My daughter does this thing where she jumps up and down and kinda flaps here arms like they are little wings when she gets really excited… I love to see it
One lad at my school shaved a perfect tennis ball pattern in his head and sprayed his hair tennis ball yellow.
He was only at the school for a year but he was a well known legend just because of that one crazy hair day.
May you all find wonderful surrogate dads. Even if you have good family members, there are normally some things you need that they can't fill and that's okay. Those things can be found in others, though. I hope you all find those people.
Friends!!!! It’s not too late to ask a framily member to help you have a crazy hair day! Do it right now! It will be so fun, and you have the wisdom and experience to really appreciate it and not take it for granted.
Even if you don’t have the courage to go out in public with your crazy hair, do a photo shoot and then just hang at the house with yummy snacks or something!
I have 3 kids, but my youngest boy? He sounds just like her when he's excited. It's the most beautiful sound in the world. I've never ever felt more grounded and tethered to a moment than when I'm on the couch tickling him, and he makes this noise. It's literally what I live for.
I got two young boys that make this same squeal when I'm rough housing with them. Best feeling ever. I'm gonna miss it like hell when they get older and go through the inevitable "too cool for dad" phase of life.
I also have 2 boys. They're 15 months apart, and right now, they're currently 7 and 5 (almost 6). They're thick as thieves, worst enemies, soul mates. I can't imagine the depth of their relationship, but it's absolutely something special.
My brother is 22 months older than me and it’s basically the same thing here. I’d do terrible things to anybody who would try and hurt him. I’m the one who gets to decide if he’s in pain today, nobody else lol
He is truly the best gift that my parents could have ever given me.
Future you checking in a dozen years down the road - our two boys are the same ages apart. All of this. (And watching them have just as much fun and be just as silly when the oldest is home from college are the moments I live for!)
It’s adorable! Just want to put this out here though (no criticism to the dad he’s obviously a very caring parent): If you use hairspray on your kid please please PLEASE make sure they keep their mouth closed and tell them to hold their breath! Same goes for adults, hairspray has a lot of chemicals that you really don’t want in your system.
Me too really. I'm an old mechanic, retired now and the kids are off on their own. One of my favorite things to remember is learning how to do braids and braiding my youngest daughter's hair while she had breakfast before school. I even did a pretty good french braid when I was on top of my game there. It was tough being a dad sometimes, but that was fun and I still remember her smiles when she checked it out in the mirror.
John Lennon said himself "Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans"
Cannot forget that the present is just as important as the future.
To be fair John Lennon did aknowledge his wrongdoings and was trying to better himself, which can't be said for most people who have made bad decisions.
I lost my dad in 22. Please take comfort in knowing those will be and are some of her most cherished memories. My pops did the same. I'm so grateful, and it meant so much my navy badass tough dad did my hair. Every braid was perfect to me, and nothing to this day will change my mind. Know that her happiness isn't limited to now either. I often think of those tender moments and my heart is complete still till this day.
I wish you nothing but good health and happiness. Without a doubt, you are and always will be her superman. Thanks for sharing and letting me do a bit of reminiscing too, man.
Plus, I mean... this is probably all being done right before school, so they must have woken up extra early in the morning. I am not a morning person AT ALL, and I totally respect anyone who can get up at ass o'clock and be this cheerful and fun.
Shoot... I've seen this video before, and I watched it again just to see their smiles. 🥰
Loved crazy hair day. I remember putting a red solo cup on my head, securing my hair around it and having other pieces secured with like wire or pipe cleaners to do a Cindy Lou Who-type style ( Jim Carrey's Grinch ) one year. So fun.
I once did a pippy longstocking hairdo when I worked at a preschool with a wire coat hanger and A LOT of hairspray. The kids would laugh when I clotheslined myself walking in the door.
One lad at my school shaved a perfect tennis ball pattern in his head and sprayed his hair tennis ball yellow.
He was only at the school for a year but he was a well known legend just because of that one crazy hair day.
If I ever attempted to do this to my kid’s hair, it would end up on r/fuckmyshitup Glad there’s dads out there who are competent
E: I meant r/justfuckmyshitup
its a lot work, time, and money for sure, having a family. but the rewards are more gratifying than anything else ive done with my life. best of luck to you friend
I think it’s just silver, pink, and purple hairspray. No criticism to him at all, but I just want to remind everyone that if you use hairspray on your kid make sure they don’t have their mouths open and tell them to hold their breath!!! And same goes for adults, you seriously do not want those chemicals in your respiratory system.
Looks like just a basic wash-out hair color. You spray it on like spray paint and it comes out in the shower. You can find them at party stores or most places that sell hair dye.
Edit: I think [this](https://a.co/d/eTpgb9W) is the specific brand they're using in the vid.
cheap hair color spray that you can get at a lot of salons. my boys begged for it, and we bought 3 colors, they only last a day, less if they get sweaty or wet, it washes out right away
This kind of stuff always gets me. When I was little, I had very long curly hair. My mom was way too impatient to comb it, and it hurt. It became my dad's job, we'd sit there and watch TV with a big bottle of No More Tangles.
God there is just something so damn addicting about a child's laughter and that special kind of squeak scream they do when they're happy. Melts my heart every single time.
The look on her face had my tears swelling. Then dads face at the end pulled it all out and now I’m bawling. Love seeing such precious moments from people instead of the vitriol that’s usually on the internet.
Shrieks of pure happiness haha. All the way up into my early 30s, I enjoyed dyeing my hair wild colors. My parents didn’t love it, but it just pleased some hard-to-please part of my spirit so I did what I wanted.
Seeing how happy he looks makes me happy too. I remember my dad doing my hair on the off day my mom wasn’t there and having uneven pigtails for school picture day. This is pure memories and bonding.
In 3rd grade we had crazy hair day and I got up extra early so my mom could paint the Mohawk we cut from the night before kinda like this. I locked my knees while she was doing it and passed out and hit my head on the bathroom floor. Instead of spending crazy hair day at school I spent it in the hospital with a concussion and a silver and red Mohawk.
The look of pure joy on her face is priceless!!!
Both of them!
So adorable, she's so excited for her ridiculous hair colour. Dad fucking nailed it.
Cuteness overload
Those squeals of delight! So precious!!!
I love how happy the dad is to bond with his daughter. It melts my heart.
The happiest parenting moments for me are when I see my daughter genuinely happy.
My daughter does this thing where she jumps up and down and kinda flaps here arms like they are little wings when she gets really excited… I love to see it
My daughter used to do that as well. She’s twelve now and I don’t really see it anymore, but it was pretty adorable.
That's my happy stim, too :)
Can I be your daughter too? You seem like a nice human being :')
Makes all the hard work well and truly worth it.
That’s a real man
Same. It’s so cute they’re both having a moment.
One lad at my school shaved a perfect tennis ball pattern in his head and sprayed his hair tennis ball yellow. He was only at the school for a year but he was a well known legend just because of that one crazy hair day.
where is he now?
I was going to say !
That's wholesome
And his face ❤️
Love the excited squeals and the wide smiles. She will remember crazy hair days for the rest of her life. So wholesome I teared up.
OMG I'm 50. Is that too late to get an extra dad like this?
Speaking as someone who grew up fatherless, this delighted me but also made me sad.
Speaking as someone who didn't have a father or a crazy hair day at school, it made me sadder still.
Same :(

Just a reminder that the "too cool for dad" phase is not inevitable.
Wacky hair day in middle school was the best
The excitement in her face cant be contained
The happy screeches are EVERYTHING
And how she gets higher and higher in pitch the more excited she gets 😂
ikr, so wholesome!
Glorious!
This is the sort of content I could watch all day
It’s adorable! That is precious. Love seeing dads being sweet with their daughters ❣️🥰

*more important Future may never come. Future may be different, less accessible, etc.
10/10
You quoted one of the worst famous dads of the modern era.
True lol, but it’s still a quote that relates to the relied comment
He's also an example of separating the artist from the person.
To be fair John Lennon did aknowledge his wrongdoings and was trying to better himself, which can't be said for most people who have made bad decisions.
John Lennon also said “Hello.” at some point in his life

And when she'd be in class then that random 10mm socket you lost would fall out of her french braids :) good on you mechanic dad!
You are the dad she cherishes
Plus, I mean... this is probably all being done right before school, so they must have woken up extra early in the morning. This is the one that was popular before Cindy Lou who lol.
This is what I was going to say! In high school we would put water bottles in our ponytails and get super tall weird hair for crazy hair day. So fun!
One lad at my school shaved a perfect tennis ball pattern in his head and sprayed his hair tennis ball yellow. He was only at the school for a year but he was a well known legend just because of that one crazy hair day.
Yup, my mom put a wire hanger in my hair to achieve pippy longstocking braids lol
The wire hanger trick was SO COOL.
Great dad and daughter time 😊
Happy cake day!
Great job dad!
If I ever attempted to do this to my kid’s hair, it would end up on r/fuckmyshitup Glad there’s dads out there who are competent E: I meant r/justfuckmyshitup
there are tons of easy videos on YT. it’s a really sweet, personal, and unexpected way for dads to bond with their daughters.
I do a fantastic low pony. Anything else and my girls are SOL.
That’s why you practice on crazy hair day. The more fucked up the more crazy!
I did not intend to have my water spat across the room, Sir.
He's a champion.
So freaking adorable
She is so cute! Her shrieks of joy remind me of my own daughter, at a young age. 😍😍😍
This was perfect! Great job daddy!
Adorable squeaking😂
Those squeals of delight warmed my cold dead heart.
Lmao!!
Dad is killing it! Way to raise the bar, dude❤️
Core memory unlocked
She’s gonna watch this in 20 years and relive it all over again 😭😭
As will he, when his baby has long since left on her own life. He'll look back with joy and a little sadness. Beautiful moment
Stuff like that makes me want to be a dad so badly. Hope I'll get to bring just as much joy to my own kids.
its a lot work, time, and money for sure, having a family. but the rewards are more gratifying than anything else ive done with my life. best of luck to you friend

Adopt me Dad. What a fantastic core memory
Amazing job. I have two daughters and crazy hair day is one of the most stressful get ready for school days hahah
Adorable
Can anyone tell what kind of hair product or spray the dad is using?
I think it’s just silver, pink, and purple hairspray. No criticism to him at all, but I just want to remind everyone that if you use hairspray on your kid make sure they don’t have their mouths open and tell them to hold their breath!!! > you seriously do not want those chemicals in your respiratory system i do, but im just built different
Looks like it says "colorista" which I believe is by loreal and sold in places like Walmart, Target, etc. They have lots of colors.
Can confirm. Just bought this exact silver color for my kid’s own Wacky Hair Day. $10 at Target.
Probably temporary hair color spray

The white stuff might be dry shampoo. He sprayed it up close and used quite a bit, so the white powder shows. Comes in a can.
It could also be silver hair color spray. The Walgreens near me usually carry lots of colors around Halloween.
The coloured ones looks like the L’Oréal Colourista sprays!
You can see the can on the counter at the start of the video. It’s L’Oréal Colorista
those little screeches are adorable 😆
This is so cute. Her face at the end is priceless
Dad is a true hero
Look at his smile!!!
They are both so happy! She'll remember this forever. So cute.
That is a good daddy right there!! ✌️❤️

The toilet paper shield 💀
His shirt is correct

Cute!!!
Girl Cuteness! Genius dad !
I did my daughter’s hair for crazy hair day too and I thought I did well but this dude killed it. Raised the bar for all us dads.
I love being a girl dad
Seeing how happy he looks makes me happy too. I remember my dad doing my hair on the off day my mom wasn’t there and having uneven pigtails for school picture day. This is pure memories and bonding.

I always knew Nick Cannon was a good dad
The Squeals of excitement melt my heart ❤️
Very cool! Although I must admit I was hoping that the tube was going to stay in place as part of the hairdo.
Man inhaled too much hair spray. Don’t know where to look!
That’s a good dad. I am so bad at doing my daughters hair lol, I got the dumb hands
Very cool, love this! She’s so happy!
That’s why daughters are the princess for a wholesome infectious dads like him
She will NEVER forget this <333
Peak wholesome. Absolutely love it. Doing stuff like this is what makes being a dad one of the greatest jobs in the world.
