separately, and I like it that way. A lot of the bad things people are doing these days is because too many people believe anything they read, especially if it feeds into their narrative. We should be able to separate facts from fiction. And on that note, if you absolutely want to believe in the story, go ahead. I'm just a random stranger on the internet, I could have been lying. Just don't check it and you'll be okay.
I think fact checking should be built into who we are as without it we're willing to believe anything that feels good to us.
I know it's a stretch here to think this story would lead to something bad, but facts are facts, and we're not at a party, so I'm allowed to poop.
I agree with you completely. I think it was a matter of the library reference. Having things categorized into fiction and non fiction would absolutely be nice these days. Unfortunately it’s all mixed up together and it’s impossible to know without research.
You’re right. It is definitely important to be naturally curious on the facts. Usually, I am. But in this case I was ok with sticking with that and not much else. But this is just one story of many that can absolutely turn into what we see today with people wanting to believe anything that they are happiest believing.
So therefore, I take back my initial feeling of disappointment in your comment. I could double check if you were correct, but i won’t, and I will think of you when I see comments in the future who include what they are able to discover about a story, even if it’s intention is innocent.
My personal feeling on one story isn’t justification for the truth not being known. It’s too broad of a spectrum to ever have that be the way of things.
Thank you for your input on it.
Thank you for everything that you said.
To give credit where credit is due, Bill Burr said on Conan something along the lines of "did you learn it in a library? If you didn't, I don't believe you. There they clearly separate fiction into their own category, everywhere else it's free for all." I'm paraphrasing of course, but that hit me. We dim the lines and we don't care about fact checking anymore. Well, many of us don't. That would be one way for things to get better. It's just as important when the "fact" feels good as it is when it feels bad.
Love Bill Burr :) Just saw him at the laugh factory last week!
Completely agree. Stay curious!
Omg! I’m seeing bill burr this October at the laugh factory too!
*Loved your guys’ above interaction btw, very wholesome, mademesmile :)
I really want to believe that people care about the truth more than this.
Sure, it didn't do any harm, but why wouldn't you rather know the real story?
Cavill has the look of a man who knows some shit is about to go down.
The worst part is that if you read the article it was the TEACHER that didn't believe him and started the other kids harassing him.
The education system is a fucking joke
Somebody gonna get a hurt real bad
"I'll show those fools who they're messing with today!"
That was my thought exactly. Kid knows how this is going to go down.
Imagine your uncle being the Witcher… 😎
Or John Wick. Or Ip Man. I’m not even remotely Asian, but I’d totally bring Ip Man
And Donnie Yen in his "normal guy" clothes is fashionable and cool AF, and from some pics I've seen incredibly ripped.
To be fair your uncle doesn’t have to be the same race as you.
True. Uncle is couch. Am potato salad.
When Tom’s in high school abs gets dropped off by the Witcher he’ll be the man all over again.
Yep. Most schools have a "no guns" policy but not so sure they thought ahead to a "no swords" policy.
Even cooler lol
Yeah, this would be much cooler to me.
But I haven't been 7 for a loooooong time.
Henry Cavill is fine AF
I'm only gay for him... And Ryan Reynolds.... And Chris Evans
Just be gay for yourself! Lol
My son IS gay and we have amicably divided the Hemsworths between us.
This is one of my favorite comments. Wish I had an award to give for the gut busting laughter you gave me.
Or just be bi. Trust me, it saves you A LOT of explanations.
And Chris Hemsworth
I think I'd bang Hemsworth too
Chris Hemsworth is Thor; *he'd* be banging *you*.
I LOLed greatly, thank you 😂
Chris Evans the ginger radio presenter? 😉
You’re homophobic if you won’t be gay for those 3
Those are my three too, not so much Ryan reynolds. I mean don't get me wrong, he's awesome, but he's not Henry Cavill or Chris Evans awesome.
You don't have to be gay for them
You have excellent taste.
Gay for superheroes, got it
Jacksepticeye??????? (personal opinion but also a genuine question)
First noticed him in Tudors. The scene with him and Henry VIII sister had me DROOLING lol. He is so beautiful it isn’t even fair to the rest of us mere mortals.
Me too! Been following him ever since. Just ridiculously hot. Ridiculous.
Like inhumanly hot. I have a thing for the dark hair/light eyes combo and GODDAMM. He’s got it in spades.
Just look at his biceps trying to break free from his shirt! He’s an exquisite specimen who is a walking thirst trap.
That kids face just says
"Today those fuckers will learn"
Henry Cavill tells the story https://youtu.be/7N_eeUlmIoc
I was wondering if it was true. That’s a awesome story
Toss a coin to your uncle, oh valley of plenty
What we don't hear is how much he negotiated the price for this Witcher contract with his sister-in-law
I had JUST gotten that song out of my head.... now it's back.
Seemingly one of the coolest, most down to earth mainstream actors out there.
And also one of the biggest targets for public sexual harassment. Interviews with him are often disgusting to listen to.
100%. The way women audibly creep and perv over him is disgusting. There's nothing wrong with finding him handsome, but they clearly cross the line in so many ways that he can't hide his discomfort sometimes, and they still don't pick up on it and stop.
100%. He is so genuine and kind
Henry is looking kinda excited to disprove those kids.
He sees his nephews face and honestly who couldn’t giggle at the imminent mic drop this kid has clearly been planning.
Lil story: My friend went to the same gym in London as HC and had no clue who the guy was. He kept telling me there’s this super nice and super hot guy at my gym for like 6 months. They had lil chats, even were in the sauna room together at times. One day, me and my friend decided to have a Netflix binge night and started the witcher. 10 mins in he’s like « omg this dude looks exactly like the hot dude i keep telling u abt at the gym. What’s the actor’s name? i got to tell henry abt it »....and this is when i vowed, to drag my friend out of the rock, he’s been living under for the past 10 yrs.
Hahaha that's amazing! I'm so glad you shared this story!
I kinda wish he hadn't realized right then and excitedly told him about the "guy that looks just like him in some Netflix show" I'd love to hear Henry's reaction.
This made me chuckle hahah
The truest of hero's go out of their way to make people smile. ^ - ^
I hope this guy is never ruined by some scandal or something. He seems like such a genuinely good person and I always enjoy his movies and shows.
He likes young girls and dated a high schooler
If you’re referencing Tara King she was in college. Still kind of a weird age gap though
Yeah, he dated a 19 year old when he was 33.
That is a weird age gap, true. But he’s dating a 31 year old woman now.
So a) not high school (as the previous post to yours said) and b) legal in all respects
I think the US has a big stick up its ass about some things because the legal age for sex is 18 and drinking is 21. UK / Jersey where Cavill and King grew up is 16 / 18 accordingly, so this was nowhere near as "close to the wind" as many ppl make out.
Let adults be adults, they didn't hurt anybody and are both fairly young by most people's standards.
I remember being in university at 18 and being shocked at 3rd years dating 1st years. As soon as you get out of the education system that silos people into year groups, nobody gives a shit unless its truly "I don't even need to ask to know you two are decades apart".
RIP. I mean she was of age I know but it's always that kind of, "Yeah it's legal but why would you want to?" Type question. Looks like he bailed pretty quickly, guessing it was due to backlash from the internet or just not being able to get past the fact that she was so young. It'd become apparent pretty quickly that they're in two different stages of life.
I agree it’s odd but why the RIP?
Henry Cavil might of not of been the best Superman actor but he is definitely my favorite man who’s filled the role and one of my favorite actors in general. And hey, a good actor can only do so much with a BvS-tier script
and his performance as Geralt was awesome
I actually liked BvS. I only watched the director cut version so I dont know what was shown in theaters, but I thought they set it up decently and I genuinely enjoyed Batfleck (although they tried to make him too much like Tony stark in justice league).
Id agree that the ending was the weakest part of the movie though
He’s walking out wild and mean 😂, I’m going to show you today
The kids: "Your uncle's not Superman!"
He’s a really cool dude bro
I LOVE IT! But he's also the Witcher. ;-)
I can hear it. See! I told you! But you didnt believe me. Now look at you all. Sittin there with that stupid look on your face, jaw on the floor. Kneel before me!
Cavill is next fucking level. Love to see such positive behavior. Even if it is family. If you have not yet check out his video on him building his new gaming PC. Dude is an epic gamer!
The determination on this is face, he's about to go full Chris angel on some class mates
THIS STORY IS FALSE he never took his Nephew to school, the Teacher asked the Boys mother that yiu son is telling everyone that superman is his uncle, and the mother said yes,
This is some random pic of Henry taking his son out.
There's mny videos on YouTube regarding this of Henry in interview explaining this story
That kids face. He is like *those mf are gonna get it now*
He then proceeded to beat the living shit out of those kids
To a child, Henry Cavil might as well be as strong as Superman in a 1 on 1 fight against them
Nice nice made me smile
Henry Cavill man-crush. I want to hang out with that dude.
Comeback of the century
Would kids even recognise him as Superman?
The Snyder DC movies are not really kid friendly if I'm honest
My Man Crusshhhh
Henry is an actual good person and not enough people know about it
*Everyone liked that*
He looks like hes about to fuckin DUNK on some kid
That kids face is just glowing with “I’m gonna show them” and I’m here for it.
Nice story but why is the kid in the photo with Geralt of Rivia?
Wasn’t this the ending to Shazam?
I've seen this over and over...and it still makes me happy...
For 7yr old that is the ultimate badass moment walking into school with Superman......... Now at 14 if he could get Wonder Woman that would top it.
I bet those moms had some cream running down their pants
What will the kids say when the Witcher shows up?
Bet his schoolmates will never fuck with that kid when he's got Superman and Geralt of Rivia on speed dial.
The look on his face 😂 “I got those fuckers now”
Hey that's not Superman, that's Clark Kent?!
My friend in primary school had Chris Reeve as her godfather. He came over the Scotland for her eight birthday party and blew everyone’s mind. The best bit was when one of the other adults asked him how his flight had been and we all thought he had flow across the Atlantic without a plane 😂
2) this is actually a lie, learn more [here](https://www.techarp.com/internet/henry-cavill-nephew-superman/)
What a man.
Whoa, he dresses fit.
Did she make him shave the mustache?
He’s such a sweet man
> Now stop your bullying or I'll do to you what I did to Zod
*Kids all grab their necks and runaway crying*
now i wonder if i tell people at work i know superman...
love kid's game on!!! face
I swear I see this exact post a few times a week
Lmao kids looking hard for the bastard child who said that
Ayyy me and Tom have the same shirt. Those velcro patches on the shoulders are to attach the cape.
Like the closing scene of Shazam, very cool!
Those kids were right though. His uncle isn’t Superman, just Clark Kent. Kinda disappointed tbh.
I saw this a few weeks ago, still made me smile today. Happy Friday everyone.
Applebees, I ate there one time and got food poisoning. Never again
AND a Toblerone?!
I really want to see how this went
"i mean cmon what are the odds he was actually gonna roll up w superman"
\~the former coolest kid in class
Kinda disappointed that he didn’t show up in his costume. I’m sure they let him keep at least one.
A true s**t’s about to get real moment
Really bothers me when people take photos of celebs on the street, especially if they are with their family.
That little dude’s face. Gah. The look of sweet determination and “yeah fuckers, who’s got the last laugh now?” almost made me tear up.
Henry is the man
That man is the most gorgeous in the world!
And he made all the ladies in the area pregnant.
Way to go Mom and 7 year old.
made me smile.
Think this is henry cavil’s account?
the Superman ffs!
No he is Gerald of Rivia!!
But Cavill isn’t married?
Henry said on a talk show that the teacher called his sister in law and told her that her son was making up wild stories. Mom had to set her straight: "Well, actually...."
Many of us may have thought our dad was Batman when we were little but none of us had Superman for an uncle. Sigh.
henry cavill is so wholesome :)
